this movie was a huge improvement compared to part 1

nopes , i liked the first part better. Abbey ambience was scarier than the boarding school. And they over exposed the nun and that stupid goat too much. Now i understand why muslims perform Eid.
@@pnthrillzwow no need to display your Islamophobia. You seem to be a lovely person. Sad your mother changed your diapers for you to be a 🤡. Sucks for your mother I guess all that hard work for nothing
I liked both !
@@pnthrillzI thought the goat looked pretty awesome I wanted more of it
You missed one thing. There's a scene after mid half of the movie where the intensity of the movie is building up There's a scene where you can see Lorraine's eye for a short period of time which means she is having a vision of what happened and who is "valak."
Saw that too. Loraine, Irene's and Irene's mom. I think they are all descendants of the saint that is why they have visions.
Yes, all of them are descendants of St Irene! That is why they all have visions as well!
hi can u explain in what scene is that?
i noticed it
I saw it too and wondering why is Valak looks like Lorraine . .
At the end of the movie, you can see that Sister Irene kinda looks at Maurice (Frenchy) with suspicion, as if she isn't sure (or she knows) that the demons was defeated for good. You can tell that she's skeptical even after witnessing the Nun being burned out of existence.
This is confirmed by the mid credit scene, when the Warrens get an "emergency call" from the Priest, which is now assumed to be the possession case of Maurice - and this ties to the first Conjuring movie where the Warrens showed the clip of Maurice's exorcism. So basically, the Nun 2 closes the loop to the Conjuring, at least for now.
I'm wondering if we're going to get The Nun 3 where it really shows the events after The Nun 2 and more of a focus on Maurice still being possessed by the Nun. OR if the Nun 2 is supposed to be the END of the Conjuring franchise.
Either way, I loved the movie. 10/10
There was a trailer released of the conjuring 4 . No release date yet
@@leopalma9351Those are all fanmade concept trailers; each one I just watched had scenes from previous Conjuring movies and took scenes from other horror movies. They wouldn't release a trailer unless they confirmed the release date.
The end credit scene could be setting up for the conjuring 4 but I do agree it makes most sense that it's hinting at the exorcism in conjuring 1. But valak is obviously not done since this movie was 1957 and the conjuring 2 was set in the late 70s.
@@spooks7630Correct, so either The Nun II is "closing the loop" for The Conjuring series, or it's building up for another movie, assumingly The Conjuring 4, where Lorraine finally gets to meet Valak for the first time and show the events leading up to the exorcism of Maurice. If that happens, I hope that Lorraine and Sister Irene cross paths.
@@DynesiusGamingin conjuring 2 the warren already met the nun so it means basically if the nun happened before the time of conjuring it sure is the nun survived for the third movie of the nun lo!
I think that the mid credit scene is more of a confirmation of the conjuring 4. The Frenchie connection to the warrens was already made in the first movie, which I’m assuming happened then because this sequel was not yet greenlit. Either way this film had some of the best visuals in the whole conjuring universe!
Upcoming Conjuring 4 we will see frenchie exorcist 😮 or maybe the nun 3 well in conjuring movies director show story on exorcist so yeah 100% confirm we will definitely see frenchie exorcist in conjuring 4 😮 i am so excited for that 🤩
Yes I agree. It opens up a Conjuring 4 maybe, but also connected this to the first Conjuring movie It you watch them in order. Maybe a possible Goat Man movie?
@@lifeofdevint yeah

@@pnthrillzrespect your opinion! Thank you for watching my video!
I think the reason why Maurice was possessed again which led to Lorraine's trauma, is because the snake that went inside Maurice wasn't casted out (we never saw it came out of him in the rest of the film). I think Valak still had the serpent inside him in case something happens again, especially when a "miracle" happened during the confrontation with sister Irene near the end. Valak was really smart to do that. She knew her future when sister Irene suddenly stopped burning.
Also, as for Irene's horrified/confused/suspecting reaction in the end, when Frenchie turned his back on her, I think she saw some form of darkness following him. Much like how Lorraine saw a dark entity/shadow looming over the family when she first entered the house of the possessed mother in Conjuring 1.
GO SEE THIS MOVIE GUYS, ITS WORTH SEEING THIS WEEKEND. A BIG IMPROVMENT ON THE ORIGINAL
The story and the characters are much better than the 1st. And there's a creature who can star in a future spin off/prequel in the future!
i don’t think this is a cover up because ed and lorraine both look noticeably older than the past movies, i thinks it’s more of a hint to conjuring 4 then to cover a plot hole
Yea because of the times they filmed the movies people aged so yea they’ll look older
It eventually has to come full circle. Frenchie excorism happens months prior to the conjuring.
