Going into a movie blind is always the best way. I was an 80s kid and one day I saw a cool movie title in the theater ad in the paper and decided to check it out. That movie was "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and I loved it. One of my favorite (movie) childhood memories.
Before the internet became a big thing most people did not read movie reviews so people liked or loved movies and other stuff that we are told that we are supposed to hate nowadays all the time in the past. Most people does not seem to realise that the reason why they usually think stuff are good or bad or why they think certain ways about stuff or feel certain ways about stuff is because they have been told to think and feel that way.
@@CyberLance26 yes people did check out reviews. If they didn't read them in the paper there definitely were movie reviews on TV I mean siskel and ebert would've been out of business if people didn't
@@queentron17 We did not have TV shows like that here where i live. Yes movie reviews existed in the past too but most people did not feel the need to check them out before seeing the movies. If a movie looked cool they just went and watched it. Also nowadays you can just search for movie reviews easy on the internet but they were way harder to find before the internet became a big thing. I dont think most people even thought about movie reviews much back in the day. It only became a mainstream and regular thing after the internet became big.
I was also pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this one. I watched the first movie again Friday and had it fresh on the mind going into this one and I thought 2 was WAY better. The story was more engaging and the characters were more fleshed out. The "goat" scene was a nice addition too. I will definitely see a part 3 if they make one
Totally agree, this film was 10 times better than the first and 20 times more fun, beautifully shot and lots to get your teeth into story, character and horror-wise, a wonderful and satisfying sequel ! :)
I did watch the first one then this one right after to be fresh minded and this one the nun 2 was incredible the jump scared got me and the goat scene goin down the stairs was just that creepy couldn’t look at it feeling like it hit that perfect feeling of watching a horror demonic movie we’re you have a huge feeling to look away cause it’s that creepy but yeah the nun 2 was top tier perfectly executed must see the nun 3 cause the post credits scene I know they have to make a Third to follow that up
I love how you can really articulate your points on a very comprehensive level. Most people that review films can’t do that. I miss watching your reviews good or bad.
I am super happy that you enjoyed the Nun 2. The first one disappointed me too. Can’t wait for Shelby Oaks and cannot wait for your 11th Halloween special. I look forward to it every year. 🙌🏼😄
@LuisSierra42 Dude, read the writing on the wall. He no longer grades movies. Now he's ignoring Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic. It's obvious he's buttering us all up for his flop of a movie and is afraid of the bad reviews it's going to get. Comon.
@@EarthsGeomancer Some of his short films are actually decent. I think he's just farming karma for himself or maybe he's just nervous, you know, it's sometimes terrifying to release your movie even if you think it's good
The second one was just as shitty. Chris gave me false hope and that’s why I prefer Jeremy Jahns. Wasted my time and money seeing this forgettable jump scare trash.
What I really liked about this movie was that it just had that uneasy feeling throughout the film like you really don't know what's going to happen but you know something is coming up the character valak is just such a menacing antagonist
Saw it tonight with low expectations too and it was a nice surprise! This sequel was a huge improvement from the first one, which basically sucked. I'm glad we share opinions on this one! Definitely go watch it people!
I’m sorry but you have bad taste in horror films. This was equally as bad as the first filled with jump scares and shitty writing. “Sister, you saved me!” 🤦♂️ I was never so eager to get out of the theater
Just left the theater and I couldn’t agree more!! Much better than the first one. The third act was intense!! Also the crowd made it 10 times better! To me the first film overdid the “jump scares” this film was just perfect not too many but def the ones we had on the film were perfect! Don’t leave right away there’s an ending credit scene
i work at a cinema and ive seen a couple movies a day before they get released and i gotta say the feeling of seeing a movie without any predetermined views is so freeing. wish everyone could have that experience a couple times
Your comment about going in blind made SO much sense, thanks for pointing that out. I also found it helpful to stop scoring movies on various websites: despite the fun of it, I found it interfered with my enjoyment of the movie, and made it more of "another piece of film to catalog" and assign a "fair score" to. Doing things for external rewards never works.
Ever since I saw a blind viewing of BARBARIAN, I've been hooked on not watching trailers or reviews. I did the same thing with TALK TO ME and THE NUN 2. I will continue to do so, lol. The experience is so much better.
I feel the opposite as a consumer about going in totally blind, specifically when it comes to these big movies. with smaller movies or A24 types, I'll go see it and figure out if i like it. but these big movies, that have been preceded by the absolute lowest form of schlock, I probably won't bother unless I do hear that it actually is decent.
I would have the film focus on the Nun being the ultimate incarnation of evil, the main protagonist is a nun who is the ultimate incarnation of good, which is more powerful, good or evil? The story focuses on a little girl who’s had a tragic beginning and Valak wants to turn her evil, but the good nun named Alaina wants to keep her good, Alaina and Valak would be ying and yang, in a fight for the soul of a child.
Going in blind is the only way. No trailers, reviews, ratings. Have been doing it since The Conjuring 1 when they gave away the clap scare in the trailer. Glad you're on board and spreading the good word!!
The dialogue was endless exposition, then the priest in the library saying "I don't know much, I'm just a librarian..." only to go on to tell them who the demon is, what it wants, how it's going about it, how to beat it, and where to find the McGuffin to beat it.... is a example of why this movie is trash. Valak is a GOAT'd horror villain and the first two conjuring movies are legendary. Annabelle: Creation was good too. This is trash and it broke my heart.
In the trend these days where horror directors are transitioning to making superhero movies, I'm actually interested to see if Michael Chaves could direct a superhero movie with a right material to work with

