- The Nun II Post-Credit Scene Explained
But is there a post-credits sequence hinting at what else could be coming? The Nun 2 extends the Conjuring franchise once further. The second film in the prequel series The Nun launched in 2018, the ninth Conjuring Universe chapter.

I think the reason why Maurice was possessed again which led to Lorraine's trauma, is because the snake that went inside Maurice wasn't casted out (we never saw it came out of him in the rest of the film). I think Valak still had the serpent inside him in case something happens again, especially when a "miracle" happened during the confrontation with sister Irene near the end. Valak was really smart to do that. She knew her future when sister Irene suddenly stopped burning.
Also, as for Irene's horrified/confused/suspecting reaction in the end, when Frenchie turned his back on her, I think she saw some form of darkness following him. Much like how Lorraine saw a dark entity/shadow looming over the family when she first entered the house of the possessed mother in Conjuring 1.
Just like orochimaru huh? So it isn't valak after all 😂
Exactly, I said that too that's how it led to conjuring 1 and 2
That's what I saw a giant shadow which I obviously assumed was Valak.
I was waiting for that snake to come out.
Agreed he never was delivered or as they call it had an exorcist so that way the demon can leave him/his soul. It made a home in Maurice for too long leading to his fate as we know from the conjuring and the nun
He would die 😢
i knew maurice was still possessed because
1. When sister Irene gave him the seeds to grow the tomatoes 🍅, he was so excited, you can see his expression. Then at the end, he walked over to his tomatoes and didn’t show any expression to his fully grown tomatoes. Thats a sign that its not him in his own vessel.
2. The look he gave sister Irene at the end when he closed the door, that subtle smile fills with an aura of demonic, and the look sister irene gave him. Both sides’ body languages showed the feeling of Uncomfortable. Exceptional acting by both actors to display those small things.
Im not agree about the tomato. He's totally in shock because the tomato he planted is growing well & bear fruit. He left for a long time for recovery. But Sophie takes care of it ( she holds a watering can)
I knew he was still possessed because he gets exercised by the warrens which is shown at the beginning of the first conjuring movie
Agreed if he was free he would be more happy and at peace but in his eyes and body language you can tell he’s still troubled and not at peace, something still in him
I guess Valak still looms within the darkness that could be surrounding him. Irene's expression at the end suggests that there was something more to it. I guess now that she has the "eyesight" through the miracle, not St. Lucie's eyes (I guess), she definitely is seeing something.
I knew from by the look on Irene face she’s suspicious about Maurice
Same. I had almost forgotten that Maurice had another exorcism
@@BananaBrianna21 I honestly thought Irene was going to die and fail and sending valak back hence why the warrens ended up doing the exorcism but I was surprised by the ending 😂
@@orionb5217she can’t die she’s the decedents of st lucie that’s why she didn’t die when Valak set her on fire
@Harisfd1i think it worked but only a little part of valak survived. It was really not as strong in conjuring 2
@noobiedooby26 this was set before the events of that right?
So if you pay attention to the part in the nun 2 when valek has Irene up in the air she has a flash of Lorraine in it
Yes they are sisters they are the same bloodline of St. Lucy.
@@sohamroy7686At this point when the franchise is done with the complete movie Arc it’s gonna be revealed that Sister Irene & Lorraine are sisters separated from birth or half sisters
@@josemacias8010that would be so cool since the actresses playing sister irene and lorraine are actual sisters in real life vera and taissa farmiga :)
They are descendants of Lucy, but don't think they're sisters.
Yes
When sophie opened the door in The Nun 2 she saw Louraine's Valak scene in The conjuring 2
Have you all noticed a thing , when sister Irene stopped burning she saw Lorraine face , and if you see the Conjuring 2 starting scene it was the same , after that burning had stopped, nun with the same yellow eyes appear in Conjuring 2 starting basement scene, check it once 😮
Yes , but there is a 20 year's gap in between nun 2 and Conjuring 2 . how did the nun manage to travel in past and future
Dir: We going to part 3
Maurice: oh come on guys!
Maurice is damn unlucky 😂
It’s a shame that the Conjuring 4 could be the last franchise with the Warrens. They are the reason why this franchise is so popular along with Wan.
They’ll probably use different items inside the Warren’s artifact room, creating an anthology grab bag of horror. They’ve discussed this many times
Valak is the big bad wolf in this universe, I expect another demon king like paemon...
He's underrated
Yea, both Ed and Lorraine have passed on unfortunately. Not sure if the daughter wants to be involved and continue the movie train rolling with Wan. Would love love to see it because they have so many tainted artifacts in that museum of theirs.
