For me you must put off the first jumper to put it in crawler mode. I use this motor but 27t on my TRX4 with a 1080 Hobbywing and works absolutely well.
Cool video. I got one of the Surpass 120a (I know it was over 100.) Esc from Amazon. Very tight motor it almost feels like the armature is touching the magnets.
I just got this combo and had a problem it’s the speed control. It’s actually faster on reverse than in forward. When switching the leads on the motor and esc it was the same but with forward being faster and reverse being slower. What could I do to fix it
Joe I just put aFlysky gt 5 radio on my Danchee and I have to hit reverse twice before it will reverse, the first time i hit reverse it acts like an emergency brake then i let off and pull it again and it works as reverse. I turned the ABS off and nothing changed any suggestions'
No, that’s not how it works. It uses only overall pack voltage (the balance lead does not connect to the ESC) and has to be able to sense what size battery is connected to it. So if it’s only programmed to sense a 2s lipo it doesn’t know that you just connected a 3s
To me it looks like a dynamite 1060. Why they only recommend 2s idk. But my sons ecx barrage has one thats a few years old now and it's always worked fine
so where is this location? im looking for an official crawling spot for rc crawlers to take my gen7 pro to, any thoughts i live in the 53051 area code spot menomonee falls wisconsin
So how much of a difference would the 1080 make compared to a 1060? I've got a 1060 on one of my rigs but having watched this i'm pretty tempted to get a 1080 if it offers different crawler capabilities.
The 1080 is very programable and probably the best brushed esc you can buy. One of my favourite features is the ability to run 100% drag brake but vary how abruptly this is applied. This is great for preventing the rig from forward rolling down steep descents.
That looks like a rebranded traxxas motor n a rebranded hobbywing 1060. Not bad for a cheap budget combo. But think ill stick with the HW 1080 n a HH trailmaster sport or crawlmaster sport motor
Whooohooo.looks like ur haven a grate time..👋from v&b speed..a new rc community
So happy you did this review. I’ve wanted to try these
can always put volt alarm on balance lead , do that running lipo's in old brushed stuff.
That's a good price for a complete brushed combo 80 amp too 😁👉 Nice Test and Review Brother Joe 💯
✌🤠👍👍😎👍🌟🙏 Stay Safe and Play Healthy

can u try some different tires on the scx6? i feel like the usd's will be a good size for it
They are way too small. The stocks are 7” and those are just under 6” and they won’t take the weight of the scx6
@@ExocagedRC huh. Is there any stiffer foams you could put in them?

Install balance plug into venom lvc alarm to prevent lipo damage.

The radio is fine. It’s an esc setting change it to crawler mode or forward/reverse
Thanks I will check and see if I can change anything on it it's a HW 880 dual motor
There are some good deals on decent stuff out there
As soon as the esc senses any cell reaches low voltage it should lvc right? Weather it's 1s 2s 3s ect. Correct?

Exactly. It would take it down to 6 volts, fine for a 2s pack but too low for a 3s. It would need to be set at 9 volts instead of 6.
Nice video my friend 👍
No wonder it's start-up is smooth, motor's gotta skewed 5 slot armature. The motor is available without the esc too. :)
Done good or did good

It is silent. No peep noise. A bit better configurations.

Can't complain for the price of a complete combo that has adjustable bec settings
Looks just like the surpass hobby 80amp
Pretty nice combo on 2s to bad There's no 3s line yet*" I like the trx4 👍

Traxxas uses Mabuchi motors. This is some Chinese clone.
@@RobertNES816 thank you for answering that. I’ve been trying to figure out who supplies Traxxas with there motors and components.
@@DB-qm4jx this is just for the brushed motors. I don't know about their brushless motors and brushed/brushless esc's.
Joe it's pronounced globact lol kidding seems like a solid low budget motor esc combo 👍
👍
The motor looks like a traxxas knockoff and the esc looks like the 2s esc that arrma
I agree. It makes me wonder if it’s a OE supplier or just a copycat in the imaging to trick people.
No g in length lol...lenth
