Chadwick Boseman😔
I’m so sad right now bruh :’(( RIP
He'll be missed so badly 😭
Rise in Power ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Heartbroken:(
This doesn't feel real
I like to think he actually made it here, rest easy king
He did. He sure did.
🖤🖤
running wild in the ancestral plane like a panther should with the crown on his head rest in peace king t’challa
He definitely made it to his ancestral plane with his loved ones that passed before him I like to believe they were waiting for him as soon as he left us 😔
He’s watching over us with the rest of the black panthers
“in my culture, death is not the end.” rest in peace our king. may your soul prosper
😁
"It is time...for you to come home..."
Out of context, great quote, in context he was leading up to him not believing in an afterlife the way his father did. This is all in civil war tho, so I’m aware of everything else that happened.
Mugetsu so why comment anything at all lmao
Nicholas McCartney Because I wanted to
This Scene hits harder ... knowing that he is Now Among his Ancestors on the tree in the Ancestral Plane
So true
The Tree of LIFE
And knowing that what we do today will be answered for by ancestors and descendants, be the righteous one you can answer for
Isn’t he Christian?
Among us?
Alotta people dont really realize how powerful this scene is.
Of course not. They only care about corny ass jokes and CGI.
Agreed. I just finished watching it for the first time today. And the ancestral/speaking with past loved ones scenes that both characters had was phenomenal. Is funny, I purposely waited to see the movie but of all that I heard of it, nobody mentioned those scenes. 😐 I heard more about fighting, dancing, and people's bodies 😒.
I saw that the difference between ancestral plane when T’Challa goes vs the one Killmonger goes to is that Killmonger’s is in an apartment in Oakland which represents the lost connection of modern black America compared to Africa (T’Challa’s ancestral plane)
Mike Lowry Imagine this scene but with Mufasa and Simba from The Lion King in the star realm and all the great kings from the past.
Mike Lowry You know, some of this movie’s characters kinda remind of those from The Lion King.
T’Challa/Black Panther - Simba
T’Chaka (Father) - Mufasa
Nakia - Nala
Ramonda (Mother) - Sarabi
Shuri - Zazu
Everett K. Ross - Timon
N’Jobu - Scar
N’Dajaka/Erik Killmonger - Kovu
Ulysses Klaue/Klaw - Nuka
Zuri - Rafiki
Okoye & Dora Milaje - Lionesses
When his dad says “stand up, you are a king.” And the orchestra score is so perfect it give me chills every time.
So much meaning. In the story he’s king, in real life black men are kings. It’s perfect
I swear!! The urgency he put behind it
Favorite Part 👑
“Stand up. You are a king.”
I LOVE THAT PART
Captain Barbossa That line got me in the inside. It also made me happy to see his only son as king.
dude i felt this scene i dont wanna get in the details but it made me cry rivers bro i felt it
and just when i was about to comment that i read yours
god bless y'all
Just like Mufasa and Simba
I never understood how T'challa could hear that without tears in his eyes. It breaks me every time I watch it.
Chadwick Boseman battled cancer for four years. That means he gave us Black Panther, Infinity War/Endgame in between surgeries and chemotherapy sessions. He's with the other Panther's now, here, in the ancestral plane 😭😭😭😭
@Thechad201 what about civil war
@@QWERTYTRMC he was diagnosed in 2016, but filming for Civil War wrapped up in 2015. So I am not counting Civil War as a movie in which he had cancer. He may have had it, probably did, but he may have not.
Hes out in the plains playing catch with jackie robinson and gettin on his good foot with james brown
@@darylobey8867 😭
"I am not ready to be without you"
Really hits different now
2:21
🥺🥺😢😢😢
I miss him so much
Chadwick’s legacy will live on in all the black kids who’ll follow in his footsteps to push boundaries and break barriers, in Hollywood and elsewhere. Rest in power, king.
why do you have to make it about race ffs. Just say his legacy will live on through everyone inspired by him. Now's not the time for pulling these petty race cards
Show Maker Agreed. He was a human being, that’s all you have to say. Fuck races, we’re all on this planet together.
Show Maker it was made about race cuz hes black? Hes an idol to black kids.. Nothing bad about him being an idol to black kids
Show Maker He’s not pulling a petty race card, it’s the truth, why are you offended by it?
@@jackfisherable Dude grow up. There hasn't been a decent black super hero in the marvel extended universe for years that can hang with the best hero's like Cpt. America and Iron Man until Black Panther showed up. He'll obviously be looked up to by black children because they have something in common. Just like back in the 70's Bruce Lee's break out in cinema was a beacon of confidence for the Chinese breaking stereotypical barriers as well for other minorities. The original comment wasn't malicious in any way.
The three scenes in the ancestral realm are the heart and soul of this movie.
(bobbing head towards people) YOU WERE WRONG. ALL OF YOU WERE WRONG. TO TURN YOUR BACKS ON THE REST OF THE WORLD.
@@vigneshmohankumar2359 i love how you can actually see the ancestral plane through the window, its a great way of showing how he cuts himself off from his people
“Stand up. You are a king.”
it hits me hard everytime
Mehdi simunovic Imagine this scene but with Mufasa and Simba from The Lion King in the star realm and all the great kings from the past.
Music in this scene and this same piece gives me chill every time
Why does it hit you hard
Forever
Even harder now.
We all know,,,why we're here
R.I.P king 😢😭
Lost my dad last year. Our family watched this movie together in theaters only months before he passed away. Took me a while before I could watch the movie again and especially this scene.
GIP my condolences, brother...stay strong
I cried bro as I watched the film yesterday.
My condolences. I'm sure your dad would be proud of you whatever it is you're choosing to do with your life now.
💜💜💜💜
I know you had tears in your eyes during this scene brother😭😭😭
“Your a good man with a good heart, and it’s hard for a good man to be king” 👑 Rest In Peace Chadwick
RIP Chadwick.
This was always my favorite scene of his in the film. Probably most guys thoughts when it comes to their pops.
“I am not ready to be without you”
“A man who has not prepared his children for his own death, has failed as a father, have I ever failed you?”
“Never”
Youre definitely right brotha. I lost my dad in 2015 and when I saw this I instantly thought of how much I miss him! RIP Chadwick
Benjamin David sorry for your loss my friend.
I'm sorry to hear that, hopefully this can help you in knowing that even though he might not be with you, he is without a doubt proud of you
Both Killmonger’s and T’Challa’s visits start with them holding their fathers
This scene always brings me back this dream I had with my grandfather. I was in a park when I saw him walking down the stairs from Heaven. I choke before embracing him, apologizing for not being there when he left. All he did was smile and hugs back before telling me, "You're still a perfect grandson and I love you so much. Don't ever change." And after that, he just walked back up the stairs so he can live in peace. I miss him so much.
DarkPaladin24 Imagine this scene but with Mufasa and Simba from The Lion King in the star realm and all the great kings from the past.
Heaven is fake

