    Since grinders rotate at high speeds, if you're concerned about the safety aspects such as material scattering, consider using a variable speed grinder or a speed controller (10:32). Details of the tools used are listed in the description. Thank you for watching.

    As a metal worker and weldor, having made all my own fixtures, jig's and many tools my whole working life, this is a fantastic video with really well done ideas. I would suggest a variable speed grinder for anyone building these.

      you're a bad metal worker for recommending the variable speed ones.
      unless you wanna spend ALOT
      i have had a few variable speed ones. and they would have all grinded to a complete halt with half of the operations the guy is showing in the video.
      his grinder actually powers through. that's what you're after.

    • @wingnutbert9685
      @wingnutbert9685 9 месяцев назад +14

      @@darkracer1252 Variable speed grinders vary in price. And what is considered a lot to one person could be spare change to another. And slowing down the rpm's can be well worth the price depending on what you are grinding, even metal.
      Your experience is one thing, but it's not a universal fact. Varying rpm's can be done in more than one way and that affects performance. Not to mention how you use the tool. Stuff a work piece into any tool like a gorilla, beyond it's design parameters, and you'll get shit results.
      Steel can tolerate higher rpm grinder speeds, generally. But wood is different. Tool speed and abrasive have to be considered more with wood as it varies more. Density, grain, composition, combustion point, etc.
      Can tools be pushed and/or pulled outside of their design and used successfully? Sure. But you have to have the experience. Many hobbyists just don't have that tool time.

      @@ЕвгенийА83 это уже к вапросу аккуратности, наличия головы ну и тд
      не то чтобы это хорошо, но если это не потоковое производство, когда всё на автомате делают, и какраз можно забыться или пренебречь чем то что в дальнейшем приводит к печальным событиям, а для разовых операций, когда каждый раз всё индивидуально под конкретную деталь можно и без систем безопасности, но да, надо очень аккуратно, осторожно
      Я думаю что почти любой кто так или иначе пользуется болгаркой применял её например без защитного кожуха, потому как иногда он мешает, или диск устанавливал большего диаметра, т к маленький не достаёт, и да это опасно, но если разово и аккуратно, то иногда выручает и без последствий (покрайней мере у меня)

    Если ты используешь болгарку как привод в каких-нить приспособах и узлах, то обязательно устанавливать ее искрой от себя! А если при этом ты собираешься работать и с деревом, то на часть корпуса с воздухозаборниками натягивать носок резинкой перед воздухозабором и с легким каркасиком, расправляющим носок, внутри. Потом сам посмотришь и офигеешь, сколько пыли на нем останется. Можно найти пластиковый флакон, диаметром больше болгарки на 1-2см и прорезать в дне отверстие по диаметру корпуса болгарки. Надевается на корпус сзади и протягивется вперед, закрывая воздухозаборники. Фильтр/носок натягивается уже на него.
    А чтобы не поднимать облако пыли 15:14 лучше установить на выпускные окна охлаждения отклоняющие поток в сторону направляющие, которые можно или напечатать на принтере, или выклеить по матрице из эпоксидки. Можно даже из бумаги с клеем ПВА по технологии папье-маше и потом пропитать ПВА и снаружи. Получается прочный композит.
    В вашем случае начать с того, что развернуть корпус редуктора на 90 гражусов для выброса воздуха в стороны, а не вверх-вниз.
