We're up to our first "point of no return" - drilling a hole in the firewall! Dave does a trial fitting of the harness inside the engine bay and lays out all the engine wiring. There's a lot of pushing, pulling, measuring, checking and cutting going on before the harness is taken out again to be completed for the final install.

Round the 9:30min, i have used baby powder/ talcum powder. you do not get the dirt build up etc.. over time from the silicone spray

It seems a bit floppy. How do you stop the engine bay smells coming into the cab?
The same way the factory does, with rubber grommets
Once its sheathed and such, on finally assembly a zip tie or some heat shrink would finish the seal. But we're still a videos out on that yet.
Look at the firewall of just about every vehicle ever made. They all have holes in the firewall for wiring and hoses, all sealed with rubber grommets. Nothing "floppy" about it when done right.
