I researched KERACARE/ AFFIRM because I noticed it's always been the product I go back to when I've tried other things. Dr Syed is a chemist that started KeraCare in the 80s and he purposely studied hair and patterns to cater to our hair. He's an interesting person and I appreciate his products. His stuff we should trust because all these people coming out with hair products because there's money to be made but they have no true understanding of the science of hair. Their just running after the title of CEO with subpar " hair" products. Thanks for this review.

You are so right! I've used natural products people cooking up in their kitchens, high end products geared towards white hair, cheap black beauty supply products and they are all not a good fit for my hair. I just got the thought to try higher end black professional hair products. I didn't go with Mizani because I smelled a leavein of theirs and it smelled like straight chemicals so Keracare it is. I'm going to look up Dr. Syed.

Always look at the ingredients in your product. The first ingredient is the main ingredient . Compare products look on the bottles.

I use the Mizani textures line occasionally, I love it,, and the thermasmooth ,also the keracare as well. The mizani oil free / oil sheens choke me , i use them because I bought them ,but I always fan the air after I spray.. its crazy . I prefer the keracare oil sheen

I use Mizani's True Textures, I'm natural and I color my hair. I find that it gives my hair the moisture it needs without feeling greasy. I've tried a lot of their shampoos and conditioners but I mostly use WEN.

I live in London, England, UK. Keracare and Mizani are not that easy to find in the local drugstore. Cheaper brands sell in our drugstore like Cantu, Ors and creme of Nature. My natural 4c fine strands love all of Cantu's products. However, they don't have a clarifier or chelating shampoo so I use Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three and it works like a dream. I have used Keracare and Mizani when I was relaxed and they worked OK for me.

Hi Marie, where in London are you? You can buy KeraCare, Mizani etc in PAKS. Depending on where you live, you can travel to Brixton, Hackney & Dalston, Shepherds Bush etc.

Thanks Crystal for the great info! I've used Kera Care for years and the Hydrating Shampoo is amazing. However, you got me interested in their Moisture Right line...I definitely want to try it. I also want to try Mizani. I've heard great things about their deep conditioner. I currently use the Joico and Pureology hydrating lines...those are both great especially when straightening out the hair.

I'm a cosmetologist and i absolutely LOVE Joico and Pureology!! That's all i use. I prefer those over Keracare and Mizani to he honest. Keracare will cause buildup after a while and i find thatbi have to clarify monthly using those products.
