      Generally, I like to focus organic marketing in the immediate local area and use paid ads to branch out further away. With local service ads its easy to max it out with a small service area so adding additional areas is usually the play.
      There's no blanket answer that works for everyone. Marketing is a competition so you have to play your market and the competitors in it.

      Yes but 300 isn't enough to get results from most ads. Try 3000. You have to remember you're competing with companies that spend more than that. It's not like shopping at Target... business is a competitive sport and you won't be competitive with 1/10 of the budget of the average company.

      1.optimize/manage
      2. Response rate

      5. Budget
      If you are still exeperiencing low number of leads or no leads at all after focusing on this 6 numbers. There might be something wrong with your campaign.

    • @chuckthecontractor
      @chuckthecontractor  11 месяцев назад +1

      It is very competitive these days, especially in places like Chicago. If you can't compete directly, you have to think outside of the box. Always focus hard on repeat business and referrals. IF you can get those consistently, then you can afford to spend more on marketing. You might not make much money from the first transaction but if you know repeat business and referrals are coming later, you know that it will pay off in the long run. That's how the big guys look at it.

    • @chuckthecontractor
      @chuckthecontractor  5 месяцев назад +1

      It's probably the case that a lot of your competitors figured out what you did. This is always how it happens. The only long term solution is to diversify your marketing and be everywhere you can be. To grow a company beyond a small size you need to do multiple, if not all types of marketing that are available to you. If you are overly reliant on one form of customer acquisition, it's a trap like the one you fell into.

    • @chuckthecontractor
      @chuckthecontractor  11 месяцев назад +1

      It completely depends on how much other companies in your area are already paying. If other companies are willing and currently paying 500/lead, then that's the number you'll have to pay, give or take. The industry standard for restoration and remediation companies is 400/lead on Google Ads.
      There are tools you can use to estimate those numbers but ultimately they are useless compared to just doing it. Run some ads. First, figure out how much you are willing to spend to get a new customer. Is that number $1000? $3000?. What is your profit on your average job? Knowing these numbers can help you go in with targets to reach and let you know if you are winning or losing as soon as you buy some data from Google.

    • @Balaji-qd5vs

    • @chuckthecontractor
      @chuckthecontractor  11 месяцев назад +1

      @@Balaji-qd5vs It's literally impossible to give you an actual number unless I'm already running ads for that in your area. It differs based on your competition. Google Ads is built on a bidding system. If Contractor A is willing to spend $100 per click, then Contractor B must spend more than that if he wants to be displayed before Contractor A.
      Cost per lead is just an average number you calculate based on how much you spend total divided by the number of leads you get.
      Is it possible to get 30 kitchen leads for $1500? OF course it is, somewhere at sometime... That doesn't help you though because you are located wherever you're located right now...
      The whole number of leads thing isn't relatable either because for some businesses and lead sources, it takes 2 leads to close a deal. In other situations it might take 30 leads to close a deal. Again, those numbers are different for everyone and unless you can access accurate data across tons of companies (YOu really can't), then it's pointless worrying about that.
      The only thing you can do is 1. Stack the deck in your favor by having a great sales process and giving people the best experience possible and then 2. Try it for yourself.
      There are 1000's of marketers out there that will sell you this and that. The truth is none of them know exactly how any given tactic will work for you. IF they pretend they do, they're full of shit. The only way to figure out how it will work for you is to try it. Just don't half-ass it because you'll waste time and money and learn nothing.

    Google guarantee is not working for me. I am paying $125 per/week (more than I want to spend), and the phone is not ringing.

      @@ajfedz budget is a big ranking factor, the reason your not getting calls is because your competition is spending a lot more. Set your budget high for a bigger ROI

      @@Danielonlinemastery Google guarantee sucks. For a budget of $125 per/week, google gives you 1 to 4 bad leads. That sucks! I was at the top for months. Google guarantee still sucks!

      @@abrekd3506 I'm paying $2 per click in an extremely competitive industry in a medium/smaller sized city. Chuck might be a nice guy, but this is a huge difference to what he said at 2:52 . Add to that his professional response of "lol" and I think I'd look elsewhere for your marketing needs.
      He is right though that google local services is definitely cheaper, and that if you just answer the phone you definitely don't need to hire someone to "manage" it for you. They do literally almost nothing.
