    Thank you for teaching this! I will show show my girlfriend this. The hand skips like you are throwing a pebble across the pond. Keep up the great work!

    love this sign!! pun unintended 😂 just wondering, does it matter how many times the 1-handshape hand touches the palm when it’s “falling”?

    • @ASLMeredith
      @ASLMeredith  2 года назад +2

      Thanks, Hannah! Generally it'll be twice, but you might see it bounce an extra time.

    Can you pls maybe do the word “the” in sign language I have been looking all over for it on the internet but I can’t find it! And your so good at ASL so can you help?? 😅🥺

      I found it about twenty years ago on the internet but I can’t find it anymore: it’s the letter T handshape, with palm facing up then twist so palm faces down. I never use it. Could be outdated by now: I never seen a hard hearing or deaf person use it yet but I’ll ask my buddy if they seen it before.

    Thank you my girlfriend and I appreciate you all so much. I feel in love I want to ask her to merry me but I'm unsure about her family knows she and I are she and she. So how can I ask her that??

    How do you use it in a sentence? Like "I fall in love you"? Is "with" implied? Still not great with ASL grammar

    Thank you Meredith for the teaching. 🙂🙏
    I just wonder, why people call it as "fall in love", as if it is something bad? Isn't more accurate if we call it as "soar in love"? 😊❤️

    • @ASLMeredith
      @ASLMeredith  2 года назад +3

      Love that! Great question - some think it feels like falling, but I love the idea of SOARING! :)

      doesn't have the same ring to it. just single falling in love with you by elvis and replace it with soaring..... just,, NOPE!

    Is it the same sign if I want to say "FELL in love" as in "I fell in love with him/her"

    • @ASLMeredith
      @ASLMeredith  2 месяца назад

      Yes! Absolutely. In general, ASL verbs don't distinguish past/future differently from the present, though there are other types of temporal inflection. I address this in my beginner course! Learn more: courses.aslmeredith.com/
