Thank you! This worked for the Cadillac CTS with the 2.0 engine too. My codes were P0010 and P0011 and I had to replace the intake side (passenger side) only. I used ECH VVS1854 from NAPA. It cost me only $50 and around 20 minutes; a Cadillac dealership near Atlanta quoted me $1,200 for this!!! The exhaust side with error code P0013 is covered under warranty, but the intake side is not.

Slide the locking tab over towards the end of the connector towards the wires. Get a pair of wide pliers, and gently squeeze the end of the connector (one end of plier tip is on that extended tab, and the other end is on the connector) while pulling the connector away from the solenoid. Of course it is easier if you do this before removing the bolt from the solenoid

Gotta 2014 ats 2.0 turbo. Took it to the dealer. Went from "It's covered by warranty" to "Oops. Turns out only the exhaust solenoid is covered, and it's going to be $560 parts and labor to replace the other one."
Needless to say, I'm glad I came across this video.
Update: Those electrical connectors aren't supposed to just "wiggle" off. You pull the tab out, press in on the connector (Like, toward the engine), and then push the tab down as you pull out.
Other than that 10/10 would highly recommend.

I replaced the exhaust solenoid about a year ago on my 2014 Cadillac ATS 2.0 and the light went on for service again so I took it to Auto Zone and the code came up P0011 which was the intake solenoid. The exhaust was easy so I got the part from the dealer which was $62 and will replace the input. Needless to say, this was a pain to get out after I got the clip out the solenoid was frozen in which I had to take large pliers to hold onto the solenoid and get a big hammer and bang on the pliers to loosen up the solenoid and finally got it out. The clip was a little more difficult than the exhaust, you have to remember to pull the white clip all the way down and then get a pair of pliers and pull down on the clip.

This took me a little bit longer than your video. I have an 2014 ATS btw…and I had to use pliers to get those plastic connectors off (while another person used a flathead like a “chisel”)…and I broke a couple of little pieces off of them 😞. They still were “connectable”…but one connector definitely has a crack down the side…I hope they don’t fail later and I end up with a big bill 😣
