I just found Leslie as a suggestion from youtube, and I joined her site before realizing that she had passed on. It just breaks my heart. So much talent, I know she has/will be greatly missed. She seemed lake a kind an gracious lady. Thank you for keeping her site alive. She had so much to give, it would be a shame to lose it. Blessings to y’all. You were very lucky❣️🙏🏼
I just found the video from her family. What a kind thing to do, to let her RUclips subscribers know what happened to her. Can't imagine how they got through it. Thanks for letting us know first.
Your a special person , wish I had discovered your channel a couple of years ago . God bless you and love to your strong family for leaving your channel open for others to enjoy your talents xx
I love working with metal tape as I have been cut by it more than once. Thanks for the Christmas card video as I am always looking for the unique Christmas card idea or ideas.
Thank you Leslie. I have had some of that plumbers tape but forgot why I bought it...Thank you for your video's...I subscribed and thumbs up...I had to laugh when I saw that you had the original sizzix, I do to, but I put it away and forgot about it because since then I have the BIG SHOT, Big Kick, Grand Calibur (which I hate) and the Spellbinder Platinum. I think that is all of them...but that little machine was a great gift when I first started crafting...I LOVED THE VIDEO!!!
Super cute! I love getting ideas on using materials that aren't official "craft" materials. Next time hubby jokingly says, "Do you want anything from Lowe's? " I'm going to say, "Yes!" Thanks for another great video.
Carrie!! I'm so sorry for the delay in responding to your comment. Good grief! Three months you have waited. :/. Thank you for your kind comment on using metal duct tape on greeting cards. It was fun, and I'm sure you will enjoy finding ways to use it in your creative space. Leslie
I have been looking for new tutorials from her, and when this pop up l said wow she's back, but after reading the others comments, l am so sorry for your loss Beautiful Lady, may God Continue to Bless your family
Lucky You! That would be a great test. An electronic cutting machine vs the die cutting machine with metal tape. That could be quite interesting. I don't think I would be able to be patient waiting several months LOL. Rosemarie, you are very fortunate. Leslie
Just spotted this video, awesomeness! Thanks Leslie! I have some of that tape too but haven't used it for crafting although that is what I bought it for. LOL! You're fun to watch, makes me smile 😊
Thank you, Renie. You can do SOOOOOOO much with that metal tape. Put it on some card stock and run it through an embossing folder, use alcohol inks on it, as you saw - use it with die cutting machines. I hope you have been having fun with your tape. Also I hope you are doing well way up there in the north woods :D Leslie
+Leslie Bockenstette I'm doing pretty well. In fact my sister and I went on a road trip to Iowa and spent a week with a cousin. Had a great time and met up with another cousin and a couple of my sisters sister in laws. Laughed a lot and got lost a little. Tomorrow we're going to play in her craft room and make cards, I think. Sure enjoy your posts on fb and videos. You and Joe make a good pair. Stay safe out there! I'm adjusting. Just takes time.
Renie, I am so glad to learn you have a big family to love on you during this difficult time. That is very special indeed to have someone to laugh with and share life with to help comfort you. Have fun making cards with someone else's tools and supplies LOL....that might just be trouble in the making. You may find something you JUST HAVE TO HAVE to add to your craft space. LOL Hugs my friend - Leslie
this tape can be found in many widths and thicknesses just like foil for Kitchen use but search local HVAC supply stores, some only sell Wholesale to businesses but some like WW Grainger also sell retail to public. when you find a good fit stock up as you never know when Manufacturer may close and it has an unlimited shelf life. My fav is 4" wide and a bit thicker than yours but wider widths are also available if needed. the good brands will even stick to clean wet metal. also find an HVAC supplier that handle "Fiber Board" Duct products as they also have nylon paddles (Blue) to smooth out tape and often include 1 with multiple roll purchases as this is the main thing used to assemble the fiberglass board ductwork.
I love watching your videos. You are crazy crazy it is so fun to watch you. you are very informative and you teach instead of telling us what to do. you just got a new subscriber. can't wait to watch more of your videos TFS
