Succesfully replaced battery in my A2141 thanks to your guide! Side note: you don't have to unplug wifi, it doesn't prevent main board from tilting. Also you can insert pieces of plastic between fans and the board to hold it in tilted position.
Are you supposed to calibrate the battery by fully discharging it letting it out over night and then charging it fully and after it reached 100% let it charge for two more additional hours and then fully discharge it again and then you are good to go and use it as normal ?
I have the same problem. I damaged the flex cable! But I also had one of the pins come out of the chip that it plugs into on the logic board. I’m wondering if getting a new flex cable will be sufficient or if that single pin coming out will cause it not to work either way.
Only thing I missed was a hint of what to do if the trackpad doesn't quite have the same feel as before. I think mine is a little stiffer now. Other than that THANK YOU!!
How many hours does a battery last? I don't know if and how much the battery life will change? When my Macbook was new it easily lasted 12 hours, how is it in this case? Now my battery lasts a maximum of 3 hours, which is too little for me

I just changed mine myself with the help of this video at 78$ cost of the battery. A repair shop was demanding $425 to do it

Thats crazy! I woulld say $100 to 150 if I was to offer for a fee service.
Did you back up your data prior to performing this upgrade?
I think standard procedure is to replace the whole top case together with battery and keyboard, so it costs more.

We recommend letting the battery discharge to as close to 1% as possible, then charging it to 100%. This will calibrate the battery correctly!

Soaking the glue is a great idea, never considered that, I have a battery to install in one of these next week.
