- Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing with you how I used peel n stick Floorpops to cover my old vinyl floor and get a beautiful new patterned floor in my laundry room. This is phase on of our laundry room makeover, stay tuned for phase two.
Here are the tiles I used for this project: rstyle.me/+hWI4ue-wSy6gjQ6FMb...
The only other thing you need is something to cut the tiles with such as scissors or an exactoknife

Completing this project in "2 baby naps" is the exact timeframe measurement I needed. I now feel motivated to start my laundry room! It is totally DOABLE 🤗 thank you!
Thanks for the video.Iam going to pick out my floor tiles this weekend. So helpful.
Lol i did my whole kitchen with this bold tile. I absolutely love it and it’s so fitting for my style of kitchen.
I can't wait to use this in my rental thanks for the share
WOW!! What a difference! I love it!
Thank you!!
My daughter used stick on tiles on the lower cabinets in the kitchen and it works great specially under the sink.😉
I'm running to go buy these now! Good job.
Good luck on your project :)
I just ordered similar tiles for our bathroom and am excited to get them in and get started! I will also be filming the process of our bathroom makeover for my channel! Thanks for the video; you gave some great tips!
LiveLoveLogan good luck!! I hope you love them, can’t wait to see your video
I think I’m going to order these for my bathroom! Can’t believe how easy it is to change flooring
These would be perfect in a bathroom!
Funny! I just laid floor pops last night in my entry. They are easy and so fun! Love your choice!!
I am so happy I found them, and they have held up fantastic in the laundry room, great quality
A SERIOUSLY BIG THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO. I checked out your link also where you got your tile. And what a great selection they have. Ordered our tiles to do our kitchen. And some others for our laundry room. THANK YOU SO MUCH. 💟
I am so glad it was helpful and you are set to do your spaces!!
Thank you for the video! I just purchased something very similar for our small bathroom and you made me feel like I can lay the floor successfully!
How has it held up a year later? Better or worse than you expected. I looked back at my receipt and we bought the exact same floor but in gray
It has actually held up fantastic, even better than expected!
You did that flawlessly!
Thank you
Starting from the centre works, if everything is square. If not, you will end up having to trim every edge piece. Better to start with a square corner, or starting a corner square, and working out, (leaving a slight gap to be covered by base board) that way, you only need to trim to edges, rather than 4. Also, like you said, purchase more than you need. Despite any mistakes, the great thing about these tiles, is if they wear/tear you can peel them up and replace them, unlike click/lock flooring or sheet vinyl. Well done and, Great video!
Thanks for sharing this! I know now what I will do on my floor bathroom!!😃
Good luck, I love to hear that
Turned out beautifully
Thank you!!
"...two baby nap times"... 😆😆😆
So glad I checked YT!! I was adding these tiles to my amazon cart!
Doing this in my laundry room!
I’m so glad you found it, good luck with your laundry room!
I just brought these for my bathroom❤ so pretty
I think you will love them!!
Beautiful
Gorgeous. I want to put something similar on the floor of my RV. Great tips. Sicissors! I have used the exacto knife on =ther project and it was really hard to get lines straight. AND kinda scary.
Yes for this type the scissors were much easier to get straight lines, for me anyway!
love it
GREAT JOB 👍
Thank you!
Thank you girl so much this is so Preaty ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This looks awesome😍
Love this thank u!
Very nice brilliant miss
Hi! Thanks for the video! I'm about to install these in my laundry room and I've been searching for tips. I'm concerned about moving the washer and dryer back over these after installed. Did you have any problems sliding them on top of them?
I'm doing this in my son's old bedroom today hopefully, now that all the painting etc is wrapped up. The template is the only thing I'm worried about, though I've made them before in other project's successfully. I have plenty of extra tile though so, just going for it! Wish me luck!
