I just bought a 2009 FZ1 project bike. It has been sitting for 8 years. I have to refurbish the fuel tank and decide whether or not I'm going order a new quarter fairing or go with a naked set up.
Always awesome content and detailed. Its a great platform and you show so much on tearing it apart and servicing, short cuts, and obviously showing how to upgrade. Definitely hope you continue after these videos with builds and possibly throw bike topic videos for information, guidance, tricks tips, etc. Either way im pleased. See ya on Facebook!
Wow! thanks Nuu-Age1. As long as I have people enjoying this content I will continue to create it. I'll always be turning wrenches but I do have other build ideas up my sleeve that I would love to put on here as well. I'll always keep my FZ1 but I'll be adding to the stable for sure. I'll be put more content up once covid goes away and these builds are done. Again thanks!
what were your goals for changing handlebars? Andymancam has a great video on mounting higher, wider bars and addressing all the problems of cables and wires being too short. I saw none of this on your video so what bars did you change to and why?
This bike is getting raffled after the build. It will be supercharged with plenty of horsepower 🐎 the gold bars that were on it were slightly bent/tweeked so I bought a new OEM handle bar, also put new grips and adjustable shorty levers. The handlebar switch was not for higher mount or wider but to change out the damaged part for good handling. Earlier videos address why I was changing them.

I think we could swap tanks. I have a red tank that matches your fenders and im looking for a dent free gray tank
Let's see how everything looks on the frame. If it doesn't really fit then I think we may have something:)