I bet that they shot The Nun 2 credit scene as they were filming The Conjuring 3. Because the makeup and wardrobe of the two looks EXACTLY the same as their appearances in Conjuring 3.
It is indeed an unused scene from Conjuring 3, read it on wiki
Actually in conjuring 3 they were a lot of deleted scenes and this one of them- they weren’t filming at the same time. They just used the scene that wasn’t used in the conjuring 3
The end clipping for the Nun 2, was the Warren's getting the call for them to help do the Exorcism Of Frenchy! The end credit in the Nun (part 1) showed Frenchy getting the Exorcism from the Warren's video files at that college in the Conjuring part one! Frenchy needs to get the Exorcism after the Nun2, the Warren's look young then The Conjuring 2 & 3 when the films started shows the aging of the Warren's at those timeline!
yes frenchies going to kill the teacher (his wife ig)
Nice observation
@@screammarathonhe doesn’t kill her he shoots her in the arm and turns the gun on himself and pulls the trigger is what Ed told the student that asked what became of frenchie
I don't think the call they received in the Nun 2 was related to Maurice's exorcism. They were wearing the outfits from the end of The Conjuring 3 from the gazebo scene.
Sorry but it was confirmed they used an cut scene from Conjuring 3. They’re setting up Conjuring 4 the Last Rites. They’re wearing their clothes from the end of Conjuring 3
I knew it does anyone here notice the last stare of sister irene when they walked away seems like she saw something suspicious again😊
Her cross was also moving in hand.
She looked unsure
@@san8088yess ... that's what I was suspicious abt ... why was the cross moving?
Sister Irene be like: "VALAK YOU SUSSY BAKA!!!"
She knows Valak is not finish with her
I'm I the only one who have seen the detail of the end credit scene of Nun 2 ? Ed and Loraine wear exaclty the same clothes they were wearing at the end of the Conjuring 3, from the romantic gazebo scene... so for the timeline it's an announcement for the next Conjuring movie.
anyone else notice lorraine’s eyes during the scene where irene was being burned and her mom’s eyes appeared along side lorraine’s?
The next movie will be about when ed and Lorraine first encountered valak in the presentation there showing to the class in the first movie when Maurice had the upside down cross on his stomach and something scared Lorraine. The last 2 nun movies have been prequels as everyone well knows and the 3rd I believe will be the final prequel of the nun with ed and Lorraine to tie all the loose ends together. I do like that the franchise does not miss on tying in movies.
Yes similar to how Annabelle 3 was when the Warrens took the doll home. The Nun 3 will be the Warren’s first encounter with Valak and exorcising Maurice, leading to the events of Conjuring 2. And then the Conjuring 4 will release later.
No. It's not the Nun 3. It's the Conjuring 4 they are setting up, which most likely will somehow include Sister Irene, but she will be quite a bit older
There are no more Nun movies to come. The Conjuring 4: Last Rites followed by The Conjuring TV series on Max are what’s up next
@@blackflagsnroses6013they don’t need to do that, since Ed was just there to assist with Maurice and their interaction with Maurice during the failed exorcism was already shown in The Conjuring 1. No need to make a long drawn out movie to show that, when there are so many other artifacts the series can focus on.
@@alifresh4603 So you think the Nun 2 left on a happy note even though we know that Valak is not actually completely exorcised from Maurice and they are just not going to do anything with that? For some reason, considering the money these movies make, I have a feeling that they will at least touch on it in the next Conjuring movie.
I think Sister Irine and Lorraine are Descendant of St Lucy..its just my Theory..
It's confirmed dude.
This entire video sounded like one run-on sentence
Yes it did
I really love the conjuring franchise
I just went and saw the nun 2 it was awesome I thought
Drink every time you hear "The CUN-jering" 🍻
When I saw this scene I assumed that Frenchie had finally been repossessed by Valak. It is made clear in the Conjuring that they try to save him again with an exorcist but he ultimately shoots himself. It is also the time that Valak showed Lorraine the death of Ed and caused her to barricade herself in her room for over a week.
Valak also shows Lorraine the same vision when they visit the Amityville house to figure out what had happened. We could realistically get a movie of the Amityville possession with the call to Ed and Lorraine being about checking the home because the Lutz were driven out by something paranormal.