Good Luck! The templates using the backing from the tiles was very helpful, however I found it much easier to use scissors than an exact knife with the template
That is a great idea! I had only been thinking bathrooms and laundry rooms. I need a flooring solution for my super-messy 5 year old’s room. I hadn’t considered this until I ready your comment. Thanks! 🤗
@@eauneau Update: My sons floor came out awesome and has held up perfectly. Now, I'll be challenging my kitchen/hallway! Over this winter (which I'm no fan of) I decided to spend my spare time re-doing the entire thing totally DIY! Painted all of the cabinet's, new hardware, painted upper wall's, stacked stone paper on lower wall's, new lighting on ceiling's, under bar lighting, under cabinet lighting, new door's and hardware which I'm finishing painting as I write this new wall decor, rustic/farmhouse (taking a break) and THEN, THE FLOORING!!! I'm excited and also VERY nervous! We went with plank flooring 'Walnut Ember Gray' self adhesive from Home Depot. Everything else has gone according to plan and I'm praying this goes as well??!!
Great job, ma'am! I'm thinking of doing this to my daughters bathroom. Regarding the scissors, would you also say a Guillotine paper Trimmer would work with these thick vinyl tile or would it be too thick? Thanks for the info!
Great video thank you! I'm going to try this but it has to transition at the threshold to carpet. Do you have any suggestions on how to do that?
Is there a transition piece there now? For ours there was one already there I just put the tiles right up to it
What did you clean your existing floors with prior to putting down the new tiles? I'm so glad I found this video as we are getting ready to put the exact same floor in our laundry room... Even the same pattern!
that is awesome you will love it! If I remember correctly I just used my normal vinegar solution to clean the floor underneath and then did a steam mop before installing
Ok great. Thank you!
So glad I found your video! I’m in the process of doing a few cosmetic changes around my home and came across Wall Pops vinyl tile flooring. The previous owners only did wood floors in the main area of my home so I’m having to go around and redo the flooring in the rest of the house. I was going to tile the bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room and pantry, but I found this flooring instead and have been debating on using it.
Have your floors held up after install and are you still happy with the way they look after a few months of use?
I absolutely love this tile for my laundry room it is very durable and has held up great even better then I anticipated! I haven’t noticed any wear at all and it is very easy to clean
Yessss! I’m so glad to hear the positive review, can’t wait to install!! Thank you
Nice 😃
Use a straight edge with the X-Acto knife!
Thanks for the great video! Do you remember if your flooring underneath was textured at all? We are doing peel and stick tiles (different brand) and I'm worried that because our flooring has a slight texture to it, it won't stuck as well. From the video, our flooring looks a lot like your old flooring, but it's hard to tell. Thank you!
It may have had a little bit of texture to it but was pretty much a flat smooth surface to apply
Did you wash and scrub the floor before hand. Did you move the washer and do underneath or just tile around it
Love love love this!!! I have subway tile flooring in my guest bathroom! Unfortunately the tile did not stick AT ALL to it. Any recommendations on what I can do to have it stick?
I assume the issue with sticking to subway tile is that it is a slick finish?
Maybe so!!! Can I sand that down to rough it up some??
Hi Emily, I found these awhile ago - wanting to order the same pattern in gray - for my bathroom. Unfortunately, I have the really small mosaic tile floors. How is the stickiness of these? Do you think this will hold well over many grout lines? Also, what did you clean your floor with first before starting?
They are quite sticky but I’m not sure how they would work over mosaic, if they are level I’m sure it would be fine. You may be able to ask wallpops! To clean I just used a vinegar solution then I steam mopped right before
I have the same ugly mosaic nasty white tiles. Trying to convince my hubby to replace with adhesive tile.
Did you move the washer and dryer out to do the whole floor? Or did you not lay any under them?
Hi Emily, Thanks for the video, it looks stunning! I was wondering if you think any additional adhesive product is needed to make sure the tiles will stick longer? I'm about to do my bathroom floor i'm so exited! Thanks and take care!
