This is bloody marvellous! We're turning a 'harry potter room' into a cat closet and I'm planning to put tiles on the floor. No pipes to navigate but for fitting around the door etc this is so informative and presented in a way that even the most DIWhy types can follow. Thank you!
Just followed this guide , cracking vid no BS or waffling on . Fitted a 5mm hardboard top floor on top of my old distressed boards , fitted and cut stick on tiles as per - job done .
Very helpful video. I had managed to lay all the 'easy' tiles, but figuring out how to cut them to fit around the door frame was blowing my mind - thanks.
@@homeimprovements It says something about using primer on a concrete floor, when putting down the linoleum tiles. What sort of primer do I need? As I'm confused about what sort of primer it's referring too. Thanks.
Awesome stuff. Got to do my first floor tomorrow and am a little confident after this. Very clear and very easy to follow lets hope i dont make a pigs ear of it. Lol
Any alternative to the plywood underlay ? I need to put vinyl adhesive planks in the kitchen dining and I have got floor boards .. can I use foam underlay ? Anything easier and more flexible than the plywood? .. any advice much appreciated
Great video lads. One question (probably a stupid one!) but how did you fit it around the sink? Is it just the same method as fitting it round the door frame?
Wish I'd seen the wall tip, I still got a decent finish but would have been less swearing. Great tips in this video, Thanks from a budding budget DIYer

Thanks guys! very helpful, you have a new sub.
Should show how to cut around the bog and sink. I think people would have trouble with that. Otherwise great video lads 👍
Thanks much appreciated

What did you use to secure the 5mm plywood down with? Hammer and wood nails or with an electric screw driver with screws. Thanks.

Fantastic video and great tips
👏🏼👏🏼😁
So helpful.
Glad it was helpful! 👍🏻
Love your DIY videos fellas. Fair play to you lads. Top banana 👌❤️
Nice one mate appreciate it 😁💪🏼💪🏼
You make it look so easy! I have an awkward L shape hallway. Great tips but I’m scared of messing it up so I might pay someone 😅
Thank you!! I have a odd shaped bathroom and was a bit afraid to start.
Glad we could help. Hope you have a good day.
Thank you, yall have a great day too!
Everything is easy now 👊🙏
Great vid .. any suggestion for suitable grout for these types of tiles? I want to use spaces and grout but unsure on grout. Thank you ❤
These can’t have spacing 😞😞
Brilliant lads. I am surmising it is the same process with those large carpet tiles ?
Absolutely brilliant can or would you recommend that you can lay these over existing ceramic floor tiles? To update a batheoom
They state suitable for tiles 😁👍🏼
Fantastic 🎉🎉😮
Thanks 🤗
Good informative video
Thank you 😊
@@homeimprovements bathroom sub floor put in tiles laid, fit "like a glove" cheers again lads
Excellent instruction video. Some other videos say to aclimatise the tiles in the room for a few days before installation, is that really needed?
just about to do mine, great video but as you know your not going to please everyone, but im well pleased.
could i use a contour gauge to do the sections near the door frame?
You can 😊
Thank you!
Can you put viny tiles on osb? Or would it need self leveling or an underlay?
All we wanted to know was how to cut them around the toilet 😂
Use a pair of sheers designed for thin aluminum flashing.....works great
will plywood not rot in a bathroom if the floor is frequently getting wet? should you not use a marine plywood?
Does the plywood subfloor need priming?
Thanks. Great help>
Glad it helped!
Can you do a video on herringbone tiles 😊
Will try 😁
Any alternative to the plywood underlay ? I need to put vinyl adhesive planks in the kitchen dining and I have got floor boards .. can I use foam underlay ? Anything easier and more flexible than the plywood? .. any advice much appreciated
Do you use silicone on the edges afterwards? Or what is the best way of sealing the space between tiles and walls?
We will be yes 😁
what to do with uneven surface in a room or if the floor is old ?
Great video! How would u fix the plywood on concrete? Tips to avoid the pipe? 😊
No nails glue stuff
Fab!👏
Thanks 😊
Is there an underlay I can put down before adhesive tiles to make it a bit warmer on a concrete floor? (Living room floor 🥶)
I’ve got vinyl wooden effect flooring down already which I don’t like - can I lay these down ontop of that?
Great video very helpful but didnt show us how to cut around the toilet area & sink
same principle as the door frame. use a card template
This was delicious!!!
Why didn't you prime the ply with PVA or similar to help the tiles adhere to the plywood?
Can I stick on laminate floors cheers
Can I reuse the 5mm plywood? The old adhesive tiles are lifting and the plywood is sticky.
Can I stick the tiles directly on a lino floor?
I wouldn’t suggest it personally 😊
Is it water tight?
Did mine today. Sealant was my best friend that’s all I’m gunna say 🤣🤣😪
Do they last in a bathroom?
I've used wallpaper cut to same size squares it's better
Great video lads. One question (probably a stupid one!) but how did you fit it around the sink? Is it just the same method as fitting it round the door frame?
Not stupid at all mate for someone learning that’s what we would suggest 😊💪🏼
brill
How come mines are not sticking on the floor i clean the floor before putting them and they not sticking 🤦🏽♂️
Lol what about showing us how to cut around the toilet 🙈😕
You take the toilet off silly
Альхьмдюлюлахь👍👍🫶
That shouldn’t be easy!
Thanks
Awesome video., but I don't care for tattoos 😮
Me neither
We can hear nothing? Where is the point make video
Seems fine just checked audio 🤔
Meanwhile the bath is all scratched up with you having your shoes on! 🤦🏼♀️
Very crummy directions on how to cut tiles. To anyone: watch several other videos other than this one to get it right.
Wish I'd seen the wall tip, I still got a decent finish but would have been less swearing. Great tips in this video, Thanks from a budding budget DIYer
Thank you!😊