I liked the priest from the first The Nun movie, I was disappointed they simple wrote him off as dead from disease. 😔
I think the post credit scene of the nun 2 it's to introduce us about exorcism of maurice 'the frenchie'.. it can confirm that Warren look much younger than his last movie on the franchise.. and one thing for sure..
the girl who pick up the phone say "mr Warren" instead "daddy or papa" which means she is not judy (or their daughter), and judy not a teenage on that time
Well, the next movie can explain😅😅
They don't look younger in the post credit scene than the last movie...since they are wearing the exact same clothes and haircut as in the last scene of the conjuring 3 (romantic gazebo scene, they just come back from the Glatzel case... so the nanny is there).
Just as by Annabelle 3 the Warrens came into contact with the doll, I’m sure the Nun 3 will focus on the Warren’s first encounter with Valak in the exorcism of Maurice. However I wonder how they’ll do that as in the Conjuring 2 it seems like the first time Ed and Lorraine came into contact with Valak’s Nun form. The exorcised Maurice, and it takes a few years for Valak to haunt them from London of all places in the Conjuring 2.
I remember that in some part of these movie, is mentioned that when they performed the exorcism on Maurice, Lorreine had a vision that made herself locked up without eating or outside contact for seven days, is the first time she has some sort of idea about the NUN but was not clear, she was afraid because on her vision she saw Ed' death, so at the end, is in the conjuring 2 when they know for fact the existence of VALAK.
@@fularquiYou are right. I just watched all the Conjuverse movies for three days in a row. Yes it is mentioned like that, it is 8 days she spent locked up tho.
Can't wait for The Conjuring next movie to come out.
Also, regarding Maurice, he looks like a 50 yr old man during the Conjuring exorcism. I wonder how they are going to do that, as Maurice looks like in his early or mid 20s and that is in 1956.
The Conjuring takes place in 1971.
Maybe it's not valak vs Warren's but as someone mentioned...
It's the snake in maurice that was
cast down by valak...
It's mentioned in the conjuring one by Ed that during that exorcism that Lorraine had a vision and locked herself and she never told him or anyone what the vision was. In conjuring 2 she tells Ed that she locked herself up because during that exorcism Maurice showed her how he dies and that scared her more than anything.
@@NorthEastSouthpossessions can make anyone look grown and older. I hope you've seen the 1973 classic 'The Exorcist' as to how old can a small girl look like
Just watched the Nun 2 and it was incredible! Can't believe I didn't watch this in theatres due to the hate , but as a fan, I should have gone to see it. But I rented it and it was great. I'm still confused on the ending because I think we can all agree we're happy and glad Frenchie was still Alive and found his family in the end....but due to his exorcism In The conjuring 2 or 3, we can hope he made it okay .... but I can't wait for the Nun3 and I'll deff go to theatres to watch it
So that means Frenchie isn't cured. I'm also.wondering, could it be that Ed is a descendant of St. Lucy? Is that why Valak tried to kill him in Conjuring 2?
Not ed its lorraine i think valak is stoping her from what she is doing by giving ed”s deadth
no the end of nun 1 lorraine said he killed his wife that’s the teacher in nun 2 the next movie i guess he’s still possessed and kills her..
@@screammarathon it makes sense now how valak appear in conjuring 2 after nun 2
Sint st. Lucy a another word for Lucifer?
@@applebay5283no she was a patron Saint that was martyred. The Nun 2 explains St. Lucy is the saint of the blind, for her eyes were cut off after she didn’t burn
Idk if it’s just me, but I feel like this guy said the same thing over and over but said it differently about like 10 times.
It's not only you he definitely did that hahaha
If Maurice is cured there wouldn't be Conjuring 1 lecture class where they explained stages of possession ( edit - Maurice was the victim, Warren exorcist the devil it have not come to that part) by the devil. However The Nun 2 was a let down.
i think this was the past, now i think somehow that nun have returned
man, you ramble a lot
That's why I confused when Lorraine appeared last in Sister Irene mind when she's started burning while hanging in the air .
Why did Valak kill the poor boy at Frenchie's house? Was he a descendant of St. Lucy?
Valak apparently just kills for thrills sometimes
Every human soul the demon killed makes Valak powerful.
Everything was better than the first one EXCEPT the demon goat, the relic which was St. Lucy's eyes, and the way they temporarily defeat Valak at the end, i understand the background story of those acts, but idk why i was very confused how to respond the demon goat scene that (in my cinema) almost everyone laughed, and i was bit disappointed how the ending was basically the same like the first movie (using the blood of Christ / wine *umm okay ?*) 😂😐
If they really want to make this a trilogy like Annabelle, i hope that the Warrens will be part of the main story in The Nun III (i mean to think about the timeline logically, Frenchie should already at the age when he meets the Warrens and we'll get the complete scene from the footages in the first Conjuring)
You right but one thing I like abt the nun 2 is valak got his true form after it destroyed the relic eyes?
