Hi chuck absolutely love your channel just subscribed and turned on the notification bell. My name is Abdullah I am 20 years old and I currently live in Toronto Canada. I really love the construction industry and see how much potential there is, my longterm goal is to own my own business that can possibly function with out me. My plan is to first work for a successful home remodeling company to get a good understanding of the different trades, then go for my GC license. My next goal is to work as a project manager and part time in sales to learn as much as I can on the business end. I strongly believe that this will provide with a good understanding and the skills needed to start my own construction business. At the the end of the day I am still a 20 year old and this goal may sound delusional so I hope you may guide me and give me advice on what you think the most ideal and efficient path to take on becoming a construction business owner. I would also like to know if you see value in the formal schooling route (4 year bachelors in construction management) or simply working my way to my goal. I thank you once again for your help and wish your channel the best of success!!!!
You're welcome. I have another video coming out next week where I revisit this topic. I hope that it's more clear and concise. Hope you'll check it out. Cheers.
Hi Chuck! Just wondering, do you have a way for contractors like me to pay you for an hour of your time for you to help me set up a lead gen system for my remodeling company? I would love some hands on help
Hey @kirilllesnykh2166! I recently helped a contractor in a similar situation. While I don’t currently offer one-on-one coaching sessions since we build systems, I can however share some effective methods we used to set up a lead generation system that was incredibly potent for a contractor just recently. We started by drafting several short, authoritative email templates, including an intro, follow-up, and closing message. Each email had a personalized first line with specific details about the prospect to show genuine interest. We organized client information in a spreadsheet and used Mail Merge to send out these personalized emails in bulk. This approach saved time and ensured each email felt personal. We dedicated the start of the week to researching and building our prospect list, aiming for 100-500 contacts. Emails were sent midweek (Tuesday-Thursday) around 10 am to catch people’s attention. Leveraging AI tools like ChatGPT, we quickly researched prospects and generated personalized intro lines for our emails. This significantly reduced the time spent on manual research and enhanced the personalization of our messages. I think the real key here, if you opt to use AI assistants, is to ensure you keep your unique personality and voice with all your outreach by preloading your AI assistants (i.e. ChatGPT) with your own writing samples. At the end of the day, automation and AI should really just multiply your own efforts, not completely replace them or the human aspect. This method helped achieve quick results and saved hours of work each week. By using AI and automation to handle the drafting and research, we maintained a consistent outreach effort while keeping the personalized touch. Hope this helps! What methods are you currently using to bring in clients?
Established companies must do many if not all of the strategies available to them. Each has diminishing returns. You can't just scale advertising to infinity... So, an established company will benefit from door knocking just like they'll benefit from other marketing strategies. The key is to measure the ROI for each strategy so you know how to delegate your resources.
Good question! Our shirts have our phone number on them. People recognize our brand when we're out and about. I've had people approach me at home depot because I'm wearing a branded shirt. It also makes us look more professional.
A shirt or hat can strike a conversation. You would be surprised. Hell, my paint sprayer in my truck has got me a job at a grocery store . Everything helps with branding. And it's not an immediate thing. It takes time, my next jump is magnetic signs

You da man chuck
Gold, as always
Where do you put door knocking for established companies? Shouldn't they go more towards advertising which can actually improve their margins?
Established companies must do many if not all of the strategies available to them. Each has diminishing returns. You can't just scale advertising to infinity... Telling your age if you still going off the food pyramid 😂 that Shiznit been changed for like 30 yrs but funny.

How is a shirt or a hat going to bring new business?
Good question! Our shirts have our phone number on them. People recognize our brand when we're out and about. I've had people approach me at home depot because I'm wearing a branded shirt. It also makes us look more professional.
I been wearing branded shirt for 20 years ever day and i can honestly say that it hasn't created a single job...
Advertising and online reviews are the most important things in my opinion.
A shirt or hat can strike a conversation. You would be surprised. Hell, my paint sprayer in my truck has got me a job at a grocery store . Everything helps with branding. And it's not an immediate thing. It takes time, my next jump is magnetic signs
@@FlynnsPaintingCompany Exactly! It's a bunch of little things that add up and make a difference. Thanks for sharing.