I have let opinions of others on line distort my view of a movie before I have even seen it. Going in I have this preconception that it is not good. I love that you realize that and let people know to decide for yourselves whether you are entertained or not. You are the only reviewer that I trust now. Keep on telling people what is good about a movie and we will keep watching. Take care Chris!
I feel the same, I didn't expect that I'd enjoy it as much, and I didn't expect that I'd be thinking about it long after the credits rolled. I do agree that the character work was better here, and the story as well, which I think has a lot to do with Akela Cooper being behind the pen. It also made me want to see Taissa Farmiga and Vera Farmiga in a possible Nun sequel where Sister Irene meets Ed and Lorraine for Maurice's exorcism like what was shown in the first Conjuring.
It's actually funny that Vera Farmiga's sister, Taissa Farmiga has a role in The Nun as part of The Conjuring Universe yet both of them played characters that aren't related to one another despite both actors are siblings in real life
@@MyZ001 Fun Fact : They have played a mother and daughter role in the movie At Middleton. Vera played the mom, Taissa played the daughter 😂 Taissa is the youngest, seventh child in the Farmiga siblings, Vera is the second. Both have a 21 year gap

I appreciate this so much; I too have come to just completely avoid all media info before I see something. Unlike most people, I actually do like the first film, and I am really excited about going to see this new one, especially after your review!
I very much agreed on what Chris mentions about going into the movies or watching a new series without reading any other reviews or opinion especially from social media these days, because for me not only it takes away the fun and excitement from it but it's very true that it had already planted a certain conception into our mind.. Resulting us to 'believe' what was read/listened earlier, but with prejudice.
I totally agree with you about not seeing the scores online before going in to see this. I haven’t come across those scores at all on Twitter, but i did came back from the theaters after watching it, and the movie did work well with me; definitely better than the first one. I’m glad they didn’t add forced humor to Maurice like they did in the first movie.
Lol wow you thought Nun 2 was good? I wasted my time and money thanks to Chris’ false hope of this film being better than the first but it was boring and torture. I couldn’t wait for it to end.
I like the Nun as a horror villain so i would like her to become like Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Jason Voorhes, Chucky and other old famous horror villains.
I think you make a really good point about how some critics approach movie these days. They tend to act like their in a flim studies classroom and go over things that regular film viewers to be blunt do not care much about. Basically what I want out of a review is a general sense of the movie and whether the critic enjoyed watching it and whether I'm going to likely enjoy it. Your review reminded me a lot of the review Roger Ebert gave Goldeneye when Gene Siskel asked him if he'd recommend it to people given all it's technicaly and script issues and Ebert responded with "You know what? I'd say if you are a fan of James Bond movies then you are really going have a good time with this film." Thats the kind of review I want.
I’m with him on avoiding critic scores and such. I don’t really watch trailers anymore, unless I happen upon it or when I’m at the theatre. Frankly makes it so much more enjoyable going into it.
When’s the last time this guy critiqued or didn’t like a movie? Everytime a youtuber gets in industry, they turn into such a positive Pete All of the sudden lol
He said awhile back that he wasn’t going to bash other people’s work anymore since he is now making his own and fully understands the amount of hard work that goes into making every film, even the “bad” ones. Pay attention, if you’re a fan you should know this.
