Back in 2012 I was stricken with a rare, incurable disease. Occupational therapy was necessary. That's when I started cardmaking and I found your videos a God-send. Thank you for your clear, concise productions without all the silly hype.
Your videos are excellent. You speak clearly, do not digress, and cover the material very efficiently. What a pleasure to learn from your videos. Thank you.
For all of use that cannot afford a cuttlebug machine, buy the folders and use a ROLLING PIN and a lot of elbow grease! works good for me! I get the embossing folders from JoAnne's on sale for $2.00-$2.50 on sale!
Many years have gone by since making this video, but it seen as if it was only made today... I do welcome it and enjoyed it and i know many others feel the same .....thank you.
Oh, once I tried Cuttlebug, I never stopped. It is addicting. You can get them 40% off if you watch for sales @ Joann's online, or google for a sale price like that :) For metallic rub on paste, Tim Holtz kit is what she is using. I have it, but haven't put a real dent in the colors yet. I'm working on it! aloha - thanks Gina!!!!
how lovely...just wondering, there must be a way to do this without a cuttlebug? im not soooo into card making to justify buying one, but do occasionally have art projects where this technique would be really handy....any ideas?
@safi456 I think you can use a tool like a pencil to do a manual embossing (I do not know the tool's name, sorry). It is not as precise as the cuttlebug, but works. You can buy the folders or you can make your own folder. there are some tutorials here on youtube to do it
Hi Gina ..this is January 10 , 2021. I wanted to go back as far as I could to view your older videos to see how you did things " back then" for fun! Do you have videos from when you first started? It would be cool to see your older tutorials!! Hi from Canada! God bless you!
I really enjoy watching your videos, but would like to recommend you try to do something about the volume. Its usually more difficult to hear you than other like videos. Thank you for you hard work.
I saw a video on you tube, I don't remember who it was to give proper credit, but they used a rolling pin. They used this with the cuttlebug folders I believe.
that is what I do, rolling pin. get the folders at Joannes on sale for $2.00 I also have been using the plumbers shiny tape then peel off backing and apply them to my canvas art.
@@karenkelleher989 I also did it with the plumbers metal tape (ACE Hardware) and used Rangers Adirondack Acrylic daubers. Let paint dry overnight r longer then lightly sand randomly. Great distressed effect with pops of sparkle! I cut them into isosceles triangles and use on corners of my art journals. I made a tutorial on my blog of my process, too. hth
Does the metallic rub on paste stay on the foil or come off on your fingers when you touch the card? Where do you even get it and does it smell? Thank you

Thank you!! XO
You would never know this is aluminum foil. Beautiful! Great website, by the way.
Beautiful! I'm glad I found your channel.
Just lovely. I also use the foil tops from yoghurt pots, it's a bit stronger than normal foil too and gives a great result.
P.S. also you can do this and use the alcohol inks on it. then I rub on the metallic paste in places. it's awesome!
Does the rub on paste stay on the foil or come off on your fingers when you touch the card? Thank you
