Maaaate.....you look good on the Ape 660! If you ever get to ride a 1100 V4, I'd like the camera to show your facial expression when you take off your helmet after riding it for the 1st time!😃 Great in-depth review mate....oh, and those those red wheels are a PITA to clean! 🍻
Love Aprilias. My 2005 RSVR that I owned from 2005-2010 was an amazing bike. Until you were stuck in traffic. Then it was awful. The neutral issue, did that mostly occur when the bike was getting hot?
Good comprehensive review, as we've come to expect! I've just placed an order for a Tuareg 660 having ridden one on test against a Tenere 700 both on the same day. How about your thoughts on the Tuareg next?
@@BikerTorque 😁 Can't wait for the next 6 weeks to pass. It has to come from Italy to the UK and then be shipped to a neighbouring nearby Island for the hand over. (No Agent where I live. ) Then once I've collected it another sea voyage to get it home. I'm sure it will be worth it in the end! 😂
Great review Ross Being that it has a parallel twin what makes it that much different than the ninja? I think you’re just a ninja hater lol 😂. With all that’s been said I’d definitely give it a go!
Ninja hater, me?😂😂😂 Yes it’s a parallel twin but has a 270 degree crank. Being a naked competition for this bike is more likely the MT07, KTM 890 or even possibly the Triumph Trident, although it is better spec’d and much higher quality finish than all of those. But it’s also more expensive.
Great review Ross ! Awesome bike too!
Thanks Rochelle, glad you liked it. I think it’s about time I speak with Harley about getting some press bikes for review.
Sweet looking ride mate, great review as always 😎🤙🏻
Thanks Big Bert, I really did like that Aprilia
@@BikerTorque there’s a lot to like 👍🏼
A couple of 2021 model Tuono 660s , new, going for $16,990 at the dealer in Perth
Yes that’s about the price I saw, I reckon that represents very good value.

I did really enjoy riding it and hoping to get a V4 for a few weeks from Aprilia. I might have to do the review in an open face😆
@@BikerTorque LoL! I'd love to see that! 😍

Yes neutral issue was mostly when riding in stop start traffic
The reds look great!
👍

Well done on the Tuareg 660, very exciting. It is a bike that’s on my radar as soon as I can get a press bike from Aprilia Australia

@@speedfinder1 If it’s anything like the Tuono 660 you’ll love it. That engine is serious raucous, can’t believe it’s a parallel twin.
Awesome!
👍
I own a Tuono 660and its a awesome bike. I put a rapid bike modul on it, and the jerking throttle is gone
Good tip. Thanks for sharing
I think the factory is the one to go for
👍
Great review Ross

You commented that she was thirsty , Ross. How much so ?
From memory the “claimed” fuel consumption was about 5 litres per 100 kms. I’m pretty sure I was getting closer to 6 litres per 100 kms
Although my calculations probably aren’t the most scientific
Hmmmmmm. I'd love to open up the throttle on one of these.
You’d love it
I know this is wrong but I;ll just say it anyway. Kawasaki Z900.
😂😂😂
@@BikerTorque I really have no idea.