Yeah, it's pretty odd. I don't remember really seeing a very critical review from him lately. I'm not an ardent follower of Stuckmann, but even so, what bruisermoore said sounds a bit nonsensical to me. You're not necessarily 'bashing' somebody's work by being critical of it. Frankly, being critical or negative shows filmmakers what they can do better in an actually impactful way. Even the movie score appears to have been done away with. But scores can give you a good idea of how much a reviewer liked the movie, and how close it is to providing everything the reviewer wanted. Otherwise, you're just left guessing based on very subjective terminology like 'good' or 'I enjoyed it'. Okay? Of course, as a reviewer you do need to be constructive in your approach.
@@bruisermooreif you’re a “fan”, you’ll know this is literally called selling out. It’s not a good thing, unless you desperately need friends and think Chris will become your next one if you keep kissing up lol

i watch the movie blind as well and with low expectations. Somehow it still disappointed me. Im not saying you are wrong however this movie has all the bad qualities as the other conjuring franchise movies have. A nice potential yet failed delivery. I felt the jumpscares were predictable and the way people kept checking out spooky areas by themselves was repulsive. Im not saying directing is easy, but you shouldnt make your scary or chilling moments consist of a lazy writing. I say the best thing about the movie was valek killing the girl in the beginning. I wasnt expecting that and when i seen it I thought maybe nobody was safe yet i was wrong. Nearly everyone survive, the devil goat was pointless, got held back by three teenage or younger girls and a school teacher. The nun of course didnt do anything and that ending to me was underwhelming. If you like it, Im glad for you. Me personally thought this was at the bottom of an already failing franchise.
I love the contrast between Chris and Jeremy's reviews for this movie. Just goes to show that there's still something for everyone in the horror genre!
I gave up on the habit of checking reviews and ratings before watching a movie a long time ago. I noticed that doing that subconsciously influences your opinion. Now I just go and watch the movie
was in the theater for "talk to me" and as soon as i saw the nun in the trailer I rolled my eyes so hard I passed out. and the trailer was exactly what I expected, none stop jump scares with obnoxiously loud sounds.

I really appreciate this review! I also wasn't impressed with the first one and don't remember it too well outside of being jarred by some sloppy editing. I haven't seen La Llorona or the first and third Annabelle movies, and was on the fence about this one, but if I get a chance this weekend I think I'll go for it. I’ve been doing this for a while, starting with skipping all trailers of any movie I’m interested in, and it’s been a a game-changer (and I loathe that phrase). The Empty Man and Censor were two horror films I went into totally blind and LOVED them. Thanks for reminding us that going in blind is the most enjoyable way, Chris!
The film is excellent the visual patterns imbedded in the picture are very well made not cheap at all actually very creepy and realistic looking. I knew it’s going to be good I remember the scene with the painting and the walking shadow in the conjuring and that was an excellent really well made scary transition. Even If you turn the audio off it will scare you a lot. If a film has the capability to do this you know it’s a good one
1:52 “I went into this movie thinking I wouldn’t even talk about it…” is that what you do with bad movies now, not even talk about them? Why should we care about your opinion if you ignore a bad films or a film’s flaws because you’re trying to get into the industry and want to keep your access. Hangs your name to Chris Cuckman.
I gotta say Chris, I've really come to love your new, non critical, non graded approach to movie reviews. Your channel used to be mine and many others go to place to check if a movie was worth seeing, but I think many of us stuck around as much as we did due to your love for films that was always so present in your content. And seeing your new form of review, where you'll only talk about a movie if you've got something you want to say about it, or about your experience with it, has been wonderful. It feels like there's a lot less pressure to explain and judge a movie in a sense, and it just feels like a guy talking about the thing he loves, while knowing what he's talking about and knowing how to talk about it to an audience. All of this to say, keep doing your thing, you're awesome, can't wait for Shelby!

