That Sachtler tripod is probably the best piece of gear I've ever bought, worth every cent! If you buy the matching fluid head, it comes with a quick release so I can lift off the entire fluid head (with camera attached) and transplant it onto a different tripod, or even a slider within seconds.

I love this video. Quality and footage is top notch and I like your editing paste. it's fast, but not "mr beast in your face jump cut" fast and you still get some jokes in there with audio.
Being a Luc Forsyth video enjoyer I like to see that others also talk about the less fancy gear like tripods or a simple cable. Keep it up!

Looked up the Nanuk, carryon is typically limited to 7kg, the case is 5kg, doesnt leach much room for much of anything for the limits. Some international routes depending on the carry may offer 9kg or 10kg

Yeah man I've got some killer manfrotto tripods from like over 10 years ago easy. But now I'm using my little cheap ones because I'm not using the fluid heads anymore since everything I'm doing is static talking heads. So I'm just run and gun with the most compact things and my DSLRs are so much smaller now getting a big old man frodo fluid head out is just kind of excessive. I have smaller ones too but I don't have any with that nifty latch deal you got going on! It would be cool to have legs like that for my fluid manfrotto heads!

Great vid Ryan and some good suggestions. I have the Sachtler tripod head and it's fantastic. One thing with the carry-on case is the weight: it's 7kgs empty and 7-10kgs is the carry-on weight limit on most airlines.

I never get the need for expensive v-mount rigs. What am I missing? I just hook my camera up to a usb power brick that’s 20 buck via usb c and it lasts for hours. Never had a problem. That being said, some monitors only accept d tap, or Sony/Canon batteries. So you could use a big v mount brick for both I guess. I never felt the need the need tho with my atamos.

In terms of the Condor Blue adapters, I have found a D-TAP to USB-C in/out made by ZITAY to be way better since not only can I regulate current but now every V-lock/Gold Mount Battery can be charged by USB-C. Other than that this was super informative specially for people new into the game

Will you please please give me an Adobe keyboard shortcut thing so I can upload it into DaVinci!!!??? My biggest hurdle is dealing with the keyboard shortcuts. I live on the keyboard when I'm cutting and recently I tried getting back into DaVinci and just really don't know if I can live without my habituated keyboard shortcuts. I'm so deep in my projects and they are so big that I don't know how easy it'll be to transition but I need all the help I can get!

I hate Adobe so much I can't believe I've been using it for like 20 years. It's such trash. Every year so many dreadful heartbreaking bugs that set me back complete days at a time and weeks combined all while paying out the ass. It's such a horrible nightmare. But DaVinci wasn't really viable 20 years ago as far as I'm concerned and it's been hard to stick with learning it when I have so much work to do. But I think now is the best time!
