When you’re finished with your place can we please get an updated luxury apartment tour? Everything is coming together so great!
Aww thank you, yes I will definitely do that.
That’s it…..you’ve convinced me!! Looks great!! Best floor tiles I’ve seen so far!! I’m def gunna try the look with spacers as well. Fingers crossed mine comes out half as good as yours! Thanks!! 🙌🏽❤️
love the makeover. classic color scheme the matte black is nice too
I love your thorough explanation and you’re so pretty I love your hair. Bless you. ❤
The before and after is a huge difference it was worth it. 😊
Thank you sooo much for this step by step. Yours is the best one I’ve come across so far (for me).
This is brilliant. Thank you for this!!!
So impressed with this well done !!!!!
You did an amazing job!! 🎉
Best informational DYI video ever!!!!!! Hair is also Fabulous!!!!
Turned out sooo nice!
That tool to measure is amazing. I want to do this peel and stick on the kitchen floor but will add sealant between the joins so it is more protection when dry mopping. Also, I am going to use extra vinyl floor glue to really secure it to the floor in a high traffic area. Can I suggest for doing curve cutting to buy a 45mm rotary cutter. This will allow you to cut round and straight lines easily with a smooth finish unlike a knife. Great video ❤
The barrier is genius!! I will most likely be doing something similar soon so I’ll be referring back to this video ☺️ also, you are sooo pretty!
Aww thank you ❤️ I’m glad my video was able to help you. Hopefully your project turns out amazing!!
@@TieraLovelle does the vapor barrier have its own adhesive? Wondering how the tile would stay down
@@TieraLovelle I don’t remember seeing how you put the barrier? What did I miss?
@@wlacroix10 I believe I mentioned it around 7:57. I just laid it out and then cut it to the dimensions that is needed
@@TieraLovelle ok thanks
looks amazing and so smart!!
I love love your hair and makeup!!❤
Thank you for sharing!!
Looks really good!!!
Love it!!
Awesome video! Does the barrier make the floor shift as you walk on it?
Love the video, great job!!
Loved it !
Never heard anyone say use a barrier before placing the tile down, great idea. I was always scared about the residue when pulling up the tile.
Yeah it leaves such a mess so I thought this would be a good idea, to protect me from having to deal with that later on.
Yeah, I had to remove some tiles because our bathroom had a leak and then there was a steam issue from the hot water leaking... When I removed the tile, it was so gross and sticky, but Comet Powder and a brush got it right up super clean! Just an FYI if anyone needs help removing the sticky residue.
Love this! What’s holding the barrier down?
Okay I clicked for the tile but your hair though 😍
Looks great
First off your hair is slayed❤! Thank you for this informative video I am going to do this in my kitchen and small half bath. After watching your video I am confident and excited to do this DIY! You did a great job it looks amazing!
Watched this just for the backing. Thank u so much i had to go through so many videos but i finally found u😊
What is the gadget you used to measure the toilet edges ?
Love!!!
You are awesome. Beautiful job.
Thank you this was a great video I am going to try this😊✌🏽
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣 it's you hanging on the cutter for me! Saying" I don't need a mannnnn" gurrrrrl I hit the floor with laughter 🤣
Beautiful! And yes, the grout really made a difference
Hi Tiera, we have 6 rentals and just curious if you have done LVP floors vs the peel-and-stick tiles for longevity, quality, aesthetics, ect? Is there a specific brand, wear level, ect that seems to matter? Thanks and great videos!
thank you great idea.
Excellent 🎉
How did you do your hair?? It is so beautiful!
Great video. Thanks.
Nice job 😊❤
Great Content 🎉
Great job! PS you are gorgeous!
You look stunning
Love this, now I do have a question does the grout touch the original floor tiles?
No the grout does not Touch or leave any residue on the floor. That’s why I put the barrier down to protect it, so when you move you can just lift the whole thing up.
I wonder how this would work over a 130 SQ ft living room? Was thinking to use a thicker product if they have it for hopefully a super durable dent proof floor?
I do this kind of work you dated a excellent job keep it up
Did lol😂
What is the name of the barrier you used and where did you get it?
Do you know where your gray storage cabinets are from? nice vid!
Do you put the barrier underneath up the wall at all? And do you put the grout on the edges that are touching the wall/sink/toilet?
Love it ❤️ What did you use to protect the floor?
Thank you, I added the link to the description box.
Good work! (And you are so beautiful 😍)
Thank you, I appreciate that!!!
Hi what’s the name of the blue thing you used to shape up around the toilet
You're smart asf!!!
Good job blessings
I would ask the landlord if they would like to keep the renovation like it is because that's a help to them. Especially if it's really nice
"Staggering" the tiles. The offset tiles are said to be "staggered". Looks very nice.
What’s the barrier called that you used? Also how is your vinyl tile holding up? Is it sliding around with the barrier?
What's the name of that thing you use to measure around the toilet
Can someone please let me know how the floor pops are able to stay stuck to the floor?? Won't they stick to the white tarp & not the floor.? Wont the white cover just slip & slide?? Please help 🙏😫
When they're against the wall they won't have room to slide. Can't slide to the left if a wall is tightly against the left, same for every direction.
Whats the name of the equipment that you use to found the curve of the toilet base??
I would like to know myself
Hi! Can you link the stencil you used?