@@galaxy_apollo13 exactly! it's not a literal heaven lol its "the heavens". nor there isn't a literal hell

And now he has truly entered this place. May the king Rest In Peace.
Wakanda forever
This scene hits so much differently now.... Rest in POWER, Chadwick. Yibambe.
Ludwig Goransson did a phenomenal job with the score. When T'Chaka says, "Stand up. You are a King." The music really drives home the significance of the scene. It stood out to me the most after seeing the movie.
He’s definitely the next John Williams.
In my opinion this is absolutely one of the greatest scenes shot in cinema. The score, the set, dialogue and performance of the actors this is one of the most powerful scenes. R.I.P Chadwick Boseman, always our KING.
Yeah the score is so powerful. "Stand up...you are a king" always hits me hard
STAND
UP.
YOU
ARE
A
*KING.*
He’s reached the ANCESTRAL PLANE NOW... He’s with our ANCESTORS!🙏🏿👑
"A man who has not prepared his children for his own death has failed as a father" is such a powerful message, and hits differently when you look at Black Panther 2 post credit scene
I hope this is what heaven is like.
All of my ancestors waiting for me,
the way the sky is, how peaceful it all is.
Rest In Peace Chadwick, we all miss you and will honor your legacy.
I’m hoping too,
But Heaven is better than we can image
I too hope that this is how heaven truly looks like and I can’t wait to reunite with all my ancestors one day🐾
He’s gone to be with his father
This is some "remember who you are" Lion King emotional shit. Great job MCU.
The music in this scene is spectacular!!
very well timed

@@habibrahman8346 Not sure but there are definitely plays based off his work.

Knowing Chadwick did this scene and others such as “In my culture, death is not the end” while facing stage IV cancer really hits different. Rest in Paradise my g and thank you for all you’ve done 🙏🏾
"In my culture, death is not the end. It's more of a stepping off point. You reach out with both hands and Bast and Sekhmet, they lead you into the green veld where... you can run forever." Rest in peace, Chadwick Boseman, the man who brought King T'Challa, the Black Panther, to life.
who's here after MoonKnight ep 5?
The song when t'chaka says stand up you are a king is amazing
Gives me chills every time

