    the tripod one is underrated, working on short films I constantly find myself wishing I had invested in a really great tripod from the start. Those one time extension clips are a must!

    Bro what is this wizardry?! The centre of the image is clean and clear but the outsides have chromatic aberration of some sort and look trippy in a good way. Explain what you’re doing, sir!!! ❤

    The one other thing I would add is getting extension cord reels. Access to outlets is never as close as you want on location with clients and just having that extension cord is going to save us a lot of embarrassment. Next to my camera, extension cords come with me to every single gig I do. Things like extension cords and light stands may be unsexy purchases so you might instinctively not want to spend more on them, but the reality is, cheap stuff breaks and then you end up needing to buy replacement unsexy gear over and over. Buy it once properly and then never have to worry about it again and you can keep focused on the sexy stuff like cameras and lenses.

    你好 solid vid dude, for ages I was dead set I wasn't going to spend silly money on a tripod as it wasn't needed, fast forward to me actually working in this industry and I see the value and bit the bullet lol. Cages are a must though hey, I cage every camera. Literally just sold my A7Siii and now waiting until the 8th for the Sony announcement to see what they rveal before buying a new camera, was going to buy and FX3 and FX30 as I want a B cam that matches easily but have considered the S5iiX as a B cam just cause it looks cool. If Sony announce the A7Siv I'm tempted just to leave the main camera for a few months and see if the FX3 ii gets released and make do with just the FX30 until it does. Guess we''ll see in a few days

    • @VictorLaforteza
      @VictorLaforteza  9 месяцев назад

      yeah I was the same!! hahah but I think they're coming out with the new A9 I think potentially it'll be next year for the a7siv.. if it will ever exist haha but you cant go wrong with the fx3! I think ill have that camera until it dies on me lol

      @@VictorLaforteza yeah it was hard to sell my a7siii but I think the fx3 will be just enough different to warrant the change. Just hope they give it shutter angle finally

    Very informative Victor! How does a cage with handheld compare to a gimbal? Or is it two different things? Also i was wondering if i was to use a gimbal is the general consensus to not stabilize video in post? Lastly are we supposed to turn off active stabilization on sony a6700 if im using a gimbal? Thanks as always Victor much appreciated for everything you do! 🙏✌️

    • @VictorLaforteza
      @VictorLaforteza  10 месяцев назад

      two very different things! both can be versatile too! I stabilize my gimbal video in post if I need to. Just some shots won't stabilize well with it! And yeah, turn it off while on a gimbal :)
