About The Nun:
When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, Father Burke (Demian Bichir) with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows (Taissa Farmiga) are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Just watched the Nun 2 movie. Turns out the number one way to get over a horror movie is to watch the behind the scenes videos. Helps a lot.

In my opinion The Nun 1 is more scary because the place is so isolated than in the second movie

It takes mad acting skills to show emotion without doing anything. Bonnie is a magnificent actor. I want to learn more of the back story of Valak. How about a movie called “Valak” which tells the entire story? This whole series is fascinating and well done.

but i did a bit of googling and i found out that the Valak is something completely different to what they portrayed in The Conjuring universe movies. The Valak is a demonic entity that is believed in by many, however the only resemblance of it to the movie version, is the name itself

The nun haunts me in my sleep even after 9 months whenever I look at a cloak hanging from the hanger I see the nun. Truly the most haunted movie.

The whole idea is brilliant. The contradiction of what supposedly is a pious figure that turns out to be evil is just terrifying. It's a similar concept to let's say a religious figure who practices black magic, which has been done for other movies in different cultures/religions.
Miss Bonnie Aaron played the demon nun Valak stunningly beautiful. And She as the actress behind the icon was amazing, terrifying and beautiful ín the same way.
I am really glad that they have a dedicated clip for Bonnie.. she is amazing in the films. Valak is now on the same par as Freddie, Jason etc.
I respect your opinion, personally think Valak is alot scarier than Jason, Freddy and plenties of others. They failed to even give me any fright, let alone nightmares. But Valak the demon nun never failed, she both scared me, and gave me a nightmare that was so scary, I wrote it down afterwards, to read on Halloween. 😅😊
Really isn’t on the same level. Will be forgotten in a few years. Sorry will not be a classic. Maybe be remembered for how poor the movie was.

3:25 imo is where they made their biggest mistake visually. Valak was so much creepier with the white pale face in the Conjuring 2. Humanizing her skin tone took away from that haunting factor for me. Bring back the pale look please!
Agreed 100%. I hate her visuals in The Nun. I thought it was a lot better in The Nun II, more similar to what we had in Conjuring 2.

Honestly, the nun is not really scary like the other conjuring universe movies.
However, Valak is the only character who makes me curious about its story. I hope they add more about it in The Nun II. Can't wait to see. Like it. :)

What I didn’t like about The Nun is how it focused too much on Valak’s scary appearance, rather than the actual story quality. It’s as if the filmmakers prioritized how much they could shock the audience with her face/a jump scare, rather than with a gripping story. She was a mysterious figure in The Conjuring 2 but became too commercialized for The Nun. Don’t get me wrong; she’s a terrifying horror figure for sure. Just wish they had used her character in a more preserved, effective way. They were too blunt with the scares. Hopefully The Nun 2 will be better ❤
I agree like how Valak became a Valak and why in a figure of a Nun I mean there we're no concrete background story of this character to understand it more deeply.

Cool! 😃👍 I dressed up as a demon nun on Halloween after The Nun came out. I was so inspired by her. I think nun costumes became very popular after Valak the demon nun made her appearance. 😊
I saw it with my wife at the Cinema. The horror scenes made me laugh until one scene when I had a heart attack. I laughed but felt a hand fall over my head, that gave me an attack in my kidneys. Only to realize my wife had a Jumpscare and hit me with her hands in shock at the horror scene.

Valak (The Nun) has become a modern horror icon. Love what Bonnie Aarons did with the character. The Nun the movies has not been the best of the Conjuring universe but her preformance is S-tier.
In the history of the countless horror movies I've watched, Valak is my favorite demon, hands down.