“A man who hasn’t prepared his children for his death has failed to be king” 🐆
Its "father" not "king"
Here after Taweret mentioned the Ancestral Plane on Moon Knight. Really makes me wonder what other realms of the afterlife are there in the MCU and if they're ever going to bring some people back from the dead in some way.
Same here !
Valhalla in Thor
My dad died of cancer in 2020, shortly after I decided to watch all the marvel movies in order and forgot about this scene and cried so hard when I saw it. This helped me get thru a really hard time.... and then Chadwick died. I cried today watching the new Wakamda forever trailer and thought I'd come back and watch this. Ironically enough wakanda forever comes out on my father's birthday. Rest easy pops.
so all connected, baast as a egyptian goddest and blackpanther is her avatar , just like taaret said abour ancestral plane, she is not locked in ushabti, becouse there is people (wakandan), believe with her (baast) , and not abonded her
Came here right after Taweret mentioned the Ancestral Plane to Marc and Steven 🖤
Watching this scene after I heard the news about Chadwick Boseman’s death..
'A man who has not prepared his child for his own death has failed as a father.'
Hard and very big truth....
That line, “I am not ready to be without you”, hurts on a whole lot more
"A man who has not prepared his children for his own death has failed as a father" ....man does that hit different now with the new Black Panther.
we all know why were here today 😔
“Stand up…you are a king.” That part gives me the goosebumps every time. Such a powerful scene.
R.I.P Chadwick Boseman 1977 - 2020 *WAKANDA FOREVER*
"A man who has not prepared his children for his own death has failed as a father" - one of the most profound lines to come out of these movies.
RIP Chadwick, you’ve influenced me in many positive ways, and taught me how to be a powerful black man, we will miss you 😔😢🙏🏾
He's Definitely made it there
0:32 Chadwick Boseman just enter Heaven.
RIP Chadwick, gonna watch this movie again in his honour. Wakanda forever! 🙅
This scene is even more powerful now that he is gone
Chadwick has a short life and career, but his effect will be felt for generations. Long live the king!
Every man should always remember those awesome words "Stand Up You Are A King". Never forget it either fellas. , the breed is still alive.
“So you’ll need to surround yourself with people you trust.”
I know he probably means Shuri, Nakia, Okoye and everyone in Wakanda but I’d also like to think it also means the Avengers are people he trusts. It helped with the fight against Thanos after all
That's what I originally thought aswel sisnce he's very close with the avengers and has even been part of the team.
Wakanda Forever! RIP Chadwick! Thank you for being the Black Panther 🙏
2:23 that’s how I feel about Chadwick 😢❤️
“Stand up, you are a king” this scene givers me goosebumps. Reminds me to stand up and take my place, no matter how hard things may be.
I remember in the movie theater, opening night, there were grown men crying when they saw this scene
I just truly love this movie. The spiritual tone, the passion, the story, and everything. When I saw this scene, I nearly brought tears to my eyes, and it was the first time I have ever cried to a marvel movie so much.
Rest in Power ...my king.
Wakanda Forever 🙅🏿♂️
Today makes a year since Chadwick Boseman left us. Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman. Wakanda Forever!
*T'Chaka:* Have I ever failed you?
*T'Challa:* Never.

Just wait.
@@danielmoorefield4891 I like that exchange because it sets up the major burn that comes later.
JSSTyger it's SOOO deep though. the line about a man who hasn't prepared his children for his death has failed them also hints at Erik's father realizing "... well, look at what I've done," later. both men's actions set their sons lives on this collision course towards each other. in another life Erik would've been one of T'Challa's most trusted confidants or a possible noble challenger to the throne. powerful screenwriting...
"Stand up. You are a King." RIP, my king :'(
The beginning of this scene is fr sad like re watching that..mann

This scene is one of the reasons why it was the first superhero movie to be nominated for an Oscar whether people like it or not. Ppl don’t realize how powerful this scene is hand who don’t. When the director of The Godfather praises scenes like this, you know it’s powerful.
May you roam the ancestral plane with Bast for all eternity. Rest in Peace my King. Wakanda Forever.

Imagine this scene but with Mufasa and Simba from The Lion King in the star realm and all the great kings from the past.
RIP. Wakanda forever 🥺🥺
The panthers sitting in the tree gives me chills.
As much as I hate to say it, Chadwick Boseman's actual condition probably enhanced the scene. He knew what was likely going to happen, and he devoted himself fully to the role, knowing it would perhaps be his last. It's a tragedy that he was taken from us so soon. RIP Black Panther.
This scene hits much harder now after Chadwick's passing.

One Final Wakanda Forever
"A man who has not prepared his children for his own death has failed as a father."
As I am a child who was so close with my parents when I was young, I use this sentence to encourage myself stronger when I have to live far from them, even both of them still alive. To make myself strong an not to fail them.
It's a good thing I speak fluent Wakandan because there are no subtitles.
This scene speaks volumes after losing Chadwick. Just the genuine silence in the introduction of this scene got me in tears knowing our beloved T'Challa is now resting with his ancestors.
A true Black superhero he will be missed RIP KING
ryan coogler is a genius
@Mike Lowery you are absolutely right. This scene is similar to not exactly the same as many African Spiritual traditions like IFA. Ancestor veneration is crucial in African culture. Powerful scene indeed.
And ancestor veneration is present in the African American spiritual tradition called Hoodoo. Some Central and West African elements play a major part in Hoodoo. Authentic Hoodoo teaches that there is the land of the dead located below where the ancestors reside and where we will be headed when we pass from this life. The land of the dead is a representation of celestial darkness and the goddess/god energy. This scene fits this description quite well. 🙂😊
Best piece on the OST. Deserving of the Oscar!