Two beautiful cards Leslie! I love how you showed one sketch mirrored - it doubles the sketch possibilities! The metal tapes looks awesome! You are well on your way to Christmas card exchanges! TFS! Paige
+stmpgrl Thank you, Paige, for watching the video and leaving your very kind comment. If you haven't figured it out by now....I don't follow the rules very well :D I hope you have fun with your card sketches and seeing how you can "break" a few rules, too :D Leslie
+flbrenda Woo Hoo, flbrenda, you are ahead of the game :D Alcohol inks work fabulous on this metal tape, too, if you want to give that a try as well. Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate you. Leslie
Thank you, Janet. I appreciate your enthusiasm for learning new things. You may not appreciate me for much longer if your sewing room is no longer a sewing room. LOL Ooopsy :D Hugs - Leslie
That metal duct tape is some really awesome stuff! You can use dies to cut the stuff, embossing folders (spread it on a piece of card stock first) for cool texture, alcohol inks for color....so many things to do with this stuff you get at a hardware store :D Thank you for watching my video and leaving a comment. Leslie
Just a hint on getting the backing paper off the tape: Bend a corner toward the metal side. The metal part this will usually separate the backing from the metal as the backing doesn't bend as easily and will try to straighten out.
Thank you, Jennifer, for watching my video and leaving a comment. I appreciate you taking the time to do so. You have put a big grin on my face :D Leslie
Hi Leslie - Super beautiful! My only suggestion is fold over your metal tape to the backside of the card. It will help keep the edge of your card from being sharp. I love your video and suggestions!
***Fun. Good video! I would try to use the metal tape backing, that you pulled off. You could place on paper, maybe lightly ironing like you can with freezer wrap, and the spray paint, or dab inks over them and remove the backing. You could also use the square with the cut out, as a stencil!!
You are so gifted! Those are absolutely jaw dropping gorgeous! Very beautimous!! I came across you, there’s always reasons!! I share your video with my sis! Thank you for sharing , want to try to make my dad one! Xoxo
oh my gosh, this is coool. I am fairly new to your channel.... i know another use for this technique you could also cover both sides and make tree decorations. thanks for the lovely idea. exciting
+Jennifer WC Thank you, Jennifer WC, for watching my video and leaving a comment. Ooooh, a great idea! Christmas decorations using the metal tape! Leslie
+Christina Galloway Thank you, Christina, for watching my video and leaving a comment. I appreciate you. Put some on a piece of card stock and use your punches for a bit of pizzaz :D Leslie
Love this! I have used the metal ductwork tape on Halloween costume, I'm thrilled to see it used for Christmas! I am a new subbie with notices and a thumbs up!!!!
Just watched this again. Thanks for trying the lighter on the back of the foil. I mentioned using thick embossing powder. I remember heating the embossing powder until it melted. Michael's sells the little electric pot. You leave it in the pot and use it when you want (yes it does get hard again). We dipped something in the embossing powder several times to make object thicker. Then used on a card. Also trying shink art again. Have fun and thanks
Love watching your videos. TIP: use a repositionable glue dot to hold your card base in place while you are positioning the metal tape. Creative Blessings! ~ Kelly
Jen, please do use the metal duct tape idea on your upcoming project. I look forward to seeing what you do with the STICKY-STICKY-STICKY stuff! Uhm, did I say the tape was sticky? :D LOL Hugs - Leslie

I love that tool that you are using to remove the parts of the snow flakes.
Beautiful! Love using different materials. I've used aluminum cans and embossed them for a card front also.
This is so cool! I love that the duct tape already has a sticky background👍 TFS !
Dear Leslie rest in peace
A great new tool to make beautiful cards! Thank you!

Dec. 2022. Very helpful. Good use of the duct tape. I had that exact same flowered top you're wearing. Wore it until I wore it out. 😁

Great Vid! If any of you gals want make the silver tape a bit tougher... you can laminate it with the wide clear packaging tape before you cut it out.
Awesome, I will be using this technique next year. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing Leslie! You are just so fun!