Thank you!! No I didn’t use anything other than what was on the back of the tiles
You could rent a heavy duty roller to go over it after
Such a good video.Thank you! I've watched several video tutorials about installing adhesive tiles. One tutorial stated that it's absolutely crucial to let the tiles acclimate to the room's temperature for 48-72hrs before installation otherwise you can run into issues with the adhesive not adhering properly. Just wondering if you did this?
Certain flooring does require that, I believe these tiles said on the box you did not. However I did have them at my house for a few days before I installed them
@@EmilyBurn Wow, that's great to know... and thank you for telling me! My floorpops are coming tomorrow, so now I can plan my weekend install! Again, many thanks for all you have taught me.
You did a beautiful job! I’m wanting to do this to my laundry room after seeing how nice yours looks. Do you know if this can go over concrete?
Thank you!! I don’t see why not, as long as it is pretty level I assume it would be fine! However I bet wallpops would probably have an answer for you
@@EmilyBurn It says do not install on concrete on the package.
Thank you so much for this video! Just curious -- How is the tile holding up?
Great I made an update video a couple weeks ago so you can see
hows the vynil now? is it okay if its ge wet?
I just bought these but a different pattern and I did not do so well
How did you move the washer and dryer without messing up the tile??
Thanks, great video, would you recommend this kind of tile for a kitchen?
It could definitely work in a kitchen just depends what kind of space your kitchen is
My kitchen floor is hideous and I do not have a lot of time and money so this looks like a solution. Question, what is the durability? Do you get what you pay for when it comes to flooring? Great video. Watched before bed. Something to look forward to in the morning. Picking out my flooring. Thank you.
I have been very happy with the quality I did an update video a couple weeks ago
Thanks this video help me a lot now my wife thinks im a tile expert installer🤣🤣
👏🏼👏🏼
useful! :)
did you stick it overtop a solid piece floor linoleum ?????????????? your saying vinyl it looks like linoleum a big sold rolled out piece thats what i got wondering if it last over that or if i should take lin up or prep it with peel stick prep glue bonding crap?
Just curious....did you remove the quarter round moulding before installing the self stick tile?
I did not, because ours just happened to sit much higher than the existing floor but you might need to in your space
Hi! Excellent job❗️ How many packs did you use in total?
I don’t recall, but there is a calculator on the site to tell you how many you would need for your space, I used almost every last tile no extras
What does it look like where the “raw”edge meets the doorways?
Yes, can you show a close up pic of the door areas ?
We already had a transition piece in the doorway into the living area from the laminate floors, the tiles fell “under” that. This was lucky if you had nothing there a transition piece could be needed?
Was hoping you'd show how you cut around the drain
Are these easily removable? (I rent so I don't want to damage their original tiles)
I don’t think these would be easily removable and might damage the floor underneath when you removed depending on what kind it was underneath
Use a heating tool to remove peel and stick tiles hope i wasnt too late
@@manifestabundance1689 would a hair dryer work?
Erica Lopez i haveny tried it but i dont see what it wouldnt work
Hey Emily, great video! Was it hard to pull the washer and dryer out? Did u have to unplug them? Trying to do this without asking hubby’s help, lol
I did them myself, and just moved them to one side without unplugging then pushed them back lol 😂
@@EmilyBurn thank you so much! Just started following your channel! You rock Mama! Xoxo from a mama of 3 over here in Canada!
I'm getting ready to put this flooring down in my bathroom! Soo excited to finally cover up my ugly vinyl! lol. My only question is did you remove any quarter round off the baseboard before you installed? or do you think that needs to be done? I'd rather just install it up to the baseboard as they are but I can't seem to find any tips about what is best...
Hi!! I didn’t remove anything, we didn’t have quarter rounds in the space but I left the baseboards in place when I installed!
I have a question I’m doing this right now to my bathroom the tiles are eventually gonna stick in place during the time right ?
I’m not sure I understand?
@@EmilyBurn The question is: did they hold? Stay in place? Or are they peeling off?
What about the space in between the tiles? Do they fit 100% flush?
