If you have the engine shroud off like that It's a good idea with that model Kohler Courage engine to inspect the head bolts to make sure they haven't worked their way out. It's a known problem on that engine for the head bolts to loosen and contact the rotor and either sheer the head of the bolt off or even crack the engine block. Also, the front valve cover is known to leak so inspect that as well.
Very good but my small engine mechanic told me not to use those spark plugs, they burn too hot. He said they make him a lot of money because of the problems they can cause. Use a regular spark plug
Can u answer something for me? The black sponge that came in the pack with the air filter, what is it for? Mine came with a green one and unsure where or why it came with it. Watched two videos and nether used it. One guy poured oil on it but didn't show what to do with it
@@TheHappyLife-h7b thats not the problem… he said when he turns…. Deck height is already good… the deck is probably loose and when he turns the deck moves

Great video. Thanks for sharing the info. I have a Troy Bilt pony that's about 10 years old but I think it will still work. Thanks again.
Thanks for watching. The only thing I did not do was flush the fuel. I use a stabilizer so I did not think of doing that.
Great job. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

I just used the air filter. Thanks for watching.
It’s a pre filter, gets dust before the actual filter
Why didn't you change the gas? Loved this video.
I always use a stabilizer in the gasoline. I never really thought about it honestly. Thanks for watching!
I put a 1/2 once of B12 in a tank of gas and it keeps carbon down
Been doing it for many years
Thanks for watching and thank you for the tip!!
How often do you do the tune-up
Just got me a used one runs well but when I turn it cuts the grass super low. Any ideas how to fix this ?
You have to adjust the deck height.
