Years ago i bought an old belt sander at a garage sale for $10. I finally got around to making a permanent stand for it. That way i can use it as a benchtop belt sander in my shop. Basically the stand is just something that holds it in place and has a table to set the workpiece. I built mine in a couple hours with some scrap wood i had in the shop. No plans, just made it as i went along.
The other option would be to buy a belt and disc sander new.
