- Hey guys and gals! Starting off with a Moto Vlog to get out of the garage. It's been a long time coming that I make a return to the RUclips world. I've missed it and I have still been working away behind the curtains (and recording). More on that stuff later.

wow...finally. It's been a year or so. So happy to see you are back.
I know... I hold my head in shame for the long time I've been away. But I've got some ideas for good video to entertain you guys
I've got an 08 naked fz1 and it's my first liter bike, it's got ecu flash with full exhaust and that's about it for mods, In my mind the bike is stupid fast, I could only imagine what a turbo would do. Super cool build, great job.
Thank you bud! And it can be down right scary sometimes when the bike hooks up just right. You just become a rocket

First watch of your channel here, I have a FZ1 with all the bolt ons that’s about to hit 100k miles. Planning to buy a motor/transmission and rebuild it with the supercharger kit. Definitely subscribed! Keep up the awesome content!
Thats awesome! If well maintained these motors can go on for a long time. You will love the supercharger! Definitely enough power to keep things fun. When you do go that route let me know and I can send you a good base tune to get you going

I was a master tech for cars so know general ICE maintenance and feel like I can handle the “new” engine/transmission style if I take my time. Videos like yours and one other series a guy made about rebuilding our engine have been and will be a huge asset to me as I plan to do all the work myself. I already swapped the frame (eBay used ‘08. $350) after cracking it in the standard place doing stoppies so I definitely have some blood, sweat and tears into her.
She rattles and clacks a bit at midrange rpms but I always keep her topped off with 20w50 full syn and change it often and she’s been reliable. valves been adjusted recently and I’m replacing the coils and plugs today, it’s got a low rpm misfire. Anyways, you got great taste in motorcycles 😉
Love the color too. Mine is pretty sun faded so I’m going to rattle can it white with a pearl clear coat… I did bodywork in high school so I think if I just do light coats and give it a good sanding it should be legit, but thinking vinyl wrapping may be better/quicker/easier? 🤔
Also I’m going to color match the radiator “shrouds” or æstetic covers on either side, I think they look like fangs and would look good accentuated… just some ideas for you. Thanks again for putting all this together!

Nice video looks good thanks for taking the time to edit I almost always question whether it's worth editing for the vast minority of people who will see my videos and can use my input! Lol. I can't wait to hear more about the bike setup very intriguing very interesting. Those dyno numbers are gonna be very important for techies to geek out on. We'll have to wait for some boost audio on the ride at boost, and how it appears while riding in pickup speed! Probably best not to do that in the neighborhood though! Sweet setup I hope the bugs are minimal and the setup help you need on the dash is asap!
Got 03 fz1 and wanna put a supercharger on it wondering on what brand to use?
So you do not have the idle adjuster anymore ? And what needs to be done for the belt drive ?
The idle adjustment is still there, the screw on the side. But the electronic motor controlling the first set of throttle plates is gone. Also I should say the real cause is the actual holes that feed air to the idle ports is wide open right now. The stock velocity stacks in the airbox covers most those holes diameter but with how I have it setup at the moment they are wide open with no restrictions so more air = higher idle.
I should also add i have the idle screw all the way in pretty much to help. It won't get mechanically fixed until winter. So the ecu fix will work for now
The belt drive superchsrger kit is a TTS kit. There is a drive sprocket that attaches to the crank and the crank drives all of it. A real snazzy setup. I could possibly do a video on that as well
Where did you get the dash?
The Dash is POWER TUNE DIGITAL. it's a real snazzy little unit. Australian made but they have dealers all over. Not plug and play as I wish it were.

Unfortunately I do not. I actually gave it to a local Fz1 rider. I installed it for him too. He didn't like the stock one and didn't mind the road rash. If I had it still I would have gave it to you

@@fz1rider524 it was actually a good decibel. Wasn't too loud but wasn't quiet either. And I mean that in a good way. The tone was definitely deeper and more throaty. Its sad it was damaged or I would have kept it. I will see what I can do for a video or get you two in contact

I think I know exactly who you're talking about. MR.HELMUT. he is an awesome guy. But yes he was making 315hp to the crank. Such a beast of a bike
How did the bike feel with the added weight of the supercharger compared to stock weight? I have been working to take weight off of mine where I can since I got it.
Do you mean feel as in maneuverability or feel as in acceleration?
Maneuverability, it is a pig from the factory.
@@kevincrawford6864 she is a heavy girl. For maneuverability I don't feel it changes much from the few extra pounds. What changed it for me was when I did the extended arm.
You should check out the videos of racing schools using the fz1 as the class bikes. Yes pig like but very capable

how much hp and torque?
Honestly not a clue until i get back on the dyno. But I can say before I did all the updates i made 215whp and 110tq at 6.8-7psi. Next season i will be knocking on 25psi's door with the new engine

@@mobleyMobley I have not been back to the drag strip since turbocharged. Still tuning phase with this new ecu. I can tell you my best time when supercharged. With a slow 1.60 second 60' I got a 9.60 1/4 @ 145.6mph.
I had to go find a picture of my time slip.

Absolutely 100% I don't want 2 boosted motorcycles. I bring it up mid ay through the video. I appreciate all your guys' patience. Life and work have had many setbacks
Are you using a restrictor for the turbo
@@clivepalmer7356 good question answer is yes. It being a ball bearing turbo it doesn't need a lot of oil like a journal bearing. Just the presence of oil. I had a .050" restrictor in it but was still too big and getting too much oil. Had oil coming out the cold side of the turbo. I bought a few inserts that go into the restrictor and drilled one for .027" works perfect. No leaks
@@clivepalmer7356 I just wish I knew what the oil pressure was after the restrictor. To see if i'm in spec for Garrett's needs