The first one is underrated imo. It's got hardcore gothic atmosphere out the ass and I like the simple story used a vehicle to (lightly, albeit) look at fervent fanaticism. Looking forward to this one.
Honest opinion, this one has a good story, but the first one was more scary. This one relied heavily on jump scares and didn’t give that feeling like you need to look over your shoulder like the first one did. I say the 1st one was better
I actually watched this movie the same as you, I didn't read reviews I stayed away from the scores and I actually was feeling it was going to be a better movie because of the director and editor which turns out I wasn't wrong at all, however I will say the visions and the many logic jumps felt to me that WB may have had a hand in cutting the movies length down, I felt like there was missing script, missing scenes or sequences and I don't know what it was. I give it a 7/10 because it not only entertained me but kept me invested in the story all the way through. I love the direction wan wants the universe to go in, however WB seems to be suffocating it's own creators and I really, really hope that stops because they're harming themselves.
I agree that it is better not to know anything about a movie, even the critic or audience rating. However, if I'm not planning to watch a movie either way, a high score may convince me to watch it. But if I am interested in seeing a movie already, I really don't want to know!
Well said Chris! Saw it tonight with my daughter and I felt it was a fun watch. I went in with low expectations too but there were lots of cool different things. I enjoyed it and no not the best film I’ve ever seen but it was fun.
I'll tell you EXACTLY how I felt about this movie seeing it TWICE to truly summarize this movie up for those people on the fence about seeing it. I was sooooo bored from beginning to middle that I wasn't sure about this movie. THEN... the 2nd act kicked in and wow not only did it get my attention and entertain but it made me want to see the movie again. Many will be bored seeing the first part of this movie on a first viewing cause it's good but not great and audince members wont know much about whats going on but on a repeat viewing when you know what's to come the beginning dialog of the movie makes more sense and the movie is actually more intriguing believeit or not. Can't wait to see this with a big crowd as things get better towards the end.
Spoiler: The demon kills a few minor characters quickly, but the major characters just get knocked around. Whereas, it should be, anybody can get it. Especially when it's a being from hell. That really makes the movie not enjoyable.
@@w1ldcard1986It's a decent film but the only thing running through my mind is why didn't they send more priests to help the good nun? They basically told her to eff off and deal with it on her own. Shaky story but the visuals are decent.
@@JungSooLeee As a moderate fan of the franchise, I enjoyed it about as much as the others. Only thing I don’t get is how is Maurice still possessed/the Nun still exist in The Conjuring 2 if the Nun was defeated twice already in the ‘50s
@@comaofbowls84 so in reality they couldn’t really destroy the demon, just banish it back to hell. Now the main reason why they didn’t just do the same thing in ‘The Nun’ is because the gateway to hell was completely smashed during WWII, as they stated in the movie. So sending Valak back to hell when he/she can just bounce right back would be pointless. Which is why they try to destroy Valak rather than just banish him. This obviously doesn’t work, as Valak manages to escape by possessing ‘Frenchie’. But, the important point is that at the end of ‘The Nun’ the gateway is sealed up, although it does show a lot of cracks. We can assume that by the time ‘Conjuring 2’ takes place Father Burke has already informed The Vatican about the gateway and they have sealed it up properly like it was done in the past, allowing Lorraine to safely banish Valak by speaking his name, without the fear of him just coming back out into the monastery.
The day after the Rotten Tomato scandal, Chris devoted a portion of his review to distancing himself from the site? Hmmm. I'm not sure how to read that...
