Damn, I sure do miss those Saturday nights way back in the late 70's and 80's watching Elwy and those great movies he played on TVO...Watching with my dad and brother...R.I.P to all 3 of them!... many memories that I will never forget!
Oh how I miss Elwy. I would love to have all his Saturday Night at the Movies posted and repeated in order online. With, or without, the movies (royalties would stop that from happening...). You could watch Elwy's intro, find the movie to stream somewhere, then watch his outro and interviews. Would be so great.
Funny how he indicates the films are a bit more contemporary for the time (1983). The films now would be of the vintage that would normally be seen on SNAM.
What was the name of the show where he interviewed actors, directors etc. I LOVED that part and the haunting intro! God this was a great Saturday night!
there was nothing more cozy than this show back in the days😊

Elwy Yost didn't know it, but he was my best friend growing up. Thanks for the movies, the lessons, the inspiration.
What a great concept this show was: A movie double feature, complete with interviews and trivia.
I loved Saturday night at the Movies great movies and guests interviews
