She was a metal goddess before that! She was already great from AF, but in ReVamp just before her burnout we were really already starting to see her reach those next levels. And then she just keeps breaking glass ceilings we didn't know existed since coming back.

12:17 I actually miss those faces. Those expressions. Jukka was just like Floor: he didn't just drum the songs, he relived the songs every time. Kai may be a better drummer technically, but it seems like drumming is just as exciting for him as peeling potatos. Jukka put way more emotion in his sound.
Heath I love your reactions so much that I subscribed. I discovered Nightwish when this concert came out, and I was just as blown away as you. I am a major rocker throughout the late 70’s, all of the 80’s rock bands and 90’s, I have literally been to hundreds and hundreds of concerts and have met many of those bands. I have one wish before I die, and that is to see Nightwish in concert. I think Wacken 2013 is definitely the best live concert ever. They are stupendous. I never get tired of them and this concert, I can watch it over and over and over again. I really enjoy your reactions more than anyone else I have seen Heath, keep it up!!!

And Floor is just apex awesome. I've got this concert (and the other major live shows...) on my phone. Every time i travel, i put them up. Watched this one so many, many times...!

@XiphiasX10A For sure, though I would say that the song "Storytime" is the odd exception that actually does _worse_ with a powerful singer like Floor. The pacing of your breathing gets all out of whack if you have to take a breath after each phrase! You know how strong a voice Floor has, but the way the phrases are spaced out you can only take a breath every other one if you're singing "pop-style" and relying on your mic for power, like Anette. You can hear just how winded Floor gets by the end, breathing in between each phrase, and never getting to expel the 2nd half of her lungs so she's sitting there with a chest half-full of dead air... to anyone who's had to sing that way it feels like breathing through a straw. XD So score one for Tuomas, knowing his singers well enough to write Anette the perfect one for her style that not even Tarja or Floor could handle comfortably!

Also, I think Europe is smart using singers with varied backgrounds. The musicians are Phenomenal! Them using Uilleann ( Irish Bagpipes) pipes is great! That is the one thing I did with my kids was expose them to as many types of music as possible. My oldest son's 1st concert was Ted Nugent opening for KISS. They both love metal and prog. So this kid and of metal has a great appeal to them. But they have both been to the Phantom Of The Opera every thing me it has come through or we were in town to go see it. They like Opera and Broadway. Now they are both lighting engenireers and the oldest also does sound. Of course I:m biased.
Please, please do the "end of an era" show. It's so magical and you won't regret. Last Tarja show. Trust me, it's great! People is requesting for it ;)

Wacken concert is a nice one indeed mostly because of the energy it creates, but if i am to sit down and take everything in i enjoy wembley 2015 more.
I have all concert recordings with Floor on BluRay. Wacken, Wembley, Tampere and Buenos Aires. All four are fantastic.

You can hear just how winded Floor gets by the end, breathing in between each phrase, and never getting to expel the 2nd half of her lungs so she's sitting there with a chest half-full of dead air... to anyone who's had to sing that way it feels like breathing through a straw. XD So score one for Tuomas, knowing his singers well enough to write Anette the perfect one for her style that not even Tarja or Floor could handle comfortably!

Also, I think Europe is smart using singers with varied backgrounds. The musicians are Phenomenal! Them using Uilleann ( Irish Bagpipes) pipes is great! That is the one thing I did with my kids was expose them to as many types of music as possible. My oldest son's 1st concert was Ted Nugent opening for KISS. They both love metal and prog. So this kid and of metal has a great appeal to them. But they have both been to the Phantom Of The Opera every thing me it has come through or we were in town to go see it. They like Opera and Broadway. Now they are both lighting engenireers and the oldest also does sound. Of course I:m biased.