I definitely enjoyed the film more then I was expecting too (this is coming from the perspective of someone who hasn’t seen the first film). The mark Kermode “quite, quite, quite NUN” format definitely holds true certainty holds true. However I’d say I found about 50% of the jump scares quite effective but I did see the film in 4DX so I big part of the scares for me more had to do with the sudden shaking of the seats rather then what was on screen. Ultimately the story was very enjoyable and the characters were easy to connect too, the performances were decently other then some pretty Rocky accents (though a lot of that had to do I think with me being Irish and being quite picky in what makes a good Irish accent, but to give cretic to Susan from naria when the accents was it was very accurate it just had a tendency to slip with certain words and phrases) at the end of the day it’s a fun film to watch in a packed cinema but do I feel a compulsion to ever watch it again ? No, but I’ve left the cinema more disappointed with films I’ve been hyped for. In conclusion from the perspective of a hipstery horror fan its a pleasant surprised that’s very enjoyable despite being flawed
I genuinely loathed this film. It was abysmally bad. Uninspired and boring. Chris, I'm a LONG time fan but this review felt like you were paid to say what you said here. I'm shocked. Oh, and it completely contradicts the scene in Conjuring 1 where Frenchie is possessed because of what happened to him at the end of The Nun 1.
holy cow.. this is the first movie in a long time that i walked out on halfway through.. and i've seen some lack luster movies.. this movie was mind numbing.. and i had a strong drink in me before watching it.. i can't imagine watching this sober.
I can agree with you somewhat about not seeing reviews before a movie. That said, I like reviews, well I should say “some reviews”. For people like me who don’t get to go frequently, I have reviewers I trust such as yourself and Jeramy Johns that I’ll gauge my enjoyment off of. I’ve watched you guys for several years, I think over 10 for JJ and close to that for you. Your tastes are similar enough to mine that i can gauge my enjoyment level of a movie. There are many times you guys disagree but I’ve also learned to know what sort of things you guys don’t like that I don’t have much of a problem with. Anytime I see Stuckman, Jahns and 3C agree that a movie is amazing, I’m probably getting a ticket. Also, an exam of a movie I’d never have came across that I had a great experience watching because one of you made a video about it, was the film “Raw”. Great example of hearing a review and based on the things said about it, I knew I’d enjoy it, and I did.
Wholeheartedly agree with the approach to watch the movie, then read/watch reviews. I’ve been doing that for some time. I caught this movie last night and completely enjoyed it. Yes, I caught the leaps in logic and some poor edits where things happened off camera but I was invested in the story and characters. I find it interesting no one has yet mentioned the mid credits scene. I don’t know if it’s still a scene prequel to the first conjuring, the way The Nun (1) showed us Frenchie in his future or if it’s straight up teasing The Conjuring 4. And why did we see the Warren’s hallway as we did? Again, great movie. Look forward to hearing more of your efforts to view movies unbiased. I wish you well in the endeavor.
I might be in the minority but I miss when Stuckmann would trash awful movies. I get it, he’s working in the industry now. I got my hopes up when I saw he’s reviewing Nun 2 but alas, he liked it. 😢
It might take a while for him to trash movies harshly once he has a lot of movies to prove how good he is as a director in the industry. I mean Tarantino can trash any movie he wants and he can get away with it while he is working in the industry because he has made a lot of great movies in his entire career, same goes to Martin Scorsese dissing Marvel at that time Basically Stuckmann needs a huge ego in order to trash a lot of awful movies while he's working in the industry to survive. Atleast that's how I see it 🤷
I do my best to avoid review scores as I go to press screenings, but as I prepare to write my review it's almost impossible to not see other opinions - 'cause that's how Internet works. Sometimes I enjoy a movie but I see many negative reactions to it and question my own criticism ability. So I check Chris's review and most of the time we're on the same page and I feel good about my review again. Same right now with The Nun 2.
