  • Just a reminder guys of what the raffle build is for (St. Jude) and also that the winner gets $1000 cash along with the motorcycle. I figured we should re-address that part since it hasn't been brought up since episode 1
    Don't Forget guys this bike is getting raffled off after the build some lucky person will win this. A 200+whp bike is getting closer to going to a new home but the more important part is all the profits will go to St. Jude Children's research hospital. If you would like to donate directly please click on the link: www.stjude.org/
    In this one I put a few more pieces of this puzzle together. The intake is drilled, tapped and ready for necessary boost reference lines along with mounted to the throttle bodies. I also managed to get rid of the excess wiring left from the last owner. It just wasn't needed. Lastly, we mounted up the piping! The picture of this build is really starting to come together. The TIME is nearing.
    Let's not forget about our ECU sponsor David at Vcyclenut. A real trooper for the cause and he knows his stuff. If you are in need of an ECU flash check out his Site at Vcyclenut.com

    How much weight did the supercharger system add to your bike ?

    The intake plenum requiring some "massage" does not surprise. I have some experience with UK parts for Nortons and Triumphs. Mostly good but some are WTF? Mostly fabricated stuff that required refab and/or machining. American and Japanese parts and kits generally are spot on. The RCC Turbo kit I installed this year required almost no rework or extra hardware. The best kits IMO. Chinese stuff is a joke. Cheap crap that doesn't fit or work.

      I was pretty surprised myself on how much I needed to remove. I went from a sanding cartridge to a high speed steel rotary tool i used to port the head. Ive never got anything from Japan but that wouldn't surprise me of good quality from them... their Bikes show that and they have pride in all their work. What did you put the RCC kit on?

    • @fnnm1
      @fnnm1 3 года назад +1

      The RCC Stage 1 Turbo kit went on my own personal 2008 Gen II Hayabusa. It dynoed at 301 HP with stock injectors but tuned it back to 255 so is usable. The engine is NOT stock. I have ridden with 3, 4 and 500Hp bikes that can't turn, way too extended wheelbase, can't stop, or can't get power to the ground. May beat me in a straight line for a bit but I always come back around and do it on pump 93 gas. Rock solid dependable. I drag raced for decades and that kind of bike belongs at the track. My bike is solid and dependable. My FZ1 is fairly well tuned to the max with Ivans stuff and runs quite well. But boosted power is addicting and have considered the TTS kit. But all the massaging? It get tiresome.

      @@rhetericalpha I have a 2008 fz1 with a 2554r turbo having problems with oil in intercooler turbo is lower than oil pan

    • @rhetericalpha
      @rhetericalpha  Год назад +1

      @@clivepalmer7356 Hi there Clive. I'd like to see some pictures of your bike.
      There are a few things that can be causing that. One being lower than the oil pan is a big factor. That means even with engine off there is a slow supply of oil going to the turbo. You need a 1-3psi cracking check valve. So it only allows oil to flow when engine on.
      Next a scavenger pump is very help to take the oil away as gravity cant do it.
      Make a small oil reservoir under the turbo. This reservoir should have a breather. This helps the scavenger pump flow.
      Next look into running a restrictor on the oil feed side. If the 2554r is a ball bearing turbo it needs very little oil. You could also be over oiling and the oil isn't draining fast enough so it's pushing past the cold side seals and blowing into the charge pipe. This has happened to me.
      And last make sure you don't have excessive crank pressure. This will push the oil in the opposite direction and out the turbo. Add some breather ports to the engine.
      If there is a way to contact you let me know and we can chat more.
      I'll probably do a video on this subject
