Thank you for the video! I have a brand new company for tile installation and bathroom kitchen remodel. Since I am a new company what would you recommend to start advertising? Yelp, Google local ads or thumbtack?
They don't auto refund you. They sit on your money for 60 days, and if you turn your ad off in that 60 days, you lose that money. They also don't allow you to narrow your scope of services so you get many calls outside of what you do. I had a contractor call me, and it clearly showed on the recording they are a contractor. Google denied my dispute. Ad placement is based on budget and max lead amount you're willing to pay. It makes the phone ring, but I find 50% are not my customers.
Hmm I have some auto-refunded all the time. Thanks for sharing your experience. It's a new product so it's good to get input from multiple people. Appreciate it.
that was the reason I turned off my ads on google it was a complete waste of money I was getting charge because someone clicked on my ad out of curiosity or because someone was calling to offer me some kind of service, I was hoping this new thing google guaranteed was better.
@andrew wastien it does make the phone ring. You can't narrow down your services enough to weed out the tire kickers. I sold 3 jobs in 12 months off this service, and I would say 50-60% of the calls were looking for something I don't offer or just tire kickers. 15-20% of the calls were from marketers and contractors.
You should always be skeptical. Track everything closely and decide if it's worth it or not. There are no long term contracts so it's not very risky. Let us know how it goes!
it is good to know that they will not charge you for clicks or spam calls like they used to, I tried google ads but it was a fucking scam I was getting charge 5 7 10 dollars per clicks like the one you did in the video or spam calls a complete waste of money.
All forms of advertising are getting more expensive every day. That means less margin for error. If you aren’t doing everything right, it’s easy to waste money.
@@jamestilly1748 bid on the proper keywords, set up conversion tracking properly, call leads immediately, follow up incessantly, and track everything accurately so you know what's going on.
The only problem is Google spoofs my phone number just like a hacker. I normally have people text me there address because I am always driving or have my hands full working. When I get a Google call I can not have people text me there address because Google gave them a fake number. So ask if they have your correct phone number... Just something to keep in mind...
A good lecture that will benefit all who have followed this excellent explanation.
This solved several of my questions - thanks for the tutorial, I will watch your episodes with pleasure
great video

Thanks a lot for sharing. Great tip.
Just get a good SEO guy and crawl your rankings organically way better long term results.
But who is a good seo guy? I have a small hvac company and need seo and content.
Avoid this at all cost my friend had money debited out of his account with scammers to trying to get refunded for that money back scammers.