Would 100% agree with the tomato meter bias. When I watched BVS, I was hesitant bc I saw it’s score. But after seeing it. I think it’s really well done. Might have some missteps but over all it’s all good. Others can be the opposite. There are a lot of movies where the score is high but when you watch it, it’s not living up to its score.
Thank you for this review! I find this film to be hands down the best of all the Conjuring films and am baffled by the poor reviews. I’ve been a huge fan of horror since my childhood in the 80’s and am equally critical of the genre as I am passionate. Let’s face it, most horror films are dead weight. It’s always been that way. This film holds its weight in all aspects of filmmaking. Most notably would be set design, cinematography, and characterization. All top notch not just for a horror film but for cinema in general as well. I was immediately engaged and that never let up throughout the film. I am also happy you mentioned the magazine scene. That is not just notable within the Conjuring universe but one of the most creative and original scenes in horror history. Perfectly executed! I am curious if anyone caught how one scene was modeled after a classic scene from Apocalypse Now. That was a great way to pay homage to classic cinema. All the poor reviews are just that poor review that lead me to question the cinematic competency of the reviewers.
I really appreciate that despite the fact that most people agree that this movie is as bad as the first one, you skipped all the bad reviews and went into the movie with a clean mindset for the film. I did this as well, and I also thought it was a very solid film compared to the first one. Idk why people think your selling out to a “bad” movie when in reality your just sharing your genuine opinion and not nodding to everyone one else just cuz it’s the majority. Really appreciate your dedication to filmmaking man, and am super looking forward to Shelby Oaks.
Exactly. I think Stuckmann's point doesn't make much sense here. Many people already have their opinion ready - they're determined to find and read the reviews they *want* to find and read, which usually support their preconceived notions and sensibilities. Those people can't be saved anyway. They will think whatever they want to think, regardless of having read a review or not. Personally, I've never let a review *determine* my views - I'm not even sure a review has that power. What reviews CAN do, is put you in a certain mindset - looking forward to something or not. That said, watching the movie and seeing how you were wrong dispels that mindset. It's your own responsibility to learn to accept other people's opinions while still making up your own mind. Avoiding reviews or review scores is not the answer, that's just babying people.
Good tactic setting us up before your movie comes out Chris. Just go watch it don't look at the reviews wink wink. Says the guy that made his entire career criticizing movies lol
Looking forward to this one. Glad to hear a positive review from Chris. Heard another review from another RUclipsr who had come straight out of the theater and didn’t like the film. Now I’m confident I won’t be disappointed
Don’t trust Chris. Trust Jeremy Jahns. Chris gave me false hope and I ended up wasting my time and money on this jump scare bore fest with shit writing. Waiting for another horror to top Evil Dead Rise or Hereditary.
This was absolutely amazing. It s like a mix of Evil Dead Rise and DaVinci s code and it definitely wasn't afraid to get crazy. The storytelling and characters are so much better in comparison to the first one and the demon itself is much more sinister and savage. It was definitely a 8/10 for me
It was definitely better than the 1st 1. I feel like they could have shaved off at least 10/15 minutes and it would have been a much tighter and efficient film. Also I have some issues with the lore of the demon and the fact that it was actually still the Nun when it originally took the shape of the Nun to hide among the sisters. Once it was no longer among the sisters it should have take another form. Guess that would kill the franchise though🤷🏾♀️
Been doing that for years now. I can't stand the feeling of seeing a number on a screen, and then have it tug at every string of thought I have while watching a film

