This band never fails to impress me! Nightwish Wacken 2013. This is my nightwish reaction and my reaction to Floor Jansen singing! This metalhead reacts to Nightwish Ever Dream for the first time and this is my metalhead reaction.

He allready is. He’s fronted the band Tarot for many years. He is also a part of the group Northern Kings, that does metal covers.
Also yearly Raskasta Joulua show, not a band but singing anyways😉 oh I love Marko and Floor singing Ave Maria in that show
@@cudahitz Here's a very young Marko with Tarot, this is Wings of Darkness, from 1986 (assuming the video was made when the song came out). ruclips.net/video/HFXcvqgWkHw/видео.html He sounds a bit different from what you just heard, because in the 90s (I don't recall the exact year) he had a botched surgery for throat polyps that nearly cost him his voice.
Marko has also worked with the group Delain quite a bit, The Gathering and Nothing Left both feature him, as does A Day for Ghosts, which also features an additional guest you might recognize!

Final note, a lot of people comment that Floor has the voice of an angel. That is true, but most people forget that angels are not the light fluffy creatures we're accustomed to seeing at Christmas. Biblical and mythological (redundant, yes I know) angels are beings of great power, with voices that Command, and presences that demand attention. So, an apt comparison for the Valkyrie, Floor Jansen.
LOOOL! When you're that good, it is hard to believe that you can actually sing better and better as the song goes on
Next I would recommend either Romanticide or Song of Myself. Either one is going to blow you away.

Marko is an absolute beast, both on bass and vocally. Give a listen to 7 Days to the Wolves - the bass line in that is brutal.

Marco can sing hey? 😎 What is almost more impressive is that he absolutely holds his own against Floor. And the almost desperation in Floor’s vocals is breathtaking.
If you want to hear the angel go full devil then you need to listen to Yours is an empty hope live from Wembley, pay attention to the chorus

The dude is Marko, the bass player and male lead vocals. There's a handful of song where he is the lead singer and he can more than carry a song.
He's got his own band where he is the lead singer. The name escapes me at this moment.
For more Marko try Ghost River (Wacken 2013), The Islander (Tampare) or Romanticide (Wacken 2013, smaller part)
Tarot is his old school metal band, but he also has solo stuff too

Nightwish have 3 vocalists. Floor, Marco and Troy. Marco is the basist and Troy is the multiinstrumentalist.
"I want my tears back" Troy plays in this song a irish backpipe. Its an amazing party song.
Marco sing "High Hopes" alone. Is a pink floyd cover, but better than the original. Marco kills this song with his vocals, Empu with his guitare solos and Jukka with his drums. My personal favorit song from Marco
If you do "I Want my Tears Back" Buenos Aires has a crowd whose energy puts most to shame.

Though very rarely done live, Tuomas also sings. He was the male vocalist of Nightwish in the very beginning until Marco took over that role. You can see and hear him sing in part V (Mother and Father) of "Poet and the Pendulum"

Marco (bassist) is a 2nd lead vocalist in the band. He actually sings lead on some songs. I think yo need to experience the metal side of Nightwish. Check out "Romanticide" live from Wacken 2013. Great job on this one my friend. Peace.

Ever Dream = Ever Green.
When Floor sings, hearing it is like having warm sweet honey to the ears.....and when Floor and Marko sings together, it is out of this world.
There is so many great Nightwish songs where these two sings together (And separated too). You should listen example "Devil& deep dark ocean" (Live Buenos Aires), it is like singing battle.
It is a soothing, yet aggressive voice

Marco has an excellent voice.. If they need some extra rasp, he gives it to them.. If they need harsh vocals he does that as well.. and if they need a super smooth harmonizing vocal to echo Floor, he also can do that... You will see him in do his part in many more songs coming up..

While you are sticking with the Wacken show, I'd suggest Wish I had an Angel, Ghost River, Romanticide where you can see a bit more of both singers in a bit heavier songs.
Then I would go to the Wembley show for Yours is an Empty Hope (to see just how big Floor's range is) and then my fav song, their second masterpiece, Poet and the Pendulum.
Finally you can top it off with their third masterpiece The Greatest Show on Earth from the Tampere show.
I think now you are starting to understand the depth of this band... but wait there is more, wait to you see and hear Troy as well.. Try 'Song of Myself' next or for more solo Marco i recommend their cover of Pink Floyds 'High hopes' from end of an era concert.. it's amazing.

Floor and Marko are great in 7 Days to The Wolves, live at Wembley and The Greatest Show on Earth, also live Wembley. And of course Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean at Buenos Aires, although in that song they sing in turn in stead of in harmony. Btw rhey have a third singer, Troy, who also,sings on The Greatest Show on Earth (a 20 min long masterpiece about evolution).

Marko enjoyed singing with Floor because he longer had to hold himself back! Wish he would come back! Marko sings "High Hopes" - a tribute to Pink Floyd and is Effing AWESOME!... and Emppu really channels the metal side of David Gilmour! Emppu loves his whammy bar but he can pick, tap and shred with the best of them!
So you noticed Marco can sing ... "Ghost River" ... "Your's is an empty hope" in terms of Floor and growling ... as a suggestion.

There's a number of great bands that apply the Angelic voice over Power metal trick, and it's glorious. None do it quite as well as Nightwish, because none of them have Floor and Tuomas but none teh less if you dig this kind of music there's a genre out there waiting to be discovered.
Unleash the Archers, Band-Maid, Lovebites, Halestorm, Aldious, Lacuna Coil, Amaranthe to name but a few.
Try Romanticide or Yours is a empty hope both are heavy and Marco and Floor shair the vocals you cannot go wrong and if you want just Marco try the Islander not only can he play bass and sing he plays a mean guitar as well .Every member of this band are A+ musicians .They dont do average its all amazing just when you think you have them sussed they will do something you never expected and blow you away..

The how is easy, Marco is fucking amazing! NW is like a super group that wasn’t trying to be a super group. They are all beasts at what they do, literally, they all kill their own ‘speciality’.

Not only is Marko a great singer, but so is Troy too. So Nightwish have three singers.
Listen to The Islander, live at Tampere. Marko singing solo.
Try Romanticide or Song of Myself next if you want more Marco and Floor... they're also one of their heavier songs. While Your Lips Are Still Red or The Islander if you want mostly Marco. Just like Floor he will not let you down in any way.

Markko is a beast. Try nightwishs cover of high hopes (pink Floyd) to hear some excellent vocals from Markko. Islander and while your lips are still red is another couple.
Most people reacting to GLS "Floor's voice is amazing. She's an angel. How can she sing like that? etc etc" Second reaction to another with Floor " She is amazing, she's incredible, etc." 3rd reaction where unknown to them Marko has a part "She is amazing, she is incredible, how can she be so goo.... WTF MARKO!!!!" You are not the only one to be surprised that Floor is not the only amazing singer in the band. He even takes lead vocals on some songs. Enjoy your journey into the rabbit hole of wonder that is Nightwish. You have barely scratched the surface of what this band has to offer. By reaction 5 or 6 you will be realising that Tuomas (aka The Metal Mozart) will be wowing you too (though not by singing!)
The thing is, the videos of Wacken 2013 are old news. Seven years is a long time. It's still very beautiful and great but Nightwish has moved on. Mix more recent songs with old stuff to get a more realistic picture of Nightwish. Also it may be recommended to watch interviews with Tuomas (and other members). Regarding Floor (even Marko)... Ayreon may be interesting to watch.
