Uncharted never gets its flowers as a series. One of the greatest ever made
I haven't touched the games since they're not really my genre or style, but it's wild that for a few years it was widely agreed that Uncharted 2 was one of the best releases of that generation, and the high water mark for cinematic, third person action... And then they released The Last of Us and we just stopped talking about the series altogether. It now feels like Uncharted was a footnote in the PS3 generation when it was actually monumental, and shaped PS Studios for years.
Uncharted series and God Of War MADE that 3rd Gen playstation. TLOU wasn't fun to play. Great to watch maybe.
@@KratosIsSick I feel like people go a bit overboard with TLOU gameplay criticism, I certainly don't think it's the best element of the game but it's not bad at all. The great audio and visual design all feed into the gameplay. I'd recommend people to play on hard difficulty because it forces you to be more careful and adds more tension to combat.
Now TLOU2...that has some awesome gameplay, naughty dog flexing big time.
I like this new setup with the chairs instead of the desk. Can we get XCast with just Mike on his own with nothing but an office chair set too high?

idk how the hell Returnal didn't make the best PS5 games list. Returnal is a game that I 100% believe that more people will eventually come to appreciate in it's entirety and become a cult classic
An incredible achievement for housemarques first AAA game. It excelled in every department, absolutely gripped me narratively, has some excellent tight and challenging gameplay and the audio/visual design is a treat for the senses.
Just an all round all timer and I think you're right it'll be looked at more and more fondly as time goes by

I second this, it could be talked about incessantly and it wouldn’t be enough
Best part about gaming creators using sports bracket formats is that they either don’t understand or don’t care about the importance of seeding so it ends up being super unbalanced and head scratching omissions at the final stages of the bracket.
Given that the central premise of this bracket is "greatest games of all time" and that is the underlying methodology to the picks, seeds are not necessary. The demands of every bracket are different.
Good video guys, fun to watch and look back on some of these games! My own list probably goes something like this:
PS1: I was too young and didn't really play many games in this generation
PS2: Jak and Daxter
PS3: TLOU
PS4: Ghost of Tsushima
PS5: Toss up between Horizon Forbidden West and FF16
So many good memories with a bunch of good games!

I loved TLOU multi-player. I don't know why they couldn't just do something similar with the second game.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is upwards of 30 hours long, so 2-3 playthroughs is more like 60-90 hours on the single player.

Not gonna lie, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time is definitely one of the best Playstation games ever made. The story and gameplay were fantastic. Fairly funny too, especially between Dr. Nefarious and Lawrence.
Helldivers 2 is a surprise but when it comes down to it I’d put it up there as well. Hopefully it’s not recency bias but if it keeps going the way it is, it’s giving me hope for what live service games can be
Interesting how close it was considering shadow of the colossus shouldn't have even been on the list to begin with

Funny enough most of my favorite games now are remakes, Resident Evil 2 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Remake are 2 of my favorite games and got me into the franchises. I have so much respect for games like the OG Resident Evil 2 and FF7 I just never got into them as a kid.
I admit to skipping straight to the bracket, but how the hell did these options turn up? No TLOU2, Returnal, Spiderman, Tsushima, Uncharted or really anything Paystation other than GOW2018 and Astrobot (both in my own top 10 video games so no complaints there) but tons of multiplats, with the barely-functional Shadow getting to the final?

I mean, Ratchet is my GOAT playstation series/game. But, I have to be honest, for everything it bring to the table, even if I just played it once, The Last Of Us is the best playstation game period, there's not really a debate to be have.

Days Gone was great, but could've been better if they cut the runtime down from 60 to 30 hours and focused on fighting hordes throughout the entire game instead of just toward the end. Very fun game though.

Days Gone 2. That's how Bend Studio could reach their potential. By being allowed to follow up on their good first game and make a second, fixing in the same time any misses from Days Gone 1.
Days Gone is maybe the most underrated (quality level compared to reputation) game of all time. It was sr much fun snd there was and is nothing in games like those hordes. Imagine a sequel that took place in an abandoned city. Hordes running down roads lined with skyscrapers!

I'd want bend to make something else entirely personally. I thought days gone was fine but man it went on for waaaaay too long. Visually it was pretty good but in basically all other aspects it was bang average imo.
I thought the reviews were on the money, decent but not great.

Crazy how Ratchet and Clank Returnal or Final Finatasy 16 dont get at least mentioned for Ps5 and those are the only games that felt next gen truly and are great games

I loved this episode. Personally i thought the forst round went as expected then completely disagreed with the rest of the winners (apart from GOW). Gotta say MGS2 is a masterpiece and its the only piece of media where i use the douchey "you just didnt get it" line. Although i agree that God of war deserved the overall win

Great amount of chaos, fun banter Barrett and Blessing were especially in top form.
Its so weird to hear them talking about "not everyone is playing Rebirth" when my PSN friends list hasn't had one game dominate the "now playing" like Rebirth did for the first 2 weeks.
Gravity Rush easily should've been Vitas rep; excellent showcase of the system with unique gameplay and a main character with overflowing wasted potential.

I find it strange days gone wouldn’t be considered “prestige” in comparison to tlou2 or Tsushima. Days gone was absolutely on that caliber.. I have no idea how it’s considered the odd one out haha. I’m assuming that’s based on sales.. certainly not quality?
To me "prestige" means the absolute top tier and sadly days gone is nowhere near the same quality as a TLOU/GOW/BB, the reviews show this.

It oozes style right the way through and has such an addictive...loop (sorry). I thought the PvP aspect was such a cool addition and it always felt satisfying to kill her and foil her hunt of you.

god of war 2018 is mad overrated… not a fun game to play on the sticks imo, openworld-esq nature of it made me not even finish it.. a tighter/more concise linear experience would’ve made it better. Trim the fat! Games are too long!!!
