Literally the best value photographic purchase I've ever made. It's short comings are the vignette which can be minimised by stopping down or eliminated in post, easily enough. The flaring is common in a lot of cheap Chinese lenses for sure. You can see the flaring in the view finder/rear lcd and recompose to minimise or eliminate it or even use it artistically if you want. Once you are aware of its shortcomings it can produce excellent images which are sharp edge to edge and have a really nice colour rendition. I even prefer to use this lens to use this lens over the highly rated Fujinon XC 35mm f2 on occasion. I have taken test shots at similar apertures and the TT Artisans has superior edge sharpness when stopped down a bit.
Just picked up this lens. I wanted something light with a small form factor. I plan on using it for hiking where I just want to snap a few shots without bulk. The price was right too.
I get it yesterday, new for 116€ from ebay and loved it directly. The autofocus was so silent and pretty fast, cool. The picture quality seems good, but I will today test it more seriously, because yesterday was it too dark for fast shots out of hand. I made only a few nightshots, and they looked well. I think my Fuji X-T1 will work with it very well. A amazing price for this well built lens, I will it anjoy today. I changed it for the TTArtisan 23mm f2.0, a very well lens too, but I missed the exif informations and ... well, the autofocus. Now I am happy ;-) for only 40€ more.
Owned both. Sold the Fuji because the autofocus was crazy load, people noticed it when shooting. Also, the build quality was not much better. So I kept the ttartisan and sold the Fuji, and haven’t regretted it. Ok, it’s a few CMs longer, and it’s not weather sealed but why’s that an issue fora pancake you can cover with your hand. As far as lens flare, yes it does, but if this was a vintage lens we’d be calling it a signature. Why do we judge new lenses differently? This is a great lens at a great price…… And it is in stock, unlike the Fuji!!!!!
That opening clip is truly blessing my eyes, crisp and clean, the color really good and harmonic. I never get that result with my fuji camera, is there any tips or setting i can use to make cinematic shoot?
Fantastic shots … but want to one thing is it Weather Resistant Lens ? I’m having Fujifilm XT30 ll with the XC 15-45 mm which is not Weather Resistant. And looking for 27mm Prime lens which is WR. I’m from India 🇮🇳 and it’s very Hot and humid weather almost all through the year.
Was curious about this lens after youtube recommended me a review from a tuber I didnt recognise. Figured I'd do my own search only to find a tuber I DO recognize has reviewed it. Part of me is just insufferable in that if its being reviewed with Japan Street, I'll be so much more interested in watching hah
Glad you liked the video. To follow up on it, I did not keep the lens. It is not good enough so I don't see myself using it regularly. It is far from terrible though but I knew I would not use it
Would this lens be good to pair with the XS-20? Thinking of getting that combo for a good all rounded first camera set up. The 27mm (40mm equivalent) focal length seems good for most situations, and I like that it has a small form factor!
Great video! I really love your style of editing and composition. Makes me miss Japan😁 Tho i do want to know what would be your everyday use versatile lens as well?
This Lens is IMO a f4 Lens...🤣 with 2.8 The Pictures are bad. But its cheap and full Metal. this Lens is also ready for The 40.2 MP Sensor from The XT50 ...

Don't own a Fuji but I'm here for the amazing pictures 👌
I appreciate that!

I think it will be great for your intended use

I ordered my first camera, and it’s the x30 ii. I was looking for a good lens for Japan, and THIS made me fall in love. Thank you
Glad I could help!

Amazing pictures Adrien !
Nice! I agree, vignetting is not the most important for a street photography pancake lens. In fact, it adds a bit of character and creativity flair!
Own the original Fuji 27mm...it stopped working after 3 years of light usage! Would definitely consider this lens instead of the Fuji again!
Thanks for telling this situation.
I think as if the lens could last for decades.

planning to buy this. should I use this for all kinds of shots and videos? Did u try using the flash to compensate the lens flare issue?
Awesome video 💪🏾, thank you! Your sample photos are on other level - real photos which most of the people use for it.
Glad you like them!

Hi there! Which lens do you recommend for portrait shots and for travelling? TTartisan 27mm F2.8 XF or the Fujinon XC 35mm f/2?
I would suggest something a bit more versatile and better quality than the TTartisan, maybe the 23mm F2 from Fuji
For portraits - Viltrox 33mm, you can watch compare with Fuji 35mm
23mm not so good for portraits
I just got one for 30 bucks on ebay. Works fine an i probably won't take it off of my X-T30
30 bucks? How?
@@artphototech No one was bidding on it. It was new

Do you know any good palces for night time street photography in Hiroshima city?
Every where japan is amazing
Eki nishi or nagare kawa are interesting places to shoot at night 👍🏻
Hey, where's your camera strap from?

I think it would be a good pair. Just be careful, 27mm makes 40mm equivalent, not 35mm
Ah ok thank you! I think i got it mixed up, the 23mm would have make it a 35mm equivalent. Thanks!! @@adriensanguinetti
It works good on my XS20. Very low profile. Just received the 35mm 1.8 lens too today for $115 with free shipping.
Just bought this lens and wish I still had my xt20. Using in on my xt3...fantastic!
How would this lens pair with an XT-200?
Just picked this up new on eBay from a reputable seller for $107! Looking forward to mounting it on my (new to me) X-a1.
Can you share your pictures? 😊

Thanks! I think a good old 35mm equivalent can let you do so many things
I like the lens but vignette is making me think of replacing it.
It is pretty strong indeed
@@adriensanguinettiHii , do u have any recommendation for auto focus fuji lense with less vignette ?
Excellent video
Thank you very much!
