When you see all the drama surrounding floor's entrance into the band, the triumph of this is even more mind blowing! The documentary "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours" gives a good idea of the chaos & stress of it. The band was really stressed out about desperately trying to complete this long tour & having to bring in an emergency replacement after letting Anette go a few months in. Luckily Floor's old band had opened for Nightwish a few years earlier & they knew her.

Super Humans on stage here. The most powerful concert I have ever heard. Floor absolutely magnificent. Jukka with unbelievable timing and stamina. Empu as always just in the corner pushing brilliant riffs. Marco sharing the vocal stage with Viking Goddess and singing and playing exceptionally. 2 thoughts on this, inclouding one shaming myself:
1st. imagine Floor being quite newly introduced (just a few months before, when she steppped in for Anette during their world tour) to be the new voice of Nightwish. it was the 1st time for the majority of this audience to be able to listen to her amazing take on these songs. And she just won the audience over.
2nd. imagine a tired girl, too tired to walk back from the campground to the festival area to see Nightwish that very night. Instead she just sits in front of her tent and, at the second the first sounds from the stage far away wave over to her, she immediately starts hating herself, because she suddenly realizes, that she is missing out on one hell of an epic experience. You guessed right, that girl was me, back in 2013. I actually had been at the Wacken Open Air and the fool, I had been, was just too tired to go back to the festival area to see them. This actually will haunt me like forever...

I definitely second this. The documentary is about the Imaginaerium tour, which this concert at Wacken was a part of. It is an incredible watch and documents nicely how Anette became ill and how they parted ways. And mainly how Floor took over for the rest of the tour and less than two days to learn the whole setlist. I still can't believe that at the time of the Wacken concert she was just a temporary stand-in.

What is beyond my understanding is how in Earth is it still possible that so many people have never heard of Nightwish. Europeans and Finns in particular are lucky for having Nightwish in their life since late 1990's. But I feel sorry for all those who still haven't got the taste of the magic of Nightwish (this being due to the bad taste of the radio stations in so many countries).

I have a download of this concert and I have it on Spotify, but never actually watched the whole show from start to finish though I have seen several songs from it through reaction channels. So this is the first time I get to watch the whole thing. I've never seen a channel do a whole show before. Albums sure, but not a full LIVE concert. Awesome!
I figured this must've been one of Floor's first shows with Nightwish but never knew it was Floors very first performance. And with all that pressure as you mentioned... I didn't think she could blow me away more than she already had. It's makes this performance that much more incredible. What a hell of a first impression at the time to the fans :D
Edit: Seen it now... Jesus christ man. That was so epic. My jealousy of the people that were there went through the roof now. I'm so gonna go and see them next time they come to Sweden, I'm more determined than ever! Sadly they're not scheduled this year :(

As you watch the whole concert I've to share this story one more time. Yes I was there at Wacken 2013. As you might allready know it was a 3 days festival and besides of Nightwish the headliners were Deep Purple, Motörhead, Rammstein and Alice Cooper, also Antrax, Rage and Grace Digger and so on. I don't know how to say it but even it wasn't the only Wacken I ever attended it might have been some of my best days of my life in general. Not only was the athosphere absolutely great but the weather was too, and during the first days final concert of Rammstein I got on with a scottish girl to assure the claim "What happens in Wacken stays in Wacken!"
After spending the whole Friday sunbathing, drinking beer and attending some of the shows we were interested in on saturday afternoon a good friend of my brother (they play in the same band "Aeternitas") asked us whether we want to watch the Nightwish show from atop of one of the camera plattforms. I was all over it and my brother agreed, because he knew I was all over Nightwish at this time. And yes we totally go for it and we got to watch the show above erveryone elses head. Outside of LARP of corse this was the most magical night I've ever witnessed.

You really need to watch "Please Learn the Setlist in 48 Hours". It talks all about the tour, for which this was the 3rd last show and Annette's departure and Floor's joining. Will make you fall in love with the band Kamelot too.

See the documentary and listen to how Floor Jansen is changing how she sings. With the live performance's & her hard work you can see that she's a hardworking lady.
    She's not a woman, she's a Lady 😎

Every NW fan needs to see it. I know some of them haven't seen it yet. Maybe most of them. It shows you the Floor Effect* amongst the band members, lets you experience what they've been through and how they recover. Plus you get to know them better.

There are no words to describe just how good a concert performance this is! You still have Tampere and Wembley concerts to see which include a few epic songs not seen here. 🤘

With this show, she took the band to another level. She confirm her place as the lead singer.

I watched this whole thing with you, must have been maybe the tenth time I see this whole concert 😂 Great stuff man, keep it up. I like how your reaction after each song was pretty much the same, almost speechless lol. Tampere 2015 must be the next concert if you decide to go that way, it has many different songs compared to this one! And if you choose to do one song at a time, then I’ll just say that blindly choose one and go with that, they’re all good 😃

You can see so clearly how they enjoy playing the concert. They dont seem to be tired or just playing to be done with it.
Its a joy... so perfect concert.. so perfect Nighwish with Floor and Marco singing. I'm stunned. And you are right, the drummer is wicked.. I love watching him. I believe, he is not with them on stage anymore due to issues with insomnia. And I don't know about his replacement. But I don't have doubts that he is also wild on the drums XD

Thank you for this one, its always great to watch it all along :) And even if you get copyrighted on Poet and the pendulum you need to watch it - it is so good that you are missing out. Just drop the video if it gets copyrighted and do the vid just for yourself, you'v earned it after this.

Floor Jansen had 48 hours to learn the entire set list between them hiring her as a temporary replacement for Anette (their second singer) and their first concert with her. I believe that she would have been with them for less than a year by Wacken 2013. I think the rest of the band is still trying to get over how amazing of a singer she is by this point.

Fantastic reaction. FYI, If you want to listen to this on a regular basis, Nightwish's album Showtime Storytime is just this concert on two cds. For something a bit different, try Sleeping Sun or Stargazers from the Tampere concert. Thank you for this, loved it.

Awesome reacts my brother! Keep'em coming!!! 👍🤘👊
    ...on a relative note...
You've mentioned the drummer several times.
In my opinion, you'd be hard pressed to find a better drummer than Jukka in the business (even tho he had to step back for a bit)
    ((he suffers from severe insomnia))
You should check out the End of an Era concert w/ Tarja as well (particularly "The Siren")
...another interesting fact, the drummer with them now actually came on at the request of Jukka (original drummer) but he is also the one who taught Jukka how to play.
