    Absolutely looks like a beast, surprisingly the stretch looks good. Can’t wait to see a couple pulls.

    Wait, you didn't build this for ME?! LOL. That height sensor tapped into the ECU to adjust timing to slow the bike to keep it on the ground is a slick touch. If it wasn't for the bar end mirrors and the flush turn signals I'm not sure you could call this the baddest FZ in the world, but now that you cleared up their obvious HP gains I think you called it accurately! I can't wait to hear that turbo spool up and the waste gate give it a good dump. Think you could use a duck valve to give it that characteristic "QUACK!" during waste dump? And of course the biggest question, what's left before we see it run down the strip?! I hear white FZ1's are faster than the other colors, and almost as fast as the white/black 2012 combo!!

    • @rhetericalpha
      @rhetericalpha  Год назад +1

      Im glad the mirrors and the flush mount indicators are the signs of the baddest FZ in the world Haha if I could make the wastegate quack instead I completely would.
      I'm going to try to make it to the strip this weekend if I can get everything in order.

I am impressed …at the work you put in and that you can handle it lol..I mean shit I must be getting old ,I hardly get full throttle on my more or less stock fz1 before I’m blowing well past 100mph or a curve comes up .😜….quite impressive and a very clean job .. you definitely should be doing something in this arena for work

      @@colinchristiansen haha nice. Maxxecu makes some real good stuff. They have multiple options depending on how advance your build is. (Mini, street, sport, race & Pro) models. They get bigger in size the higher you go. The sport is what I have, the race next tier is a bit too big to hide in the bike or I would have went with that

      @@rhetericalpha they look sweet but the prices on them are pretty crazy. i can get all of the same functions out of a tiny ecumaster emu black

    • @rhetericalpha
      @rhetericalpha  Год назад +1

      @@colinchristiansen when I say this i promise I don't mean any of this in a smug way not in the slightest... believe it or not the maxx sport & ecumaster emu black are about the same size. The Maxxecu sport (what i have) comes out a bit cheaper as the package I got came with a wide and O2 sensor and a undermines wiring harness for $1300
      The emu black was around $1249 when I looked and didn't come with a harness or O2 sensor.
      Another part of cost I looked at was dash display. When you go standalone you don't really have the stock cluster anymore unless someone is making a special patch harness. Sonyou would need a $600-$1500 dash to go with the ecu. With the maxx it also has Bluetooth and has its own dash software so if I wanted i could have just used my phone or a tablet as a dash, which honestly the Mdash software looks really good. I decided to go with the dash i picked for certain reasons.. I will still use Mdash as I can make the bike do certain things from my phone, like pick certain maps. Change the turn up and other things with no labtop. Remote start;)
      As far as functions the Black does have most the features the sport does. Hell it has some Features the Sport doesn't have but vise versa as the sport has some critical features the Emu Black doesn't.
      When I was shopping around I definitely didn't just pick an ecu. I went to a lot of fb pages and forums to look at what the fast bikes were using. Not to be like the cool guys but to see what ACTUALLY works and supports our needs as motorcycle engines are very different from car engines. If you look at the fastest bikes Most use Maxxecu, Fueltech or Holley with few using haltech and very few using Motec because price.
      I actually downloaded a lot of tuner software. That list consists of Holley, link, maxxecu, ecumaster and fueltech. Some specific to the ecu i was looking at for that particular brand. I did this to look at the interface of the ecu, what the software can actually do compared to the online specs and how user friendly it is.
      My next topic for picking was customer support from dealers and tech support from the ecu company. Most the motorcycle drag racing companies in US sell Holley, fueltech and maxxecu so that's where my support would be if needed. The dealer is also responsible for getting you a basemap and support to get you going. Lucky me the FZ1 is an oddball so support was limited..
      I type all this not to be a know it all (I learn everyday) but to hopefully give some insight to you or the next person who is looking at going to a standalone.

      @@rhetericalpha I actually really appreciate that info. When I was looking (probably at the wrong place) I was seeing $2000+ for the sport so that’s what kind of threw me off. But you should definitely do a video sort of showing how the maxxecu works and the reason why you like it so much over other brands!
