Great video mate, it's always awesome how you film and share the conversion, great job and a fantastic test drive. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. Ride on and have a nice week🤙
Thanks ck 🍻 have a good week bro
@@ScoutsOut 🙏🙌
Always had a soft spot for Aprilias since I owned one of the original RSV Milles 😀. They’ve always had a unique look that I just love.
Yea me too, they are such good looking and great sounds bikes
Yeah? These are those unprounounccable names: Lamborghini, Ferrari, Ducati... when we were kids. Hahaha
Nice one Scout...
You always do a super good job with these tutorials... :D
Thanks Phil I appreciate ya🍻
Great Vid. Got my QS today, so this vid is a great step by step that'll I'll follow. I think I can get away with just removing the throttle-side middle fairing to access the electrical port rather than take everything off the rear. Time will tell!
Thanks 👍
Nice let me know how it works out
@@ScoutsOut All done, bud. Such an easy job to do yourself as you said, and saves a nice chunk of change in labour costs.
Unfortunately, no QS option in my menu which was what I suspected beforehand, so will need to get the ECU flashed at the 1st service.
Also, the 2 middle fairings was all I needed to take off. Just 2 bolts either side, and the tail didn't need to be touched whatsoever. So that saved a bunch of time as well as following your tutorial👍😎
Awesome, glad it worked out. Let me know what they charge you to turn on QS
Love it & for some reason, when you say 'these two' I can both remember when came out, from where on the 2 came off the bike. Along with the next re-assembly step? Watch a video of "Scouts Out", install in 5minutes. Have dinner with wife.
Haha nice! Thanks bro 🍻
Amazing video, just what I need. I just bought QS and IMU for mu Tuono 660 from US and was looking for instructions. Can't wait for tomorrow to try this! Thanks a lot. I hope IMU is plug and play as well.
And I bought Puig Z screen after watching your video :)
Nice, glad it was helpful bro, I should be installing the imu soon too
Nice, how do you like it?
@@ScoutsOut I like the looks, but tbh I don't feel any better wind protection, maybe a tiny bit.
Yea that’s fair it wasn’t super noticeable but totally agree it’s looks much better
Nice Job
Thanks bro🍻
Nice 👍🏽
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video. Unfortunately I don’t have the ASQ down in my vehicle settings. So will have to go to dealer.
Thanks and I’m sorry I didn’t know that when making the video, I just got lucky and the dealer turned mine on before selling the bike.
Owesome video. Thank you! I own the Tuono 660 Factory which come with the quick shifter installed, but this video helps me to get to know my bike better as far as assembly goes. Would you please make an Oil Change video on this tuono? I have not seen one on youtube yet.
Thanks man, glad it was still a helpful vid 🍻
I did the oil change vid but pulled it down as there was a change in manual for how much oil you are supposed to put in it. I will try and fix the vid and repost soon
Question: when installing the IMU in the Tuono 660, do you get 100cv of power just like the rs? Thanks
Not sure, but I wouldn’t think will gain power from an imu
I never thought I would like quickshifters, thought they would make me a lazy rider. I was wrong, I love them. Im think of getting rid of the yamaha one on the r6 as its up only, and going with something else that gives me both like the R1.
Haha yea man I always wanted one but was not willing to pay for one lol, glad I have now. You might wanna check the r6 and see if you can put a blipper on it I know I really can’t on the r7 cause no drive by wire
@@ScoutsOut
A guy on youtube, I think his name is petrohead, he did a translogic I think it was on his r6. Might look into that one.
Hi buddy. The video is great. I am writing from Turkey. Does this Quickshifter need a diagnostic device to activate? Does Quickshifter activate when we plug it in directly? Thank you.
Thanks man I appreciate that, sadly yes. The dealer has to plug in and turn it on. I got lucky and mine came from the dealer with it on.
