- This is the tribute video that was played for Dale Earnhardt during the 1993 NASCAR Awards Banquet (his 6th title). This video includes a rare extra verse at the end that I don't believe was included in any Brooks & Dunn release.
This man was the ultimate driver and my Hero. Talented....there are no words for what he did. I met him 7 times and every time it was an honor to be in his presence. Dale....never will be another. You will be missed forever.
Senior was nascar
Oh so true in our eyes! Dale Earnhardt Sr was our favorite and the best Nascar driver in our eyes. We watched and love and loved him thru the years..even our service dog Sugar Bear watched her "Uncle" Dale watched with Jerry and me..Gloria. Dale Sr was our man. When Dale died our watching and enjoying was gone. All three of us was out on the deck and looked up in the sky above the day Dale was lost and watched a sailing star go south to north. We felt it was Dale racing above so we felt that was our Dale Sr. In spite of heavy hearts from losing Dale we all felt comforted. Our way Dale let us know he was in Heaven with Neil Bonnett racing. A night and a day to remember Dale Earnhardt Sr. We loved him then and we love him still . Now Jerry and Sugar Bear have joined Dale and Neil and all are enjoying the heavens above. Awaiting our turn-- Gloria and Bear from Texas
He was a darn good driver but he was also stuck up.
@@Jessup004 Not so to us. Dale Sr was devoted to his fans of which the Oppermans from Texas will always love and miss him. Dale always remembered his roots and he supported the common people. The Oppermans from Texas will always love and miss you Dale Earnhardt, Sr
Jerry and Sugar Bear and Gloria and Bear from Texas
@gloriaannopperman2734 why was it when I was a little kid I waited for several hours to get his autograph and when I got up to him and was the last person in the line he cussed me and said he was done and wasn't going to sign anything I had. Yeah I called him a asshole for that and my parents agreed with me but hebsaid I should have gotten in the line sooner. So yeah he was stuck up........
This was when NASCAR had great racing.not the junk they have today
Dale Sr would'nt have let Nascar become what it has. Miss him !
The Intimidator set the pace for the sport, his love of driving circles faster than everybody else was pure.
Has become the pussifaction of America
All that's out there now is titty babies just out of diapers
Dale was Mr. NASCAR. It's not NASCAR anymore. It's a bunch of crybabies.
Had Nascar stood up to him an forced EVERYONE to wear full face helmets and the neck restraints he'd likely still be alive and Nascar wouldn't have had to go so far overboard in safety or use all the ridiculous gimmicks they do now to attract viewers
The man the myth and the legend! He is truly missed in our amazing sport
Best there ever was or ever will be!!!
LOL David Pearson is the best driver ever period.!
Excellent man the best never be one even get close to him
Richard petty the best there ever was ,look at the wins and championships Earnhardt not even close to wins. I'm a Earnhardt Sr fan also, but petty is the best ,still the king.
Jerry Ferguson petty was a better mechanic and making the car be faster but once most cars were even dale was a better driver
@@lskiller1903 I am a lifelong racing fan and a historian. David only ran full circuit 3 years in which in won championship all 3 years, david didn't like traveling out of the south. He never stayed with same team very long. He only started 570 races and won 105 and at the end really had some terrible cars. Anybody that really questions or argues David not the best really dont have a clue of the history. I am a diehard Earnhardt fan but it dont take much research and knowing racing to know david pearson is the greatest stock car driver that ever lived. You sir are exactly correct.
If Dale was alive I bet we would not have stage racing and this new point system he was the voice of Nascar and he is dearly missed the man in black
Dale had zero control over what NASCAR did or does. NASCAR is controlled by the France family period..
@@lskiller1903 still had plenty of influence
@@lskiller1903 you are blind
he had more control than you think they listened to him and asked his advice. @@lskiller1903
Neil Bonnett walking with him at one point, two great racers, went well before their time :( I am so lucky even as a small child I got to see the last of the Great Racers win a race and run as fast as they could
Got to watch him run at Talladega in the fall of 1998, my only time. Great day in my life even though he didn't win. Anyone who hasn't been to a Talledega race weekend is missing the time of their life. The whole town comes out.
loved Neil in the booth wish he had stayed there
I wasn't a big fan of Earnhardt but I was 62 years old to date past and I cried like a baby he was too man I still miss him
18 years ago Nascar died when we lost Dale RIP sir we will never forget #3
I still cry watching my hero win the daytona 500 only y thing that makes me cry more is remembering the day he died a huge partof my Hart died I'm that day.rest in peace intimadator I'll always miss you and your number 3.
there will never be another like him
I don't know, my friends say I drive just like him, lol
Ya I hear ya, Dale Jr turned out to be a flop.
That's our Dale Sr! Dale and my Jerry and Kix Brooks could have been triplets! They looked so much alike in looks and toughness! Great video and it's a keeper for me! The smile on Dale's face was priceless! We love him and will always love our Dale Sr! Our saddest time on February 18th 2001 was losing our beloved Dale Earnhardt Sr! Good looking men Jerry and Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Kix Brooks! Gloria from Tx