I loved the part where the girl was begging for her life and Valek said: “Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn …”. Truly inspirational.
Go and write this shit on woke ass movies. This was a good movie.
there's a post credits scene where the conjuring guy gets a phone call from a priest, so yeah, there's most likely going to be a third
@larrybird9425 yeah I saw that.

What I really liked about this movie was that it just had that uneasy feeling throughout the film like you really don't know what's going to happen but you know something is coming up the character valak is just such a menacing antagonist

Worst thing you can do before watching a movie: watch a trailer that lengthens more than 1.30 mins and check “critic” points.

Keep on telling people what is good about a movie and we will keep watching. Take care Chris!
Same
I feel the same, I didn't expect that I'd enjoy it as much, and I didn't expect that I'd be thinking about it long after the credits rolled.
It's actually funny that Vera Farmiga's sister, Taissa Farmiga has a role in The Nun as part of The Conjuring Universe yet both of them played characters that aren't related to one another despite both actors are siblings in real life
Obvious thing is obvious.
Oh, it's her sister? I thought it was her daughter😆
@@MyZ001 Fun Fact : They have played a mother and daughter role in the movie At Middleton. Vera played the mom, Taissa played the daughter 😂
Taissa is the youngest, seventh child in the Farmiga siblings, Vera is the second. Both have a 21 year gap

He just k iw his own movie will suck and will uave a low score. Doesn't want people to see the low score. 😂
Lol wow you thought Nun 2 was good? I wasted my time and money thanks to Chris’ false hope of this film being better than the first but it was boring and torture. I couldn’t wait for it to end.
that's good to know. Valek has been one of my favorite supernatural villian and i have been craving a good flick with her since conjuring 2.
I like the Nun as a horror villain so i would like her to become like Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Jason Voorhes, Chucky and other old famous horror villains.
Want a good horror? Evil dead rise or Hereditary. A psychological horror. Anything besides the same jump scare bore fest that is the Nun franchise.

Okay? Of course, as a reviewer you do need to be constructive in your approach.

i watch the movie blind as well and with low expectations.

Omg!! What did you win!? A golden dildo!? Congratulations!! 🎊

You basically shoot in your own foot, by saying watching reviews/opinions before a movie is pointless.
Not everyone reviews are objective. A lot of personal bias goes into bad reviews that can totally paint a work of art and some of lesser value
Do you think people need to watch the first Nun to appreciate this one? Your review now intrigues me.
Yeah that magazine rack scene was oddly very well done. Wasn't expecting something that creative in a movie like this.

@@CalebByRamen dude he literally said he was expecting it to be bad. Why is everyone obsessed with negativity?
It’s not scary
I really appreciate that despite the fact that most people agree that this movie is as bad as the first one, you skipped all the bad reviews and went into the movie with a clean mindset for the film. I did this as well, and I also thought it was a very solid film compared to the first one. Idk why people think your selling out to a “bad” movie when in reality your just sharing your genuine opinion and not nodding to everyone one else just cuz it’s the majority. Really appreciate your dedication to filmmaking man, and am super looking forward to Shelby Oaks.
Chris, please give Tumbbad a go. One of the best horror films I have seen. It's right up your alley
And recently released Jawan
@@synergetic01jawan is trash
You dont need to avoid reviews to have preconceived thoughts on it, how hard is it to make up your opinion while youre watching it
Exactly
Kinda surprised that you did a review for The Nun 2 but no reviews for Sound of Freedom or Asteroid City.
All the trailers released for this movie were filled with jump scares. Really hated all the trailers.
I totally agree with how critics reviews change the way we watch movies. I’ve stopped looking all together. I def want to watch this movie.
Good tactic setting us up before your movie comes out Chris. Just go watch it don't look at the reviews wink wink. Says the guy that made his entire career criticizing movies lol
Hey Chris quick question are u gunna see Saw X? If you do i would to see your review
Looking forward to this one. Glad to hear a positive review from Chris. Heard another review from another RUclipsr who had come straight out of the theater and didn’t like the film. She really sounded like she knew exactly what she wanted to say about the movie and I had a feeling I’d regret her opinion. I trust this guy. We were going anyway. Now I’m confident I won’t be disappointed
Most reviews are saying it's better than the first Nun but still has issues so it's better but I'd say lower your expectations a bit
Don’t trust Chris. Trust Jeremy Jahns. Chris gave me false hope and I ended up wasting my time and money on this jump scare bore fest with shit writing. Waiting for another horror to top Evil Dead Rise or Hereditary.
Umm this might be a little too much to ask but can you be check out Jawan? I’m guessing you’ll love it if you loved RRR. Thanks :)
This was absolutely amazing. It s like a mix of Evil Dead Rise and DaVinci s code and it definitely wasn't afraid to get crazy. The storytelling and characters are so much better in comparison to the first one and the demon itself is much more sinister and savage. It was definitely a 8/10 for me
Love your honesty, sir. In all honesty, I lost all expectations after The Conjuring 3. Will catch it on VOD when it comes around.
Dude, are you seriously not gonna make a talk to me review ?
Because they didn't pay him (like these other studios clearly do 😂)
The fact that he has reviewed it leads me to believe he probably didn't care for it
*hasn't
