ELWY YOST ~ TVO SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES "Dr Strangelove & Fail-Safe" (intros/ interviews), 1994

This is a real treat, a nearly complete episode of TVOntario's Saturday Night At The Movies (minus the movies themselves which I removed to avoid any copyright issues). As I say, NEARLY complete, since it is missing the "pledge drive" segments that mid-20yr old me obviously wouldn't tolerate lol.
For the unfamiliar, Elwy Yost was the host of the above show for 25yrs. His enthusiasm for and encyclopedic knowledge of the cinema was infectious and his only real competitor on Saturday night TV was Hockey Night In Canada. Along with the movies he would also present interviews he's done with people associated with the films, be they actors, crew, critics etc.
Although the movies aren't presented here, the interview segments are fascinating in their own right. Elwy interviews:
