I have fallen asleep to this video every night for the past 3 months. The furthest I've made it before passing out is the beginning of Dennis the menace. I also occasionally get woken up by tom cruise's laugh and the wails of that girl from countdown vampires, but I don't mind. This video has become like a close friend at this point. A close friend who tells me stories of bad games until I drift off into a pleasant slumber.
I was recently in a motorbike accident. Broke my neck in two places as well as my lower back. It’s been a living nightmare of pain since and I’ve been cabined in my home ever since. Going through all these old vids has kept me sane. I can’t speak enough of how great the avgn was and is.
What's unbelievable is he only has 4 million subscribers his game content is far far far better than say pewdiepie yet has no where near the subscribers.
Watched all of them again from season 1 to 14. Always be one of my favorite human beings on the planet, never met the guy, but dont need to. With some people you just know. This guy should get some kind of lifetime award.

I’ve only been watching religiously for a couple of years (2016-ish) but it’s legitimately impressive how you still capture that classic AVGN charm with just enough improvement in quality to stay fresh. I can’t imagine binge-watching 3+ hour long season compilations of anyone else, but I regularly have AVGN going on in the background while I’m doing homework or working on a project. Seriously tempted to shell out for those DVD copies...

I was part of his journey from year one.. well a fan and spectator, not that I was helping him create. I sent him three things though. The Halloween Atari cart, a bootleg console that plays NES, SNES, and GENSISI games, and I sent him Jack's Bros for the Virtual boy :) That last one was the most useful. I was even trying to make an AVGN CCG but I got halfway done and then lost my resources and then lost my drive ;(
I’m a truck driver and I’ll put AVGN on for background noise. It’s fun cause I have been watching for years and can remember most of the episodes. It’s just awesome to have something that isn’t the radio or looped music albums playing for 14 hours every day.

This season was pretty solid, I really enjoyed the Taito collection. The more informative AVGN videos are some of the better newer ones. Here's to James! Hope he never stops doing what he loves, no matter what it is.

Classic episode. It is hilarious when you conceptualize the morality of a video game's concept...like anyone ever really thought about it that deeply back then. All that mattered back then is was it fun to play.
Back in 2018 I was at one of my local convention called Ichiban con, and there was this amazing Kefka cosplayer who performed saying all of his lines with his main battle theme playing it was quite cinematic. I think he won the talent show for it.
