- Salutations and welcome to Kirby Plays Games! In this video I am going to be sharing my tier list and rankings for every vehicle in 7 Days to Die! This means we will be covering the bicycle, minibike, motorcycle, 4x4 truck and gyrocopter to figure out the top tier and bottom tier vehicles so you can figure out what you should try to get your hands on in the game!
For this list I will be considering both their accessibility and their utility. In other words, how easy they are to acquire and how useful they are in the game world. You are totally welcome to disagree with the ranks I assign, and if you would rank them differently, please feel free to drop your own tier list in the comments with some explanation as to why you would place them differently.

Thanks friend! Tier lists are tricky since there's so many variables to consider and so many different opinions to consider... I'd like to do more vids like this though. Hopefully in the new year. :)
So far I only have the mini bike and bicycle and I gotta say I really overestimated the mini bike and was kind of disappointed how it wasnt even much faster than the bike and having to supply it with gas is just kind of lame. I cant wait to unlock the motorcycle
Not dissing your ranking-just kinda wish there was some kind of tread vehicle-like a small little square tank that is pretty hefty, slow, scrap built, but well armored enough and could be used as a cargo hold/run, large enough to house two-three players, but cramped enough to not make it a mobile home. Most vehicles or defenses rely more on offense than defense; yes, “A strong offense is a great defense” but there are some players, like myself, that wouldn’t mind taking it slower every once in a while in the apocalypse. But it’s just a little thought.
Definitely did not come across as a diss, I actually really like your suggestion! I think some kind of slow-moving armoured transport vehicle would be a great addition to the game!
Hopefully the developers come across this comment one day and decide to throw it in. Or maybe something like that is already in the works for the next update. We can only hope!

@@KirbyPlaysGamesTV I had been thinking of a completely opposite version of it for years now, a superbike. A vehicle which is extremely fast but has no storage and gets destroyed fast if not kept on roads. However it would be 2x as fast as motorcycle. How would u rank such a vehicle?
@@KARTIKEYA007 I actually really like the idea. I think it would work especially well in public/multiplayer servers where people worked to keep up the roads and develop new ones. Since the main thing with vehicles is getting from A to B I would probably rank this at the top of the list just because of it's speed. ;)
@@KirbyPlaysGamesTV but won't the fact that it will have no inventory space and that it has to be kept on roads balance it out a bit? Not having inventory would really sap it's importance imo since u can't really take it for raiding. Idk though, just my thoughts, could very well be wrong
@@KARTIKEYA007 I think those factors would definitely help keep it balanced. The need to keep it on roads is a more significant factor in my opinion, but I think that has to do with my play style. I personally don't use vehicle storage much, I keep it empty so I can put my vehicles into my toolbar. The reason for this personally, is that I often play on pvp servers where you drop everything on death except what is on your hotbar. So for me it is kinda of a habit to pocket something important like a vehicle. In this way your vehicle suggestion is just really in line with my usual play style and so I don't really feel the burn of not having storage, but still realize the benefit of getting places much faster. I will acknowledge though that most people use vehicle storage a lot and would see this as a big downside.
I hope that helps explain where I am coming from with suggesting that your vehicle suggestion would be top tier in my books. :)

The bicycle and motorcycle are the only vehicles worth having.
Storage on the SUV is nice but I hate the handling.
I hear what you are saying. In my solo playthroughs I usually just get these two. The main exception is when I did my "escape" playthrough where the objective of the series was to build a gyrocopter.
The bicycle and motorcycle seem to have the best value for what they take to acquire. At least in my opinion.
Do the vehicle mods introduced in Alpha 20 change your rankings any? (Ie. the Added Seat Mod allow the 4x4 to hold up to 4 people)
They probably would yes. Honestly I am just starting a new series in alpha 20 so I am not too familiar with them yet. Have you had a chance to mess with them? If so I am curious if you feel anything was significantly nerfed or buffed from before! :)
I play with a buddy of mine and we mostly use the jeep as we raid together… but I always carry the motorcycle on my in case we decide to split up or if I get disconnected while he’s driving… I usually log back in miles away from where I even disconnected at lol
Carrying a second vehicle is a good call. I always carry my vehicle when not riding it incase the server goes janky... I've literally fallen through the map before and had my vehicle fall through the map too. -_-
I want to start off with this I see why you went with this as your tier list but in my opinion
1st paracopter cause if your in a sticky situation you can just fly of to a high place
2nd truck cause it has so much storage can hold 2 players and it is really good with zombies
3rd motercycle cause it's so fast good with zombies and has decent storage
4th bicycle cause it doesn't require gas and it's pretty easy to craft
5th minibike cause it's hard to craft has same speed as bicycle only up side is storage

