This is probably the best "Must have gear" video on here, no BS, just good solid kit and reasons why you need them. Looks like I'll have some parcels coming soon lol.
Thanks for the video!! I’ve been doing photography as an amateur for about 8 years now (primarily on iPhone), but earlier this year I got a Canon T6 and became a photographer for Special Olympics North Carolina.
Tonight I started research for my first camera for which I'm going to be saving money for next two, three months and then get myself a Sony ZV E10 (body only ) with Tamron 17-70. And I believe it would be enough to get me started and then little by little I will stack up a studio for myself. I'm currently employed as a writer, writing audio shows for an online platform but I want to make films of my own. I want to write, direct, edit, total control over my film. I want to do everything or atleast first learn to do everything by my own before employing other people to get my stories out. (Except acting, I would need them from the beginning) So what I wanted to say was after spending all my night I decided on the above plan, and final nail in this was your video about the camera and it's relevant gadgets. I was making separate notes and plans to gather all gadgets but when I saw your video, you just told me exactly what I was thinking at the moment, the things I would need. (I've been present in a few film shoots and a friend worked as videographer). So thanks a lot for your work. I'm impressed and grateful to have reached to you and I'm here to stay. I would love to learn more from you. Overall, even in a first instance, I felt good the way you approached it. A grateful sub here. ❤❤❤
Though I'm from India and I'll have to look for these products in here and many of them I can't seem to find yet but I'm sure I'll get my hands on the alternatives.
Why diopters and not an extension tube? - genuinely curious, I read that extension tube usually gives better quality and also means 1 set of extension tubes for all lenses instead of multiple diopters for different filter sizes.
Good question and a lot of it is a matter of preference. I like the look of diopters. With extension tubes you lose light and most extension tubes don't allow communication between lens and body. I have 82mm diopters and use step up rings. Allthough this is not ideal if the diameter difference is too big, I haven't had any issues so far.
@@SightseeingStan need to try this. My extension tube for Sony has contacts so full communication with the lens (though autofocus has limited usefulness), also usually if you’re getting this close you’re stopping down to get more than 1mm of depth of field. Never tried diopters though, curious now :)
I prefer diopters so I dont mess around with my cameras electronics. Third party extenders are kinda scary while first party is so expensive so diopters are the way to go
@@SightseeingStan BUYER BEWARE... the 89 dollar one does not include batteries or fog fluid... why would they sell this unit without those two items... really disappointed.
@@tanner.quintero3 Days late. No, it doesn’t. Glass is usually the sharpest in the center, so when using a step up ring you actually get more of the image shot through that center area, because the filter is spread out across your lens.

It looks like the ideal subtle localized halation to me!
It's a 1/4 Tiffen Pro Mist filter
Can we just take a second to appreciate such a catchy thumbnail

If it wouldn't be a bother to you, please update India links for these products too. Only if it's not cumbersome.
K&F has a cheaper 99wh V-mount battery at around 105USD. Hopefully they'll also create at least a 160wh version
All great things to have in your kit. Nice video Stan!

I think I have Diopters for every single filter size now :)
I get you Mathieu! They are great! I actually have a 82mm set and use step up rings for other diameter lenses
