    when I needed to move my appliances, I used "left over" tiles and turned them upside down and stuck them to the bottom of my range and ref. They slid like butter over the new tiles and easy to take off after you put them back

    This stuff is awesome! After I bought my used RV, the first thing I did was rip out the grungy carpeting and install peel & stick vinyl tile from Home Depot. Easy peazy! First I thoroughly cleaned the plywood surface beneath (fortunately it had no warping or damage). As I was letting it completely dry, I bought samples of different styles to see which I liked, and ended up choosing a parquet pattern that matches my cabinets. Peel & stick! I completed the project by adding a little sealant around where the tile meets the walls. I live in my RV, and after FIVE YEARS, the floor is still going strong!

    lay a line of caulking where tile meets wall edges..keeps the water from going under

    I used Style Selections peel and stick for both my bathroom floors, they had a 25 year warranty and they are textured and look like real tile, they were very thick and hard to cut, but so worth it, 6 years later still look new, very durable. Traffic Master is also very durable, I did my kitchen with them and they are over 10 years old and still look very good.

    If, your original floor has any type of 'texture' like an orange etc you should have put down a 'general purpose primer' and then spread down a feather-fill skim coating. Without that, dirt, debris etc will migrate between the peel and stick seams and get under the tiles you laid and lift the tile.

    • @MrRuger1977
      @MrRuger1977 4 года назад

      You shouldn’t add additional adhesive when laying peel and stick tiles. The adhesive you use often won’t bond with the adhesive on the tiles.

    • @Lizarddqueen79
      @Lizarddqueen79 4 года назад +2

      @@MrRuger1977 I see your point but it actually works. Maybe in humid climates I can see that being true.

    • @Lizarddqueen79
      @Lizarddqueen79 4 года назад +1

      @@MrRuger1977 I would recommend letting the adhesive get tacky prior to installing the tiles. I could see a PSA working well with a LVT w/adhesive. However, I recommend a better quality LVT to begin, one with at least a 12 mil wear layer and no adhesive.

    I disagree with the people who are telling you to paint the toe kick area white. In the video at 12:24, you can see how beautifully the wood element transitions from the adjoining room (wide entranceway) which has beautiful honey stained wood floors. Interior design classes I took taught us that in order to create a 'flow' in the house there should be at least one element from every room used in the adjoining room and again into the next room. The flow tends to invite you in and creates good QI ("chee"). In my opinion, she has accomplished this rather beautifully. The kitchen looks stellar! ...and I LOVED your video.😊

    Just a caution. My son put peel and press tile in my bath. Not thinking I washed the floor as if it was regular tile. Since there is no grout the water goes under the tile and can create mold or dirt areas. I knew to use windex on my half bath as it was peal and stick also but I thought he had put grout between. Years later ,when I picked up the tile to change it I had a lot of cleaning to do and had to clean the adhesive also. So I recommend cleaning with windex and paper towels-as the sales person had originally told me to do that. Brain fog at times lol
