  • I recently purchased a belt sander and I built this jig to be able to use it much more comfortably. I purchased the belt sander in a local shop, yours might be different brand, but the idea, built and shape can be the same.

Thanks for this. There are many builds out there for a belt sander stand, but I love your minimal approach and your use of tools many of us already have. Liked and subscribed!

Do you have to disassemble to change the belt?

To change the belt you just need to remove the screws from the bottom panel and you will have access to the belt

What is the size of the mfd?

The size of the mdf is depends on the model of the sander. Different models shape will be slightly different, if however you do have the same model, please do let me know and i will provide the measurements

I'd say you will need about 60cm X 60cm mdf board, i built mine out of 18mm, but 12mm will be fine too