Yes there is no space between the tiles
@@EmilyBurn Are they holding up after a year?
Looks amazing! just wondering how many packs you ended up using? Just out of curiosity xx
I just looked back at my order! I used 3 boxes, I should have ordered 4 I didn’t have a single spare left :)
Emily Burn Thank you!!! 😘
how thick are they?? and are they waterproof?
They are actually pretty thick, and yes they are waterproof!
How is the sticky tile holding up?
Still holding up great for us! Very happy
Can these be used in a bathroom?
Yes they definitely can!
Can we use it to a wood floor?
I would never put peel and stick tiles on wood personally
Can you use this kind of tile on top of stone tile not vinyl tile????
Yes I think the tile just needs to be smooth not textured for it to adhere best
yes you can , you may need to skim coat first though. Its very easy self leveler you just troul over top. Thin tiles like in video would show groat lines maybe , better safe then sorry
But can you do an update on this and show how it’s held up for a year?
That’s a great idea I will try and film something this upcoming week, I will let you know here when it’s up
Hi Allison just wanted to let you know the update video is now up! :)
Emily, I did it! The whole bedroom by myself! Even had to make a tile with several different cut's to mold from straight, to angled, to go under the transition strip (which I removed) to meet carpet in the adjoining room! I'm really happy with the result's! Go girl's!!!! :)
Audrey that is so awesome, very glad to hear it! Finishing a project is such a good feeling!
I rented an apartment and I don’t like the tile in the kitchen. I intend covering it up with a peel and stick tile over it, but can the peel and stick tile be easily removed when i want to move out in the future without destroying the underly tile because i would want my complete damaged deposit 😅.
I’m sorry I am really not sure if these would be renter friendly or hard to remove to move out
They can be removed but they usually leave a VERY sticky residue after, which can be cleaned with adhesive remover but is a hassle
Do these clean easily? Do you mop them? Do they stain from dirt?
They are great quality very thick vinyl and easy to clean I just sweep and microfiber mop them with the rest of my floors. They don’t show dirt easily at all
How is it holding up 5yrs later?
Did you allow them to sit for any amount of time before you laid them? Or did you just open them up and start laying them?
I think I actually got them in the mail a few days before I actually got around to putting them down but I’m not sure that would be a necessary step
They reccomend to let them sit at least 2 days to acclimate to the indoor temperature. I definitely needed this step because I ordered and got mine in 30 degree weather and it's a comfortable 70 in my house! Maybe if there weren't such a difference in temps it would be different. Also if you end up putting them vertically on a surface, heating up the adhesive with a hair dryer will make them stick better!
How long has it lasted without lifting?
I still have no lifting or issues, it’s been at least two years since I did this :)
Did these hold up good?
Yes they have they are great quality
Hi Sara just letting you know I put a video up showing the update how they have held up! :)
3:32 Gawd mom, I'm just trying to help! How's it holding up? We did something like this in the kitchen and looked great at first but after a few months they started to wear and scratch quite easily
They are holding up great so far, they were really nice quality super thick pieces not thin like some I have seen in stores. They are much better quality then what was in the room before as well
@@EmilyBurn These are excellent quality and I am impressed so far.
I'm in the process of doing my laundry room also. We pulled up this old ugly green carpet and I've been trying to find some vinyl flooring that wouldn't break my bank. I'm so glad I stumble across your video. The hardest part now is choosing the color. Not a bad price. But I wouldn't bother to install behind the machines seems waste of time. How did you measure to determine how many boxes you would need?
Yes it was a great price! I did measure to figure out how much I needed but I would also add on a little extra I only had one tile leftover. I did behind the machines as well
Can u clean them
Yes I clean them regularly, they are actually very easy to clean!
What about the cost?
I don’t recall the exact cost since it was awhile & would depend on the size of your space but I think I paid under $100 for all the tiles I needed
Ok thanks
How much did Nike pay you to wear that hat? Great job
I wish a single cent 🤣