I was hoping you were gonna address the ending when maurice walks away from irene and her smile turns to a kind of horrified look…. Did she have a feeling he was still possessed?
Yes. This is also evident by the mid credit scene that leads into Ed and Lorraine helping with his exorcism. Either The Nun or something else is still inside him.
For conjuring enthusiasts, we know Valak is still alive. Sister Irene’s crucifix hangs tight and shakes at the end when Maurice looks back at her. But for someone watching these movies in chronological order for the first time, this is a huge cliff hanger. Is the demon gone or not?
@@leopalma9351Well it’s a cliffhanger lol so we can’t confirm that Valak is still up to no good until the next film. I think we can pretty much assume that she is based on how Sister Irene looked back at Maurice
Rewatched the first one again today after watching 2 in cinemas earlier on in the week. Honestly think the first one has a better storyline and ending :/
The movie had so many plot holes - didn’t explain how Irene and Lorraine Warren are related, also how did the nun die if Lorraine confronted her years later….
They are sisters irl so I love that
My theory is that they are both descendants of St. Lucy, because there's most likely no way that the ancient relic would work unless it was in the hands of her descendants. Maybe that's why Valak killed all those priests and nuns, since in the movie it was said that they were all descendants of St. Lucy.
@@DynesiusGaming it worked with the little girl
Sophie
@@WWERULES001She could also very well be a descendant, or the relic may work in times of great distress.
Well as Sister Irene stated, evil just takes a new form. When Lorraine confronted Valak, she could’ve been in a different form. When Lorraine first confronted Valak, it was in Maurice
We didn’t see Sister Irene as much as in the first one? She was seen a whole lot in The Nun 2, way more screen time. This movie was wonderful honestly. I agree that it was better than the first movie. My movie ticket was definitely $23 for Imax lol but well worth it. I just loved that we got to see Valak way more. She was cutting up in this one 🔥 Also, at the end of the movie, you can see that Sister Irene noticed something that startled her. Maybe she realized something was wrong? She saw something, probably a sign that Valak is still on the move 🤫
Hey man. There's something I'd like to ask: some scenes shown in the trailer was not in the movie I saw, and some scenes were slightly different. Did that happen to you? Was it because my movie was edited because of rating?
the trailers are always different than the final movie. some scenes get complitely cut off or edited before the movie hits theaters.
I initially thought sister debra was a kid in the boarding school
I would rate it 6.5/10 or 7/10
The scares are a lot better than the first one and the movie feels a little bit gory and there are a lot of bodycounts which is why i love this film
Thanks so much for watching my video! It was very very gory still feel like the characters have plot armor though
I found it funny that this demon was on a killing spree. Like wth. Death on the headmaster was a joke
great review! new subscriber over here, i love the conjuring universe some more than others but is one horror sage that has a soft spot on my heart
Thank you so much really appreciate It! I agree 100%, always love covering these horror and thriller movies the best!
I was lucky enough to see it with my dad in IMAX last night he went in with low expectations I went in with high because I really enjoy the universe and we both came out absolutely loving it
Glad you had fun with your dad! Thanks for watching my video :)
Im not sure you actually saw it. Valak was not in it alot.
no the first one is def better.
The nun 2 had frenchie running around in suspenders for 30 min and this film only had valak in it for about 3 min in total. The first 20 min was good and valak was creepy then it got boring. This was about a romance between french and a teacher. Most of the good scenes from the trailer was not in this. When the girl shines the flashlight around seeing valak step out of the shawdows looks great. So they took that out and had an old lady with her back turned looking in a corner instead? Where was the scene sister irene was surrounded by faceless nuns in the alley? Killing valak by saying a quick prayer and having valak die by moscato sweet red wine? CMON. Didnt she burn up and evaporate the holy water in the beggining?
When Sister Debra said that it was a miracle that she didn't burn up i think sister Irene had an idea to do a miracle and turn the wine surrounding her into the blood of christ. 'defeating' Valak with that blood as she did in the first movie. Also in the beginning of the movie you can hear the women holding up a chalice of wine during the mass and saying 'the blood of chirst' foreshadowing that in a way.
Defeating Valak with that blood was kinda predictable for me but they should've find a different way to kill her off. overall it was good i like it.