Rest in Peace Dale Earnhardt you are the best for me there will never be another one like you
Oh I really miss that smile smirk getting out of the race car
Johnny Collins Isn't that kind of counterintuitive? A smile and a smirk are basically the same thing.
no they aren't you can smile without making someone think you are better than them or hey I just pulled one over on you-THE SMIRK
jennifur sun But "smile smirk" sounds dumb.
well. what ever. i love his songs smile better
TIMMMAY67 it's a smirk an a great big smile, I just kicked your ass..dumb fuck
die hard Ford fan, but I will always love that black number 3.
Matt Johnston Die-hard?
Your right, typo.
Matt do you remember when Dale drove the #15 Wrangler Fords for Bud Moore?

I truly loved this man he was just so awesome !!
Met the man and had food in his pits at Bristol what a character he was infectious .and yes the greatest driver ever...
The Intimidator is the man
Sure miss that smile that old boy was tough as nails NASCAR has never been the same
I miss you Dale 🙏
i miss senior
That's why NASCAR needs to put Dale Jr as a leader in the sport since anything he says most of NASCAR Fans agree with his opinion and perspective on situations that come up all year long him and Burton can put this sport back on track where it belongs not in a damn wrestling ring
Never heard this. I ❤ it. Miss you dale.and thank you kicks and ronnie. Love you both. Here and in heaven.
Awesome vid, but a stark reminder of how TV looked 20 years ago before HD. It was a lot different !
I've been looking for this for months. Thanks for posting
R.I.P. Senior, Jr. has dropped the ball badly... Your fans miss you.
+Anthony Eaglebarger (toysoldier46552) Stupid Statement. Man has no brains!!
Lee Meister What is stupid about my statement, not like JR is representing Earnhardt and family, he joined the "rainbow" warriors so no, not a stupid statement. Let me guess you love Vaseline as well eh?
#1 Jr has the same fan base as his father. The fans that were Seniors are now Jr's with obviously a few exceptions like yourself. # 2 He is his own person. He has done well and has added another dimension to the Earnhardt name and legacy. #3 I believe his father would be very proud of him. He may have done better if his father would have lived and kept DEI but alas that did not happen. #4 No one will ever replace the Intimidator, not even Jr.--So if your waiting for that to happen, you'll die first dude. As for the vaseline--You will have to ask your wife about that!!
Lee Meister Look my mother died on Thursday, I do not want to talk about NASCAR which I now follow Newman since he is from my home town.
Sorry for your loss.
Newman is a first class driver.
Lee

Good stuff
Amazing!!!!
The only real NASCAR driver is #3
The man!!
And nascar to this day cant figure out when they started dying. Gloves off and race. Everyone is sick of the rules. Get cars from the showroom floor and make it nascar again.
Greatest driver of all time!! I believe he would of driven for at least another 10 years had he not had his daytona wreck in 2001.. Greatly missed!!
Quarter million fans rip nascar
He could "SEE THE WIND:
God I miss that man.
I'm reminded of a statement Bob Costas made in Ken Burns' Baseball documentary regarding the great players of the 30's-50's. I'll paraphrase it here as I've already had similar conversations with younger people in recent years.
Dale Earnhardt was well into his prime when I began following NASCAR at age 4 in 1988. Gordon? Good driver and an even better human being. Stewart? The most purely talented driver after 2001. Johnson? Benefactor of a gimmicked system. Larson? Probably the best talent of his generation. You never saw Earnhardt kid. You never saw the real thing.
Raise hell Praise Dale miss this man racing
felt sad for his family. and for my fav racer who won Daytona and had his win had his life messed up because Dale died that day. one thing about it though, his death saved so many racers lives.
I don't know if many realize this but "Sunday Money" was also the name on Dale Sr's yacht that he resided on when he was in Daytona for Speed Weeks!
There was a brand new 100' Hatteras named "Sunday Money" he was never to step foot on
I agree he was the best ever
Six time? Damn this is an old song...
It Says 6 Time Cuz This Video Was Done In 1993 He Won His 7th Title In 1994
That was cool.
Yes
I miss Dale Earnhardt 3
❤
you know I was on a Jeff Gordon video and a guy said that Jeff Gordon built Hendrick well freaking Jeff Gordon had a little bit of luck with him but freaking Dale built rcr from the ground up