Sounds smooth shifting...now if you had to sell one of the two bikes which one are you keeping? 😂🤙
Haha yea man I love the Aprilia but it would be first to go
I think it is used in Tuano without connecting the device with ODB to turn on the Quickshifter and changing any settings in the service software? I think it is necessary to open some settings according to km or mileage unit under "Aprilia / Tuareg 660 E5 / Marelli IAW 11MP petrol engine electronics / Self-diagnosis / Adjustments" in the service software in Tuareg. I did the installation by watching this video. But unfortunately there is no AQS setting on and off under Vehicle in the Tuareg menu.
Yea I've had a bunch of people tell me AQS is not there, I just got lucky and my dealer turned it on fore when I bought the bike
@@ScoutsOut It wasn't enabled on my Tuareg by my dealer either. It seems very straightforward to install the quick shifter following your very thorough video. I love videos that get right to the point without a bunch of fluff (most are more about the person doing the video than the information itself which is super annoying and mostly uninteresting). Thanks for putting this out there! I guess I still need to visit the dealer to have AQS enabled.
Thanks man I appreciate that, I guess I got lucky and my dealer turn it in before I bought it, let me know how much they charge you to turn it on, I'd be interested to know if you don't mind
Hi. Have you had a chance to make an IMU install video, for the Aprilia Tuono 660?
No I haven’t had the time, works been holding me up a lot lately
@@ScoutsOut what is the IMU's location on the bike once it is installed? I have ordered both the quick shifter and the IMU, but can not find a diagram on where the IMU should be installed.
I still haven’t looked for it’s location yet, I’ll try and get that out before the end of the month
@@k.a.5283 IMU is under the tank
Did you need an unlock code from the dealer?
No I didn’t
Many QS out there, can someone please help me with a link to this one from the video???
I got mine from here
motoclubofficial.com/oem-aprilia-quickshifter-for-tuono-660-2s001793/
Keep in mind, its not on from the factory. look into your settings and see if AQS is in there if it is and you can turn it on your good, if not then you have to get the dealer to turn it on
@@ScoutsOut
Thank you
After all the money you are spending to update the TUONO 660, aren’t you just updating your bike to the RS660?
Why didn’t you just buy the RS 660?
So it's NOT dealer activated then 🤔 I'm looking to install the quick shifter on my Tuareg 660 and people tried telling me it was "dealer activated"
Mine was, I talked with a few other people that said there’s was not activated and they cannot turn it on. Go into you settings and see if you have AQS if you do you should be able to turn it on even without the QS installed
@@ScoutsOut I'm going to go check now.
@@ScoutsOut I don't even see the option 😭 craaaaaaapp
Damnit, are you in USA or another country, just curious to narrow down if it’s a per country thing or if I just got hooked up by my dealer. I’m going to be installing the upmap soon. I’m wondering if I will be able to turn it on or off with that, I’ll let you know
@@ScoutsOut I'm in PA. I was told by the sales guy it was "plug and play" but I'm wondering if he just meant physical fitment. When I get the quick shifter in I'll see what happens when I plug it in. Worst case scenario, I clutch my way to the dealer after I put it on lol
why do you remove the cpl. behind fairing. That's unnecessary and a lot of work.
To activate the QS, you have to go to the dealer and have it activated!? Otherwise the "ASQ-down" menu item is not available.
Otherwise good video 👍👍
Yea I probly could have worked the wires through without the tail removal but it’s not hard and much easier to see what’s going on, as for the AQS being turned on, I didn’t have an issue turning it on, I guess it’s possible the dealer turned it on before they sold it to me but the toggle on off was there in the menu. Thanks for watching 🍻
@@ScoutsOut I don't have AQS in the menu.
That sucks, I wonder if my dealer did just hook me up for some reason then or maybe the us bikes have it and not euro or somthing stupid
@@ScoutsOut Do you remember if you had AQS in the menu before you connected the wires? I wonder if it shows up when you connect it.
Mine was there in the menu before I installed it
