Easy to follow for beginners, instruction oh how to install peel and stick tiles. I used Carrara Marble by Traffic Master from Home Depot. This is the second room I did, the first was our Laundry room. Link Below.
Since our install we had a flood in the bathroom and the peel and stick tiles are waterproof and still look great in the bathroom.
Tip: Get all the tiles you need all at once to make sure you have the same lot.
We are not sponsored just sharing what we used and like.

Finally a video that shows how to go around the toilet! I dont trust myself enough to uninstall it lol. Thank you!!
You are very welcome!!
Me either lol
Also, instead of struggling to go around the toilet, just cut the tile in half.
You did a better job explaining this than any of the three men's videos I watched. LOL
Thank you soooo much!!! Really appreciate your comment
Finally, a video that I understood on how to cut difficult edges 😅 thanks!
Thank you!!!
@secretgardenhome1809 I just finished!! ... it took a couple of hours, but thanks again ma'am! 😊

You ste so welcome!
Excellent video. I remove the trim and if you cut something just a hair short it won't show after you put the trim back on. Do it yourself and admire what you did. You must not be in a hurry or you will get frustrated 😊
@carmenmyer8985 Thank you, yes i take my time.
Greatttttttt video!!! I really enjoyed your step by steps. Very helpful for when I do mine. Thank you! 🤗

@@secretgardenhome1809 😅
Looks good, Im going to do my bathroom with the same tile as well. Behind the toilet is already making me cringe🥴 but it looks great!
Great! I just bent the tile slightly and it worked fine! If you can't then I would cut the tile in the middle and install it that way. Let me know how it looks. Thanks for commenting! 🙂
Just remove the water line it comes right off
Look so beautiful.
Thank you so much !🙂❤️
thanks, cutting tile is hard, can we tile under toilet. it is less cut !
Yes you absolutely can,I show that in the video.
Absolutly greate job! Thank you and enjoy the nice new floor. :)
Glad you enjoyed this video and we love the floor.
Let me give you a tip when using the paper to trance the edge of the toilet base .
cut small strips down the paper uou sre pressing against the toilet base it makes the paper easye to to draw along job done sweetie 😁
Yes you are right , I actually do that usually but didn't need to this time. 🙃
How is it holding up i was wondering how will the tiles handle being around alot of water
They are waterproof. We had a flood a few months ago from a leaky toilet and it was absolutely no problem we had professionals come in to remove water and the tiles were still intact in our bathroom and laundry room.
The tile is waterproof but the seams aren’t. I have these in my basement bathroom and they will eventually come loose. You can’t grout the seams so water will get under them.
@@rhukaduka You CAN absolutley put in grout. Its tells you on the manufactures instructions. So far we have not had any problems with the tiles coming loose and its been quite a while since we installed them even with the flooding we had. But I suppose if the area you have it constantly damp/wet maybe that might be an issue IDK. I can only say what our experience is in our guest bath and laundry room. I suppose if yours come loose you can always add a new tile perhaps?
@@rhukaduka..yes you can..says so on the packaging.
Great video! Is it mandatory to remove old tiles ? Or i can just over attach it on top of old tiles?
Code states no more then 3 layers. Also remove toilet first
I enjoy your video it was well explaned
Thank you!!🙂
VERY helpful, thank you. 😊
I'm very happy to hear!!!
This was a great tutorial.
Instead of removing the whole toilet. Wouldn’t it be easier to spilt the tile in half? Or did that way not fit either?
Oh I was able to bend the tile a bit in order to fit it behind toilet with no problem, but yes cutting it would have been an option since it's kind of hidden behind d the toilet. Thanks !
How has this held up since doing it? Really want to do this for my bathroom but so many people keep mentioning mould etc
Mine has held up perfectly fine, no problems, no mold. Hope this helps. Thanks for commenting.
Best install video soo fast esp with the cuts tixs
Thank you!!!
