Anytime I see one of these clips with Elwy Yost I am reminded of myself as a 7 yr old boy watching Magic Shadows or Saturday Night At The Movies. My father, a huge fan of classic cinema, seated in his leather recliner enjoying a relaxing evening together. Thanks Elwy.
I wish I could say I knew of Elwy for years, but it was only the closing credits of Magic Shadows that I've known well for over a couple decades thanks to a Commodore 64 music program called "Swynth". However, in spite of my joy FINDING the theme piece, I have to admit to being rather thrilled to see his persona. What a perfect personality type for introducing films, and conducting interviews. A very wholesome, cheerful fellow. The world's a lesser place without him.
