- Aprilia Tuono 660 Windscreen, so I went with the Puig again like I did with my Yamaha R7. I really like the quality of these screens

I had the exact same bike/color bought new in 2021. Wrecked it last January 2024 and just bought the 2024 Tuono Factory Speed White.
This video was a great refresher to remember how to put the Puig tinted windscreen on my new Aprilia. Nicely done!
Ohh no that sucks, glad you’re ok though! And thank you!
@@ScoutsOut thank you! Keep up the good work!
Very cool, this windshield looks so much better, great video and a fantastic test ride buddy. Keep up the good work and have a great week. Ride on🤙
Thanks ck, cheers bro!
Excellent video! Thanks for the install and especially test ride afterwards.
Looks great!
Thanks man, I appreciate that 🍻
@@ScoutsOut you’re welcome! Did you do a video on different mirrors for the Aprilia Tuono 660? I have the same bike and love it.
….subscribed. 🏆
Nice dude, such a fun bike. I had gotten a few different mirrors for it but the bar end mounting on it didn’t work out. I still need to get another set cause the stock mirrors suck
The specs say it improves drag 12.7% up right and 62% crouched. Just picked up a tuono 660 about a month ago and finally had nice enough weather to start taking it out last week. Man , that wind is something else. Even crouched.. Just picked this bad boy windshield up and looking forward to getting it installed. Even if the upright wind is a mild improvement its still certainly welcome... And at the very least i can now crouch when opening her up and not feel like im sitting on the wing of a plane. On a side note, i got the clear version not knowing the bracket was there. I hope it doesnt stand out like a sore thumb.
Oh nice! It helped a lot in my opinion and really not bad for a sport naked style bike. Let me know how it works out with the clear one im curious now
Hey i’m considering getting this bike too, let me know how the windscreen helps!
@@Vanity7k for sure, the bike is great... the price point is a weird one. The factory is better but if you save enough money on buying a regular one used like i did, the difference in money can make the original better than factory. Taking mine in for its 1000km service next week and got a whole bunch of goodies including a t800+ upmap and 16t front sprocket. Also bought an IMU and quickshifter.
@@Adeus555 thanks for the feedback, congrats on the bike! I’m probably gonna go to the dealer and sit on the rs before I make up my mind cause I don’t really wanna deal with a whole lot of wind being that I ride on the highway a good bit and just sold my fz07 for that reason among others
@@Vanity7k Understandable, i sat on the RS first and felt like it was a bit too aggressive for me cause i like my long rides. Also to be fair, i live in one of the windiest areas in North America with lots of open field. When I go to the mountains with trees and hills its not nearly as bad.
I have this for 8 months, it is perfect
Yea it really is an awesome bike, i enjoy every time i ride it
Looks really good. I'm going to have to look into it.Thanks for the link.
Thanks man, glad it was helpful
Love it my man, I literally just did the same windscreen on my rs660. Looks fricken awesome!
Nice dude, yea this is a huge improvement over the stock and looks sick
Looks so much better. I’m planning on getting this bike in the next week or so. Definitely will get this windscreen. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks
Right on bro it’s been a blast to own and ride so far let me know what you think when you get it 🍻
@@ScoutsOut will do thanks buddy
Just got this bike 3 days ago. Absolutely love it. Also just ordered the same windscreen today. Thanks
@@ozzie4306 congrats on the new bike!! I just got the UpMap for it, I’m looking forward to what it can do 🍻
@@ScoutsOut hope you do a video about it. I’ve been curious if it’s worth it. Thanks
I was having the same issue with my helmet. I just bought an Arai. It fits like a glove! Love your Aprilia! 😊👍
Thanks bro, I keep hearing arai is a solid fitting and really quiet helmet. I need to check them out
@@ScoutsOut Absolutely! Check them out!
I put the Tuono V4 screen on mine. Bolts straight on.
Nice! Good to know
Great job as always Scout!!
Thanks bro 🍻
Looks pretty good!
Thanks it’s been a great upgrade, I just got in the quickshifter and imu looking forward to setting it all up
Looks mint!
Thanks man!
Honest answer, how much more do you find yourself liking this more than the r7?
That’s a really hard question to answer man. They may be similar in power but so much different in practical use. I prefer daily 9x outta 10 to ride the Aprilia to work but I have no interest in taking it to the track that’s where the r7 will shine for me. But seeing as I don’t do a lot of track days it’s hard to argue the Aprilia isn’t the better all around more practical bike… until you factor in the reliability, cost of ownership, cost of parts and upfront price point puts the r7 back in the mix imo
That's fair.
It is dark fume or black can you insert the product code tanks
It was this one which is black amzn.to/3WWXjkE
Looks Great! I will get one for my brand new 2023 Tuono 660 Factory
Nice dude, congrats on the new bike! The windscreen is a great upgrade for it
After using it for awhile, what are your thoughts? I just received mine and saw the warning label about the w/s acting like a magnifying glass and melting the speedo plastic. I looked at the chart it came with and it only reduces wind flow to the head by 3%. Thx!
I like it dude and it hasn’t melted my dash yet 😟 I do keep it garaged though and it’s not my daily ride
@@ScoutsOut Thanks man. How tall are you?
5’11”
Nice video, I wish you did a side by side picture of before and after🤔. Do you think it looks so much better because you are comparing clear to blacked out? My original is already blacked out. Wondering if it is worth the upgrade/money🤔. But I would love to see what mirrors you purchased and how they look.
Thanks man, yea I honestly planned to measure and show the difference and I forgot. I’m outta town but when I get back I’ll measure and let you know how much higher it is. But I do notice the difference from stock
@@ScoutsOut sounds good, thanks 😊
@@superstarsfastcars finally got home from a work trip, it’s 3 inches higher than the stock. I also think the way it’s slightly off the front of the bike it helps with an additional wind flow forcing air up even more. Hope this was helpful 🍻
@@ScoutsOut thanks for taking the time to get that information for me! 🙌🏾
Another nice vid. I'm about to do the same. Is that Dark Smoke or the Black (Opaque)?
Thank you! I bought dark smoke
@@ScoutsOut Thanks bud. Just ordered the same. Looks great 👍
Nice! Enjoy
Is it dark smoke or black? Thanks
Dark smoke
great video
Thanks bro 🍻
So when i come to Cali to collab, do i get to ride the Aprillia or the R7?
Haha both!!!
Nice that looks really good! Are you finding any difference with maintenance as far as thought going into ease of removal of parts? Just wondering if it's like Japanese bikes puzzle of fasteners etc. Got up to 100 pretty quick! 🤙
Thanks bro, so far it seems fairly straight forward with maintenance and the owners Manuel is like a legit service manual with all breakdowns and torque specs it’s nice. I have a scan tool/tuner coming for it this week so hopefully that will ease my mind on reading and clearing lights
