Tiny bit of white plumbers tape on the tuning bolts, no mess like lockite, and will not cause issues with tuning.

Thanks for the comment! The only issue with tape is that it can disintegrate inside the lug, and clog up the threads. I think the best solution here is a better designed lug - one that incorporates a rubber grommet, like those that have been on Sonor hi-end kits for decades.