I have to admit, I have spent some more time with Gyrocopter in PvP servers and it is really growing on me! Especially since in the server I was playing in there was a mod to make it a two seater. :)

I think you are right on both those points. Dragged my feet a bit switching to Alpha 19, since I was finishing a series, but going to be way faster on the draw with jumping into alpha 20.

What update is this
Question: when I find a 4x4 truck crafted and locked by another player, can I somehow destroy the lock and steal it?
Not that I am aware of. I know with locked storage you can break through the lock, but I am pretty sure with vehicles you just blow up the vehicle.

@@KirbyPlaysGamesTV no problem however do you perhaps have a video on smg and shotgun turrets? Like I am trying to find the exact numbers on coverage like what is the range of them and do they detect in an area of 180 degrees or less and do they still work when placed vertically on a wall?
The only thing I do know about them turrets is that they don't set off the explosives of a demolisher anymore like they used to. Which was kind of annoying because a horde base with turrets used to be pointless but since alpha 20 they changed the turrets so that they fortunately won't set off the demolishers anymore!
@@FlikkieFloekieFlakkie I don't have anything covering turrets unfortunately. In most of my playthroughs I tend towards dart traps and electric fences personally, so not much experience with turrets TBH. The main reason is that they used to set off demolishers so I am stoked that that has been revised... gives me a chance to mess around with them a bit more. :)

I like the truck while mining
The extra storage is definitely nice for this! Not bad for big loot raids either (i.e. hitting up multiple factories, or dishong tower.)
Actually the gyrocopter is not that bad. I don't know anything about pvp, but I can ensure that in pve it's almost a must have for chasing quests that are far away. It is also faster that motorcycle as the game says when you hold on it and press "open" (It is like 14 km/h vs 15 km/h for the gyrocopter). And by the way even if I was slower it's going to skip all the mountains so it's faster anyway. Landing might be a problem, but when you get used to it you can easily land wherever you want.
About the minibike I don't agree at all. Minibikes are supposed to be crafted in early game, when you don't have food and stamina which are required to drive the bike at a decent speed. The material needed to craft are not that bad and you can even hope to find it at the vendor at a reasonable price. I was able to afford my first minibike just by doing some missions and buying it at the vendor.
I would place at first place both the motorbike and the gyrocopter. The fact that in the 4x4 you can fit 2 players it's not a killer feature considering that you can do it as well on a motorbike by adding a mod on it. And the space storage isn't either a "good feature" because in late game (when you are going to be able to afford the 4x4) you will have a robot with a extra 3 rows of space each players, which is going to be more than enough for almost everything you need to carry. With an extra sit, the motorbike still wins the fight against the 4x4 for me.
Bike is at the last place for me: "useful" on early game, but as soon as I could I bought the minibike and saw a massive improvement in terms of stamina, food/water and minor storage space. Complete wrong ranks for me lol
Those are some great points! These rankings are based on my experience with the game of course. I think that in solo playthroughs the gyrocopter has always been too resource intensive for me to get much use out of it. By the time I get to it I'm usually in the end game already.
Something you mentioned, about stamina food and water, is something I've been thinking about more with the bike. It's great that it doesn't require an engine, but early game using food and water to recharge stamina for travel can be problematic. I definitely see what people are saying with the bicycle.
In summary; I'm not sure I would rank these vehicles the same as I did two years ago. When I did the rankings I weighted "ease of construction, and materials required" very heavily, which is how the bicycle ends up in the middle.

To be honest, I am more interested in the "why"... When I get a critique I try to understand where the other person is coming from.
If you believe it's self evident, then I'm not going to push for elaboration, I just wanted to be able to consider your point of view on this as a fellow creator.
I understand sometimes it can be difficult for others to explain their positions, or maybe not worth they effort.
I would suggest that things that are obvious to some, are not always apparent to others.
are you crazy? This tier list is perfect. If there are a limited amount of things, then people want to know what is the best out of those things. Ever hear of a top 5 list? This is it.
