Yup.. definitely doesn’t work.. I called a past client just to connect again and see how the project was holding up. Long story short they brought us back for additional work, and the neighbor hired us as well.

Can’t say I’ve had the same experience. Angie’s has been a great generator of revenue for me. Also they never said anything remotely close to $20,000. At the same time I was made aware of money I would potentially be spending with Angi like budget amounts. To be honest this sounds like a scam. Someone pretending to be with Angi… You can just turn your leads off and keep them off and you won’t be charged.

This looks like 100% click funnel bullshit. I’ve had my own agency and have worked at a remodeling company and let me tell you. There’s no way in hell I would be doing construction if I had my own agency. Recurring revenue it changes lives the only house I could see you working on is your own.

No they’re not. Yes, it’s possible to make a decent living in the trades but it takes time, money and grit. One can only possibly become a millionaire by operating a highly profitable business. This means having insane people, selling, marketing and communication skills. Most people in the trades go into trades because they don’t have those skills. For every trades millionaire there are 80 guys that struggle. But no one becomes a millionaire in the trades at 24 unless they’re already a millionaire.

Wow I learned so much in this video I’m 17 I started my own business this past summer but before that I was working at a supermarket not saying bad I miss working part time but I started off by door knocking in community and I got clients and some referred me friends and family I turn 18 on Feb 14 and I wanna get into concrete business I have done it multiple time with my father and did couple projects on our land and it something I enjoy concrete pavers stucco and landscaping putting everything in gods hands and hope everything goes great

Just started this video, I plan on taking my c10 exams next month. I would like to go out on my own as soon as possible. I would love to be able to get service work, something enough for 1 person to handle for now. Commercial is all of my experience and although I’m willing to do residential, I’d like to stick to it.

Do you mind sharing what type of business your friend has? If the 60% is net profits, that's amazing. I personally think that when figuring out how much you spend on advertising, it should be figured off gross profit, not net just because your net is what you take home not what you would want to spend on advertising 😉. I do door knocking for tree surgery, gdn work, jet washing, outside painting, gutter cleaning etc. You need to keep your skill set wide. Have a leaflet to show them. People look genuinely surprised that they are meeting someone prepared to actually do some work in this day and age

The truly amortized cost of a Yelp lead, is cost prohibitive. For example, if you land one out of 8 leads, the cost of the lead for that lead is NOT the lead cost of that job. No, you have to fold in the costs of all the leads that produced that job. If Yelp is charging $80 per lead, your cost was not $80. It was $80 X 8, or $640. That was the true cost to land that job, from a bottom feeder customer with price as the primary criteria. Yelp really really sucks.Worse yet, it's like heroin. The money you spent on Yelp is money you didn't spend on optimizing your own web presence; the only damn thing Yelp does. Now, you're beholden to Yelp for a shitty price driven transaction fighting with other contractors to eat. Notice most established companies won't touch Yelp. It's the hungry 35 year old who's willing to be in a foot race with another 35 year old. Yelp is the pits.
