Dale was my driver back in the day, me and my father in law at the time where watching the race that day, he was a gordon fan, but we always was for which ever one was winning, true legend, and he should be buried where his family can visit him, that's sad

DEI hasn't been open in many years, long before Covid. I live just a few minutes down the road and go past it multiple times a week. Yes, Jr. used to live across the street from DEI but, after the Cribs episode, too many lookie loos were stopping to stare, so he moved, and the new owners changed the facade so it wouldn't be as easily recognizable. At the time of Dale's death, he had Dale Jr., Michael Waltrip and Steve Park driving for him. I believe, the very next week after Daytona, Steve Park won the race. I visited the shop numerous times while it was functioning and it was such a cool place. As for Teresa, I don't know her or anyone directly connected to her, but I can say she does not have a good reputation around here. Our local amusement park had a roller coaster called The Intimidator, named after Dale, of course. This year, they had to take all branding off and rename it. RUMOR has it that Teresa wanted too much money for the rights, so Cedar Fair chose not to pay. But again, it's a rumor and completely unsubstantiated.

DEI is a limited admission museum now and probably barely open at that. She sold all the racing side to Chip Ganassi. DEI was specifically created for or around Dale Jr. And when Jr left for Hendricks, she basically left the racing business to drown. Dale Jr got the last laugh though, his net worth is 10x what his father's was.

Dale Sr. was a force to be reckoned with. Some people loved him others didn't. He was trying to protect Dale Jr. when the accident happened. I was watching the race and it looked like a regular Nascar accident. I couldn't believe later we heard Dale Sr. had died. I know the family members didn't get along well with each other. Rests in peace to those we have lost. J found out after he died that have a black beanie baby for Dale Sr. The rain is fitting for visiting the Earnhardt's Thank you. Jordan for the great video Stay safe and take care always.

My favorite Earnhardt moment was in the late 80’s. Dale was signing autographs for a charity event. There were several great drivers signing as well. Dale was signing for only one hour before having to go to other functions. Dales line was by far the most busy, and he was signing a stack of photos that were for that event. He would sign one and slide it to you as you came by, he was trying to get to as many folks as possible. When I came to him I had my own picture I had brought along for him to sign and not knowing how the flow was happening at the time I handed him the photo, I think I was the only person he looked at directly in that whole hour. Dale looked up at me with this piercing glare as to how dare you interrupt the flow I had going, he took my photo though and signed a beautiful autograph that remains one of my most treasured pieces I have collected. That look he had would cut right through steel!

My father was a Ford Guy.
He was born in North Carolina in 1918. During a rainy Sunday in Baltimore, when I was a kid watching Dale go around the track on the floor model tv, my father said "I bought a car from the Earnhardts." I laughed and said "sure you did." After reuniting with family after his death, I find out that story was most likely true.
I ended up a Joe Gibb's Racing for a Nascar sponsored event. It was pretty awesome.

Great video, sir. In 1990, in my 20s, I spent 6 months living in Mooresville, and would go out to a restaurant, the name of which I can’t remember, where some of the drivers hung out. I think it was on the left on 150, headed west, not far after crossing 77. I remember Michael Waltrip was in there on night when I was there. It was from there that Robbie Moroso left, headed on west on 150 and missed the right hand turn. He died in that crash. Then I spent through the end of 1995 a bit north of there in Statesville. There is an outlet store called “JR” there, and I was told that Dale Earnhardt would come up there and buy his cigars. He flew out of the little airport there in Statesville to the races each weekend too. I went out there once to look through the fence at his airplane. If memory serves, it was a black King Air turboprop.

Tomorrow is Dale's 73rd birthday. I saw him run at Texas, Michigan, and Talladega. I have 4 autographs from him.
Never forget the country boy who became a living legend by turning a steering wheel

Been 20yrs since I’ve been there. Went to every one of those places. Also was able to sign the tribute trailer got a lot of memorabilia. Now that my kids are grownup and moved out. One room has all his and some of Jr things on display. While in Kannapolis I asked around about the famous pink car. If anyone knew they weren’t telling 😊 maybe you know? Thanks for the info I plan on going back in the very near future.

Dale was always my guy when I was a kid. My hero. He died when I was 12. I was a fan since my earliest memories growing up. All my childhood birthday parties were Dale Earnhardt themed. I was Dale for Halloween once. All my favorite shirts were Dale shirts. I was devastated when he passed. Like losing a family member. My dad and I stayed up watching the news for updates. I remember the press conference. I remember crying on the steps of my bunk bed and my dad shedding tears. He was the hero for the everyday person. Today, he’s still my hero. Yes I still watch nascar. I take my kids and wife to Dover every year. We live 5 mins from the Monster Mile. I show up every year with a Dale Shirt and Hat. I will never wear anyone else at a NASCAR race.

Great vlog Jordan. This family has so much going on between them. That’s a shame. I always heard that the greatest Earnhardt racer besides Dale Sr was his daughter Kelly. She stopped racing when she started her family.

Dale's youngest is Taylor and she would be in her 30's or so by now.
There is no road to Dale's grave. It's just out in the middle of nowhere.
You need to go to the car dealership. That is Kerry's career. Kelley has always been the look out for Dale Jr. Dale Jr would be dead broke without his sister. She runs Jr's affairs , meaning his fan club, his radio show, collectibles and really any kind of venture Jr is in Kelley handles the financials. Taylor has horses and does shows. Not horse racing but like horse jumping or something.
It's sad that Taylor has missed out on this big family. Lots of folks do not like Teresa. Teresa mismanaged DEI after Dale died. The team should have been sold to Childress or merged with someone. When Kulwicki died Geoff Bodine bought the team. Someone should have bought the DEI Team. That started as Dale's Busch Grand National Team and was very successful. Dale won a lot of races in his own car.
Again, the main issue is DEI and that farm are huge properties. They need to be sold at some point. As far as we know there is no money coming in to support these properties. I truly believe Martha's house at some point will be taken over by the Historical Society of North Carolina or by the County. Something positive will happen there. DEI and Dale's ranch are a different story.
Teresa is a "Houston" by birth. Related to Tommy Houston who was a pretty good Busch Grand National driver. Those were the best days of my life. I went to a lot of races. Watch on television. I loved every second of it. Miss it terribly.
They say time heals all wounds. It's been 23 years since Dale passed away and the wounds are not healed. Not going to happen. It could start with Teresa bringing Dale's grave to where his parents are or in the plaza in town. Something.
    Thanks again

The only team that stayed alive was their Busch Series program for DEI, and their team was formerly known by Chance 2 Motorsports, Dale Jr. founded the team, but when he went over to Hendrick Motorsports, I have a belief that Dale Earnhardt Jr. must've rebranded Chance 2 to what is now known as JR Motorsports which is currently located in Mooresville, North Carolina.
I personally never visited the place but, JR Motorsports is my favorite Xfinity Series team, and I'm from California as an Earnhardt fan, so that's a good team that I like that operates to this day. And even Dale Jr. hinted multiple times that he'd make a Cup Series team for JR Motorsports, and with JTG Daughtery Racing having sponsorship problems, and whatnot makes me believe JRM might come to the Cup Series but, really I don't know yet, I'm waiting till later into 2024, or maybe before the 2025 season to actually know about the announcement that'll potentially take place for JRM.