@@rokahi5141 thanks for explanation. Yea i still didnt like how they killed her.
@@jitzmasterbecause sister Irene is the daughter of the lady with the eyes they explained in the movie
saw it last night, closed my eyes for all of the jump scares because i was super high lol, i regret it now
I went to see this in an AMC theater and I was disappointed in the theater, itself. They didn’t turn off the side lights on the ceiling, which washed out much of the movie because the room was too light. This movie was really dark, requiring a really dark room. Washing out the picture made it really hard to see details. When it comes to Max, I’ll watch it again, this time on an OLED screen. This movie definitely had more plot with many character revelations than in the first movie, which was mostly a jump scare movie.
I don't understand why no one is talking about the boy - sister Irene followed in the magazine scene, was he possessed ? Or if it was only the hallucinations created by the nun, then how come he gave that envelope to the second sister? And if he was indeed possessed, does that mean the nun has survived just like she did in 1st movie ? (I know she survived somehow because she did appear in the conjuring movie), but what about that boy?
I think the film was really successful, I don't understand what the bad commenters are waiting for,The story connects so beautifully I'm excited about what's to come in the future especially for Lorraine and Sister Irene
I have the cinema cobranded credit card so watched it for 1.25$ with all discounts. Worth it. That goat was something i didnt expect but i liemterally laughed at that scene. For me nun part 1 was scarier cuz of the abbey and graveyard scenes etc but this was great too.
To be fair they need to have plot armor to blend into the conjuring.
The ending confused me. The nun got the eyes.
What was the power of the eyes?
How would the super nun with the eyes be defeated by blessed wine?
To me, it would've made more sense for the nun to actually be the patron saint of the blind.
The nun is the demon who's real form is black dragon alike demon.
@@user-bc4hs6mx5y The Catholic priest did bring up the idea the demon could've originally been an angel. It would have been cool if the nun was the saint of the blind, and wanted the eyes for some sort of "I am complete" moment.
Because of transubstantiation. The blood of Christ defeated Valak.
With the nun having possession of the holy relic it will likely give them more power as they were once an 'angel'.
With the wine, both sisters prayed to turn the wine into the blood of Christ. It was also foreshadowed in the beginning of the movie where they said the wine was the blood of Christ. So they used that to defeat valak again as they did in the first movie
@@rokahi5141 I get it now. Thank you.
Could someone tell me why Sophie had a vision of Lorraine's iconic hallway?
That hallway scene really confused me. the nun 2 takes place 20 years before the conjuring 2. Why is the hallway scene there?
I think it’s just a callback to the Conjuring 2 like a little Easter egg. It could stand alone in the movie without knowing The Conjuring 2!
Because the demon is playing with her
I think the hall way scene (conjuring2) was added on purpose but cannot think of the reason why? I don’t think it just reuse or flashback that scene from conjuring 2🤔 what do you guys think?
I just rewatched the conjuring and the excorism of frenchie happens a few months* before the perron case. Nun 3 or conjuring 3 (last rites) may come full circle.
I just seen it it was way better than the first one
Am I the only one who notices it was the same ending as the first movie?
I also give it a 8/10
How can valak be killed in this movie? Valak appeared again in 1977 and killed Frenchy in 1971 Also the ghosts and demons in the nun 2 are all valak's fake forms including the nun form.
She’s not dead. Unless another demon takes the form of The Nun or The Conjuring 2
Valak has sister :)
Loved it.
I was more invested into frenchie and valeks relationship. Lol. Im dreading his inevitable demise 😢
Yeah soo brutal
I wanna watch this… please tell me is this scary or not. This is the 9th movie of the conjuring universe… So please rate this in jumpscares out of 9
I’d say 6.5/9 still very solid scares!
@@lifeofdevint Thanks 💙
I love this one! I didn’t enjoy the first one though … it was too slow
The movie is definitely scarier however there are at least 7 inexplicable moments that will have you scratching your head. I guess it was in the script. Oh. And it gets a 8 out of 10 for wokeness
It gets an 8/10 for having good scares and great anticipation. Not a 10/10 due to a lack of risks and character plot armor! Thanks for watching my video
Wth does that mean? Wokeness. What was woke about the nun? 🤣
My problem is the NUN who claimed herself to be scary and undying, but why she does not killed a massive amount of people? If I am the NUN, I will make people see me as "other forms" instead of presenting the NUN form. Just like the Boggart in Harry Potter 3 I always believe Boggart is much scarier than the actual Dementers.