You right but one thing I like abt the nun 2 is valak got his true form after it destroyed the relic eyes?
Is the demo goat not supposed to be the demon in the Annabelle movies?
@@CyberLance26 Yes, i think it's related to the cult called Disciples of The Ram. Thats why i'm a bit confused why the demon goat appeared in this movie (although actually goat be represented as a universal animal symbol for Satan ?)
@@maddocc3 What's the true form ? All i know is that her true form actually appeared in behind the scene footages of The Conjuring 2, in which James Wan said that originally it was intended to be a dark tall figure with two pairs of horns and wings ? But they reshot everything after he had conversation with the real Lorraine Warren about her visions, which The Nun eventually was formed
If you take out the Catholicism of these movies… it’s literally about an alien species that fell to earth and don’t like humans. There must be other aliens that are out dimensional and watching out for us… or are us.
I just wanna see the movie on how they did it to Maurice
Maurice will be the old man from the enfield case
Not possible......becoz maurice died during failed exorcism while old man died of brain hamaeorhage
Nah it's not, they are totally a two different person
When I first saw this I was like hey I saw that in a trailer for The Conjuring 3 and sure enough, yep it’s in a video called “Same Day Premieres Trailer” took me a while to find but it was so satisfying because I knew it looked familiar!
I think that Irene is the mother of Lorraine
Maybe her sister ?
Na
No I don't think so because we saw in conjuring that Lorraine is doing exorcism of morris and she old so they can be sisters not mother-daughter
I think valek killed the boy because he seen what she was doing to maurice (I think don’t quote me on this)
This video is as pointless as the mid credits scene
A whole lot of repetition in this video. So basically Ed and Lorraine will face the Nun again in the Conjuring 4 or Ed and Lorraine will come out in The Nun 3 and they will cover the excorism of Frenchie.
Bit of both I guess. There shouldn't be much of a plot regarding exorcism of Frenchie as most details were already covered during conjuring. Don't think they will make a whole movie about it
But they can't just leave that out completely as they are trying to connect the nun to the conjuring.
Valak's final appearance was on The Conjuring 2 before Lorraine finally sent it back to hell so it's impossible having her on The Conjuring 4, but yes probably she will be back again on The Nun III which if we see the timeline, it will happen before The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2
@@jaylee0903 I doubt just calling out the demons name would send it back to hell. Surely valak would be back again
@@jaylee0903 No silly. The Conjuring 4 will take place BEFORE The Conjuring. It's a prequel and yes, Frenchie dies...that's why it's called "Last Rites."

Which made it interesting so you can't guess what it will be about, even though a lot of people already can guess various possible plots ahead
@@jaylee0903 That it could just be any new adventure at all does not feel that interesting or exciting to me.
They should have hinted at what adventure it would be.
@@CyberLance26 They did. It's about Ed and Lorraine having to deal with Frenchie as The Conjuring 4 will be a prequel about that situation, which was brought up in the original The Conjuring. How did you not pick up on that with the ending scene??

Frenchie’s exorcism is in The Nun II.

I think sister irene wasn’t performing an exorcism in the nun 2 just trying to defeat/ kill valak. I think she just wounded it thus valak will lie dormant in Frenchie until it is strong enough to strike again.
@@johnnymartinez1631 that's what I believe and that's when the exorcism of Frenchie will take place
In the conjuring 1 there is a scene the warren doing an exorcism to mouris and i think conjuring 4 gonna be about that helping mouris 🤷🏽♂️
Nah it won't be in Conjuring 4, but more possibly will be in The Nun III if they decided to make another sequel. The Conjuring 4 already has an official title called Last Rites, and i'm just guessing if they'll use the story based on the Snedeker's funeral home case which happened in 1986
@@jaylee0903 Wrong. It is about Frenchie and its called Last Rites because Frenchie dies and its a prequel. They also want to get both Farmiga sisters on the screen and cash in on that.

Post credit scene explained that the story will continue from Maurice the demon nun still posssed him and ed Lorraine will help him out to rescue the demon which will takes a new part to the nun 3
All these years, I thought The Nun and The Conjuring movies were related to Insidious because of the same male actor. What the heck? Why would they use the same actor? It's confusing.
It’s so obvious the next conjuring movie will be about him and his possession.