Very nice flooring🎉🎉
Thanks !!!!
That is so smart ty
Thank you sooo much!!! Hope it helps
Is it because of the patterns on the tile that the tiles need tobe in the same direction? Also, is there any chance of water getting in-between and under the tiles?
We had a flood later on from a leaky toilet that needed replacing. And we had proffesionals come in to replace our entire family room flooring, which was not these tiles but different flooring. BUT THE TILES in the bathroom that I used did not need replacing. So there was no water damage or in between the tiles. So far so good.
Be better with factory edges meeting - cut edges around the edges. Excellent vid - thanks!
Yes, Thanks!
Did you use regular bathroom caulk or a seal strip around the edges of toilet, walls, and cabinet?
Yes I just used regular plumbing caulk around edges, walls, tub and cabinet and no not a seal strip. Hope this helps.🙂
What's used to seal all joins? Water will make its way everywhere.
We are doing our floor today. Should we use extra glue to prevent water?
Looks lovey we done🙏
Thank you 😀
@@secretgardenhome1809 🙏🙏
What about the quarter round ? Did you take it off or glued it next to it?
No I kept it off it looks fine doesn't show that I even cut it off.
Thank you
You r welcome!
good video
Thank you!!!
Take a heat gun to the back to slightly heat glue and then put down. It helps the glue stick better.
Thanks for your comment I appreciate you taking the time , but I didn't have any trouble with the tiles sticking well. :)
Hi. How You gone isolate conetctions of those tiles? Have You done part 2 where You put grout beetwen? Sorry maybe i missed somethink
No I didn't put grout between tiles, I chose not to as grout get dirty really easy and doesn't stay white. But you can certainly use grout if you wish. Thanks for comment.
Listen love try this way get your peice of paper cut to size of tile cut little strip s down then offer paper to the base of the toilet the paper will be more flexible to draw around
When done put on a tile and copy on tile job done 😂❤
U don't have to remove the old floor that's the point of it being easy
Actually, yes, I did have to remove the old flooring. It was curling, peeling, and breaking off in places. And stinky, especially around the toilet. Men, you know, sometimes miss the toilet, lol! BUT In our laundry room, I did leave the old flooring on and placed new tiles over it. It was in much better shape, so in that instance, it was fine to leave it the old floor on. I have that video as well.
You absolutely want to remove the old floor, especially if it’s ceramic. If you don’t, you will have indentations over time, unless you want to put down a liquid vinyl substrate such as floor leveler. I’d take this one step further and pull the toilet, this eliminates having to replace a few pieces should the toilet be replaced at a later time. Unless you are in a newer house, now is a good time to put new parts in the toilet as well to insure trouble free operation for years to come.
@@nobodystalkin1you can place them on ceramic
Can I stick these tiles on vinyl flooring?
@@Helena-e8gyes but use extra spray adhesive
start in the center and put as many full size tiles down as possible..
Yes thats what proffesionals will tell you. I decided against it for this small area.
Very nice floor, did you grout?
No, I don't like grout it's gets so dirty.
Did you install builders paper?
Sorry not sure what you mean?
So for the layout you used, you didn’t need the chalk line?
No after all I just put it in there in case I needed to use it. But its still a good idea to know where your straignt lines are.
my biggest problem is both the walls and doorframe are not straight or even..such a pain in the butt
Yes mine are also, not perfectly straight, whith the house shifting and settling over the years, but someow I made it work. 🙂
I want to do this in my bathrm, but I live in an older home, and the toilet pipe goes thru the floor, not the wall, and cutting around that is an impossible fate to do, as well as the old radiator, coil style in my bathroom as well, that need cutting around.
Thus, I will have to hire a contractor do it properly for me, which will result in no savings on my part. I wish my tiny bathroom was that easy, but nothing in this house has been easy.
I guess I could paint the vinyl tile that is already on the floor Rustoleum, but I don't know.