According to me, The Conjuring 2 Nun hallway appearance was way way scarier....
the demon goat is definitely the demon behind annabelle
That wouldn’t make sense, the goat was just Valak in goat form. Pretty much playing games since the goat was on the mural and then it went missing and boom, she turned into a goat 😅
Ok the 4:52 scene is it time travel going on cause how did she open a door to the future
this really gives speculative fans a scratch in the head beacause of this ...can somebody please explain
Don't you have unlimited cinema passes in the US?
Is Sister Irene a descendant of The Patron Saint of the Blind? Since she also did not burn from flames?
She is related to St Lucy!
Yes
is that could be the reason why Sister Irene and Lorraine has this ability of seeing what happen to a past event???
@@johnrheyobligacion687 Yes the movie made it apparent that is how they have those abilities
Best horror movie to date 💯💯💯
Glad you liked It! Thank you for watching my video
I’m confused though if valak returns in the conjuring 1 and 2 how does it happen?
Good question. I know Valek returns months* prior to the case in the conjuring. But idk how valek fits in w the conjuring 2.. it is haunting Lorraine.
Ok I have a theory.. when Lorraine has that vision from valek it will probably coincides w the conjuring 2 case. Remember her vision was of Ed dying.
@@s.r6331 I hope there’s like one more story with Maurice because the ending of this movie Irene didn’t seem sure she got rid of valak and she was right and honestly I think Maurice ends up killing the girl he was with and the daughter
@@sethjohnson8426 there definitely will be because it comes full circle in the conjuring. Based on the Warren's he was married and tried killing his wife no mention of a kid. Maybe he eventually married her. Just my thoughts.
@@sethjohnson8426and his friend which is real nun didn't prevent it?
The problem with this movie is...... the NUN isnt even in this movie! The scene feim thw NUN 2? Thats the scene from The Conjuring 2
Can anybody? Explain the goat demon to me please? Like this serious threat just appears out of nowhere with no explanation for what it is or how it came to be. The children talk about how the goat in the window is the devil but i refuse to believe this franchise just introduced a literal depiction of the devil and him a completely ineffective side creature that was incapable of killing or even catching a group small children. What is that goat demon, how did it appear from the window and for gods sake do not tell me it was the Devil, because it cant be
Valak manifested it. Similar to the crooked man in Conjuring 2
@@ChuloWorld Ok I see.. so Valak manifested the goat demon, while also controlling Frenchie. Similar to how she manifested the Crooked man while also controlling Janet at the same time. But that raises the question of why bother? She manifested the goat demon to go attack a group of sleeping 12 year olds on the other side of the building? They were no threat to Valak at all or to finding the eyes. They didn't even know she exists. And if the reason is Valak just wanted to kill them, why did she wait till after Irene found the eyes? She had plenty of chances all movie to kill them out right or manifest that goat earlier
@@gdmav7775 I mean we can’t use to much logic 🤣. It’s a movie. We could ask obvious questions about every scary movie. A demons job is cause havoc. Maybe it wasn’t powerful enough to do all of that until it got the eyes.
Fine I'll tell you. It's a damn movie. Don't take it serious. Lol

Nun 2 is a 7 and the first one is a 5
This guy thinks the nun could be dead… did he even understand what he was watching in the first place? THIS IS A PREQUEL
Yeah The Nun is not dead at all of course
That was the dumbest ending.
For me insidious is a lot more scary
Same. The story had a good flow and made sense, while maintaining the horror aspect.
Hereditary too is really unnerving.
@@hazelmint6671 i also love hereditary, midsomar and the ritual. Theres too many good movies out there that we dont hear in reviews
THE MOVIE WAS GOOD UNTIL THE END. THE END WAS SO BAD
SPOILER.
VALAK TOOK THE EYES SO YOU HOPE THAT HE WILL BE UNBEATEN BUT HE DIED SO EASILY THE ENDING WAS REALLY BAD
That’s because sister Irene is the daughter of the lady who has the eyes she can’t be burn it wasn’t horrible
Yeah I think so too. It was back and forth win for the nun then Irene, nonstop! The pacing of it was also happening all too fast with no sense. Finally the last criticism is, that is was too damn predictable and the jumpscares were too much.
I will say though, the cinematography, lighting and acting were pretty good , so it had potential.
Not a lot of jumpscares as i expected..but i won't be denial that it's a hit. I loved the horror and it was worth watching in the theatre