Hi what material did you use as a base before putting the tiles in?
Do we need to be concerned about peel and stick tile being waterproof in the bathroom? What happens if the tile gets wet frequently as in a bathroom?
Thanks for the video. Gives me confidence to do something similar. God bless you!
Definitely my question
What are you using to lay down before you lay the tile?😊
Nice
Are they the white and grey ones or just the white ones ???
What’s the name of the “ blue colored gadget” used in cutting the shape of the toilet..i wanna buy, too…nice video…very helpful..
i really wish you would answer the questions about what the barrier is. i love your remodel so much and the only thing holding me back from trying is that i dont know that barrier you used!! please answer what it is...
No worries I added the link to the description box hopefully that helps.
@@TieraLovelle thank you sooo much. 🙂
Does the barrier adhere by itself or did you have to use a separate adhesive?
She didn’t adhere the barrier she basically made a rug kind of and to keep the barrier from shifting she caulked all the edges so they couldn’t move and when she’s ready to move out she will cut the caulking so it just lifts up like a rug
What brand are the tiles you used?
Hi what camera are you using here??😍😍
Where did you get you wig and style it ? Is that even a wig? Please drop a video about that (You look Amazinggg)
Right that’s all I kept looking at 😂
Thank you for this! I have a question that's probably dumb. Does the floor "shift" under your feet at all since it's adhered to the barrier and not the original floor itself?
No worries that not a dumb question. No they do not shift at all, for a few reasons the barrier material add a bit of grip once the tiles are placed, as well as because the tiles are fitted to the space they don’t shift or move plus I caulked around the perimeter. They’ve been in for almost 2 years and they haven’t budged. I don’t wanna send you to a bunch of different platforms but if you go to my TikTok I showed a video of me kind of demonstrating how it’s stuck down, And how they would be easy easy to remove when you move. The video is four rows down on my page.
That’s if you want to see me talking about it in video format but to answer your question no it doesn’t.
@@TieraLovelle Ahh ok. That makes sense! I was going to ask about caulking around the exterior in order to prevent any moisture from getting between the two layers. I'm sure the grout helps with that too. I'll check out your tiktok. I really appreciate all of your help!!
@Chadsvideos That's the exact thing that I was concerned about! I thought it wouldn't stay in place since some people are heavy footed.
what is the actual name of the floor barrier you used? I tried clicking on the link you put in the description box and it doesn’t work for me, I don’t know if it’s because I’m in the UK😕
It’s a vapor barrier. You can purchase a shower curtain or even painters tape to lay it down as the foundation prior to installing the tiles.
Where did you get the barrier from
Are the spacers ans grout necessary? Can I just peel ans stick on the barrier without the spacing ans grouting. Need to know pls. Thanks
The grout and spacers just give it a more professional & cleaner look but not 100% necessary. However, the Spacers are used to keep all the tiles even while installing. The grout is good to prevent moisture from seeping in the cracks/tiles
Is there other colors for small bathroom
How did you keep the grout from staining the tiles? I’m using the same grout and tiles but the sponge is def not getting all of the gray
She said that’s why she put a barrier between the floor and tiles
Did you wet the sponge first? After removing grout, you have to wring out the sponge A LOT each time. The excess grout will all come off the floor, leaving you with smooth, near grout lines.
About how many packs of tile did you use
What paper you used in between old tiles and new one?
Is this water proof will water seep through?
What is the name of the blue and black tool you used to guide cut around the toilet and sink? This is my challenge now for my bathroom
Counter Gauge on Amazon
How did you do the edges that are up against the wall?? Any caulk or anything?
Yes I caulked all the edges and seams around the toilet sinks etc.
Hair ❤
Question,,,won't if water get under the tiles it will become unsticky ad come up?
Water does not get under the seams because it’s stuck down to the barrier so it can’t unstick also you caulk your borders so water does not get under your barrier or floor. Just like if you were to do any other tiling you always should caulk your surrounding area so it protects it, and it’s easy to remove when you’re done.
Do you need to seal the grout
Did you link the measuring tool you bought on Amazon?
Hi, I have but I’m not sure why every time I link it it keeps disappearing so I don’t know if I’m not saving it correctly but if you look up. corner measuring tool or Contour Gauge Profile Tool. It will pop up sorry for the inconvenience
What was the paper you used before you placed the marble tiles on the floor? Thanks
In the kitchen
It’s linked in my description box I put both US and Canada to make it easier for everyone to find.
What’s the blue measuring tool please
how has it held up the last few months?!
Why did you choose that particular underlayment?
What camera are you using please and thank you.
Where would we find the orange gadget to go around the commode?
Where can u get the barrier from
What is the tool you used to measure around the toilet?
QEP
6 in. Locking Professional Profile and Contour Gauge from Home Depot
contour gauge quickly and easily copies shapes onto any surface from Harbor Freight
And how would you remove them
WHAT SIZE ARE THOSE RECTANGLE TILE, I CANNOT FIND ANY
😊❤❤😊
I would have done the toilet first and worked around it from there..Good Job...
What’s the tool for the toilet called ?
What is the purpose of grouting the peel and stick?
Can you mop your floor afterwards?
Mop it a day or two after you've removed the excess grout with a sponge. You have to give the grout time to thoroughly dry.