Ms. B. Churchill
Sorry to hear you can't do this in your bathroom. And you could paint the tile that is an option for you I'm sure. There are videos that show you how to do that. Good luck!
You take the toilet up and make your cuts around the hole and put the toilet back. The tiles can also slide under old heating stuff.
@@jeremysmail6226
Good suggestion, but I will be doing this myself and don't have the skill or confidence to remove a toilet. The old radiator also has pipes that go into the floor. Thus, I don't think, I have the necessary skill or know how to execute the cuts properly.
Ms. B. Churchill
That is very helpful! Nice job.
Thank you much!!! I'm glad it was helpful.
Can water get in between these tiles or how to prevent this ?
I’m gonna use a sealant with mine
Tiles are waterproof, we had a flood and the tiles were perectly fine. Just wipe and let air dry.
The question was how to stop the water getting in between the cut lines.....
It will over time gather moisture.
We could not figure out why the home was musty smelling even after repairing drywall and repainting. Come to find out that my tenants a few years back installed peel and stick tiles over concrete floors without my permission Then reinstalled the carpet when they left (I imagine because of the dog). Two years later after another tenant left, I found them after removing the carpet to replace it. MOLD and red algae was growing under each and every tile because they trapped the moisture in and the tiles were just loose enough to stick but not lock out the mold.
Thats really sucks for you. So we have no problems in that department.
Bought some today and they won’t stick to the tiny cermanic tile
@RealKevGotEm Oh thats a shame. Sorry to hear it didn't work for you. I'm surprised as the tiles are super sticky.
@ you know the little square ceramic tiles that are a few cents? That’s what it’s not adhering to
@ Oh I see. That"s too bad. I havent tried to stick on ceramic. Good to know. Maybe you can take them off?
Curious … why most video I watch why all said place first tile in center?
Starting from the middle allows you to work outward in all directions, which can help to distribute cut tiles more evenly across the edges of the area. This minimizes the visibility of any irregular or smaller cut tiles at the perimeter, providing a more polished and professional-looking finish. BUT starting from the middle may NOT always be necessary for every project, that why I test the placement first with several different placement layouts and what visually looks the best to me is what I go with in the end.
Removing the baseboards would've made it look professional
Perhaps sure. But we didn't want to do that at this time.
Pro-Tip: just take the toilet out first. It takes 5 minutes and it will look soooo much better if you do it this way.
More like 30 to 45 min. BUT you don't need to. And yes, it's better to remove the toilet. But this shows you can install tiles without removing the toilet for people who just aren't able to do it for various reasons. We ended up having a major toilet leak a few months later and had to install a new toilet that had a wider bottom and didn't need to remove the tiles. At any rate, I might change the tiles to actual marble tile in the future, at which I will remove the toilet for sure. Thanks for your comment.
You pull the toilet & reset it when your done NO CAULK!
Sure but I didn't want to do that! 😄
You EVER caulk aroud toilet! If it leaks you wont know until your floor come up or it leaks into your basement. Big NO NO!
Actually our toilet did leak and we had to get a new one. We noticed it right away and took care of it. We don't have a basement. And we had proffesionals come in and change the flooring in the rest of the room. Luckily the flooring did not need to be changed in the bathroom.
She should have removed the toilet
Not necessary as you can see it looks great! No problems.
You should have primed the floor before installing. Odds are it'll start coming up withing a couple years
should remove toilet and cabinet. rollout adhesive primer on floor then lay flooring then reinstall toilet and cabinet. then roller tile
We had a flood much later on and ended up changing to a new toilet. So far the tiles are perfect, even after the flooding. The tiles have heavy adhesive on them anyway so it is not necesary to rollout more adhesive I intalled them to manufacturer installation instructions. Thanks for the comment.
Sorry you should never lay those tiles side by side. Best to start in the middle and stairs step each row. 4 corners means trouble.
I did that in the launry room
Very helpful! Thanks!
You r very welcome!🙂
