I feel like I need a Zoom call with this man. I’ve been natural for almost 10 years and i feel so hair incompetent no matter how many videos I watch, no matter how many questions I ask my hair stylist. My 3c/4a hair is struggling 😩 and not struggling at the same time. Not sure what to do. I’d have him on my podcast First Paso to share his story with my audience while also intermittently helping me learn hair practices. I pray he sees this because... i. need. heelllpppp 😂.

As a single white foster, soon to be adoptive, mom of two AA little girls, I have got to say thank you! There are so many different opinions, non-factual information, and old school methods out here. After a lot of studying the chemical components of AA hair, I have found your vids/information to be the best. Between learning hair porosity and seeing the affordable products you have shown, I have finally been able to figure out my youngest's hair, as you know, textures can change. I never had any clue about the depth of how difficult it can be to properly maintain and care for AA hair. That partnered with the overpriced, low commonality of products, and black-owned products, has been a struggle and is ridiculous. The capitalism of black hair care products is sickening. But anyway, I truly appreciate you and your helpful videos. So again, many, many thanks!!

Thank you from a fine, kinky, curly hair chic! Many hairdressers look at me crazy when I say I have fine hair. I went natural bc my relaxed hair made me look bald if I pulled my hair into a ponytail behind my head. I have a medium amount of hair on my scalp but my hair strands are literally baby fine. My hair will break off with any amount of repeat & constant manipulation. I wish I could find someone as knowledgeable as you in my area East TN. I’ve been natural 10 yrs and have yet to find someone I am comfortable with to do my hair on a regular basis. I’ve been trying to get to tailbone lengths for at least 8 years and I also fall shy by about 4 inches. I need the help of a professional but each time I’ve reached out they get pressed for time and rip through my hair. The Detangling & blow drying process is always the deal breaker for me. No one wants to use a tension method or stretch the hair or even sections the hair during these processes! You mentioned that your daughter has fine hair…Can you possibly do a video on how you would handle fine hair during a simple wash and press! Or wash & set! Thanks so much!

I am so grateful for your channel, you out of hundreds of vids on black hair care are the realest. I unfortunately broke off hair 2 yrs ago due to coloring it because I did a home combo of red and chocolate. It came out dope but my fine thin here became fragile and breaking off and curls in sections were gone. It grew back and got healthy with holistic kitchen herbs etc ( not rice water-worsened). Anyhooser, it got stronger and was growing nicely then in Oct. 2020 I got Covid was hospitalized in ICU 12 days, 🙏🏽 Blessed I survived. My hair post Hospital was coming out in clumps. I been wearing lace fronts and studying trying to figure out my porosity, etc. I've been watching your vids for a few months and this shampoo n conditioner has my curls strong and poppin and when gently stretched my hair is down my back now, stronger. You helped me save a couple wigs too. I just had to thank you. I also do my 2 grands hair when they stay over, Their mom is not to good at black hair care and won't listen so their heads come here all matted and dry, chile just raggedy!! But they go home looking good. Please keep up the AWESOME contributions here. God Bless You. Soon I hope to wear it natural in fall. I still protective style, eat right, moisturize, Deep condition and wear wigs only when out sometimes but at home I let it breathe. I saw your hair and said let me listen, he knows what's up. And yes you do. My curls are poppin again but still very thin. Thanks again...LOVE 🥰💝🧴🚿🥥🥑🧄🧅🍯🍍💦💆‍♀️Ladii TC

Oh the irony I have fine hair that's past my shoulders and I recently bought a moisturizer that came in a spray bottle instead of a cream and oh my goodness what a difference the spray application makes it goes right into the hair and leaves it soft and healthy without making it look greasy which is fantastic as my hair can't handle a lot of creams, lotions, or oil without looking oily. I can confirm this is a good tip for fine hair. Thanks for including us fine haired folks. Much appreciated.

Hi there! I just wanted to say thank you. I had knots in my hair because I just kept a protective style in for a while and would undo it when I went out, then right back into protective style. I remembered this video and went to the beauty store and picked up the Kenra moisturizing conditioner and... can I tell you that thing melted my knots away. I finger detangled without issue. So thank you for this tidbit. Thank you.

You are alwaaaays my go-to for all things hair. Thank you so much, my question; do kids need other type of products on their hairs or are these okey for young ones? (Age 4 and above)? 🌷

Thanks so much for sharing your expertise! I just moisturized with a cream based product and added a tiny bit more water...my hair loves it! Definitely thirsty. My question is how do you effectively add moisture to blow dried hair. Thanks to your demo of the RevAir I ordered it and have safely straightened my daughters’ hair but how do I keep the moisture locked in without making the hair frizz out?

Could you please do a video about good products from stylers to shampoos, conditioners, treatments with low to no odor for dry kinky hair? I find many products to be too heavily scented.

Great video! Looking to support more black owned business products alongside maintaining my hair. Do you know which products are black owned?

I know that mielle is, I believe Jane Carter solution is as well. Mane choice is partly black owned, she partnered for more reach if I’m not mistaken.
Technically Shea moisture still is, although many of their formulas changed because it was sold by the original owners. It’s now owned by sundial brands which is black owned. CurlMix is black owned also, and I haven’t gotten my hands on it yet, but I’ve heard great things about them.

I just started watching your video yesterday and ended up watching like 10🤣 Now today I'm back again. Can you explain if your hair care is good for Caucasian hair as well as other ethnicities. My hair is super fine and I use oleplex. Other products seem to weigh it down but I know it needs protein and moisture. How do I do this without looking flat or oily? Btw you are amazing and so is your family!

So from your lectures (cos you're an amazing teacher!) I've realized that I have very thirsty hair.
    Question:
Do I let the moisturizer dry before I apply a sealant or should I apply my leave-in and then seal? I use shea butter to seal my hair but I'm never sure if I should apply it immediately or after the conditioner has dried.

That's a good question. To bad you didn't get the answer... because I need to know also

    • @curli-lettey4319
      @curli-lettey4319 3 года назад +9

As for the moisturizer drying then seal, no, it's best to apply it right after the moisturizer because you want the sealant to hold in that moisture.
With the leave-in then sealant....that's basically the same thing, apply leave in then sealant (especially if the main ingredient in your leave in is water) how that helps.

Don't let it dry out , the idea is to seal in the moisture .
